Will you be adjusting the builds editor to allow people to make and search for 2.6.4 builds?
Doesn't really matter that much, to be fair.
Creating a guide now, doesn't need the build-section to be updated (unless for item reasons).
Searching for a build, doesn't need the patch either (to be fair, I never understood why it was even a search option). Just search by week/month (what ever fits).
Everyone (except the Xbox360 and PS3 doesn't get updated anymore - I think they stopped getting them around 2.0.6 or something) will be on the newest build/patch anyway, as there isn't really an option to not be on the newest build/patch. -

POE creates new content for every season, and is fucking free to play. You don't have to spend a dime to get the new content.
That is STILL the worst comparison that has ever been made between PoE and D3.
Sure, you dont HAVE TO pay to play PoE's content, but you can bet your ass that there are tons of people that buy their packs every time a new league starts (myself included). They are earning money like crazy. Dont even doubt that for a second.
Sure, every can play it for free without buying the packs - but if everyone did that; the game would have closed down loooong ago.
But they don't. I've played PoE since closed beta. That's about 7 or so years of playing it on and off. In that much time I've spent under $150 USD on packs and the like for the game or $21.42 per year on average. Blizzard should've adopted or switched over to a F2P monetization system ages ago for D3 in order to help fund the costs for development - it's not their first game doing F2P (hearthstone, heroes of the storm, even SC2 multiplayer went completely F2P not that long ago). Not paywall it like Necro DLC. You should know better, none of PoE's content is paywalled, 4 stash tabs standard for a free account and all the actual 'content' in experiencing to play the game in it's entirety is completely free. People spend money on it because the system and the game itself is strong enough to warrant doing so. It's funny how things went in opposite directions for PoE and D3.
D3 from Blizzard who had the funds and means to redefine the 2D ARPG genre for many years and could've had the potential to surpass D2 as a legacy defining title instead turned into this minimalistic effort maintenance mode game.
PoE from 3 guys working out of their garage from New Zealand plodded on thru for years and got to where they are now.
Both games have their differences, at this point everybody knows that. But D3's fell off, their idea of trying to introduce a 'theme' in their seasons are literally ripped off mechanics of holiday events of the past. They're practically copying and pasting lines of code in the past but to last around 3-4 months.
They dont? Doesn't really add up with what you mention you've bought.
You just stated, that in the time that you've played the game, you've spent more than D3+Expansion+DLC costs.
..and you're hardly even buying any packs, compared to the rest of the community. Just compared to me, you've hardly used anything on the game, but for each player that doesn't buy anything; there will easily be ones that buy tons of stuff. I've bought $90 worth of packs, the last 4-5 leagues (usually $30-60 before that) and I've reached the "Redeemer"-pack for the current "expansion" (thinking about throwing $80 on top of that, to get the "Subjugator"-upgrade), while also buying the initial founder/supporter pack for the game, way back when it got opened up for that.
If you spread out yearly earning for "the average player", it wont be that big a sum - but it'll be way more than the earnings Blizzard made with D3 (AH aside, when that was a thing).
I agree, that Blizzard should have monetized D3 way better, after the closure of the AH - but I kinda think they "crawled into hiding" with that massive failure and continued outrage from the community over other things at the time. They were stumped - big time..
Just like when people were outraged about the "Season only"-legendaries. Massive outrage about that, which kinda ruined the "uniqueness" of seasons and the longevity of it. Now it's "just the same" (but I still play every season and complete every journey), with no real difference added to them.
If D3 had cosmetic wings (and other cosmetics) in the shop, like they do in the Asian version - I'd be buying the shit out of that as well. It was a missed opportunity on their part. Should have brought that over, when they were doing it on that client. -

Wow.. It's real easy to spot, that the purchase of Curse, and the addition of video uploads to Twitch, has changed this site a fair bit (Just glad you guys stopped setting the Twitch videos to auto-play!)
Every video via Twitch, instead of the usual YouTube stuff before.
Amazon/Twitch is really pushing to try and get people to use the video upload feature, I guess.
Oh well.. It works - it's video, regardless of where it's hosted.

On topic though:
...that cosplay is very low-effort. Just looks like something that was scrapped together, from various pieces of cosplay and then a skull was slapped on the head and one was grabbed..
In regards to Rhykker's video; that was 3+ weeks ago (at least his YouTube video about it, which is the same content). Yeah, I know this post was done a week ago, but that's still 2+ weeks after his video went up.. That's not really new news anymore. But hey.. I guess some people haven't heard/seen it.
Not really a fan of the Westmarch Workshop, so won't/can't comment on those. -

I wonder how long it'll be, before the new mobs actually show up in Rifts.
It's not something I've looked into, but with their track-record of adding mobs from new zones; it'll probably be in a few months after the patch goes live :/ -

I would assume it rolls with a socket and 3 primaries, seeing as a socket is handled like a primary.
...but that's just guessing.. -

Should release on their usual patch days (Tuesday for US and Wednesday for EU).Quote from stevemunoz»
Does the patch release on 3/31 with the new season, or will it come out before the new season starts?
This might be the coming week or the week after (just before season 10 start). I'm more inclined to say it's gonna be the week the season starts. -

"Gargantuan Mechanics" ?
Really?
They have no "mechanics". They either attack (with great force) or stand around looking at you/your pets getting slaughtered.
They tried fixing their pathing/non-attacking, but it's still happening. It has happened enough to me, that the damage boost they would otherwise give, gets diminished massively. You're lucky if you haven't run into this at all - that happens as well.
They work superbly, on paper - but in reality they aren't as effective as they should be.
Edit:
To clarify; I say "they" because of the new ring which splits 1 Gargantuan into 3... -

Now they just need to take a look at bows/crossbows, compared to melee weapons.
The damage gap on the weapons is massive!
I'm guessing everyone has this or that it's some kind of bug that doesn't show up for everyone.
I had my BS at level 10 - highest the bows/crossbows I was able to craft at the highest, were at 150-280 base dmg (approximately) from the BS list (obviously when craft, that value would end up higher). Melee weapons were listed at 800-980 base dmg from the same list. That just doesn't seem right, at all.
Either it's a bug or they totally forgot some code somewhere..
TL:DR:
"Level 60" melee weapons were/are showing up way stronger than ranged weapons. -
May 7, 2015Tagger posted a message on PTR Patch 2.2.1 Datamined, Exploit Definition, Discipline Bonus Damage SpreadsheetPosted in: News
....but doesn't "end-game" mechanics require you to do something in specific steps? I.e.: doing a serious of attacks that "combo" great together with gear and such (also a "mechanic" of the game), to get absolute max out of what you're trying to do.
I don't really see how that was a clarification of any kind (how you describe it) o.O
It kinda just describes kinda broad, how everything that requires specific steps, is then an exploit.
Nevalistis is talking about bugs - how you, with specific steps, can abuse those to your advantage, which then makes it exploitation of a bug.
Any kind of abuse, in regards to bugs (something unintended), is per definition an exploit. Everyone should know that per default.
I kinda feel like you need to revise that line you wrote, so it actually describes it in terms of using specifics steps with bugs.
..as Nevalistis clearly states

Exactly this..
Without seasons, there wouldn't be the massive influx of players to non-season, as OP is kinda hoping there would.
Many people probably wouldn't be playing..
Seasons keeps the game "fresh". It gets people to come back and take "another shot at it".
Heck.. I don't even play when there isn't a season running.. When a new one is announced (I usually stop after 2-3 months in a season), I sit and wait for it to start up - counting down the days (pretty much).
OP.. I'm sorry - your heart is in the right place (wanting more people on non-season), but that's sadly just not the way to get what you want..
0
It was a "permanent" exploit. It didn't just go away. There was "no trying it for a minute or two". If you kept playing that character; you were still using the exploit - not matter if you thought so or not.
You'd have to change characters and not use that character again, until fixed - before you were actually not using it anymore.
0
But they didn't perm-ban people that just simply tried out the exploit once or twice (Mistakes happens - so not saying they couldn't have slipped into a "perm-ban" by accident)..
Not according to their statement at least - or according to the few people I know, that wanted to see what the exploit was all about.
They only got a 2 weeks ban. That's it.
I don't think it's about the severity of the bug itself - but more about abusing an exploit, over and over again (no matter what it was).
They'd have to come to a point, where they'd need to simply ban (either for a period or a permanent one, depending on severity) people that are abusing exploits. They've "threatened" with doing this - they can't just keep holding that above the players - they have to enforce it - no matter how silly some people find the terms.
...but I do agree, that the botters needs to be taken care of - but I just don't think Blizzard has a way of detecting them all - I refuse to believe, that they'd just ignore all the reports, just because they don't wanna lose attention (or something like that) gotten from a streamer that is now finally banned (Maybe not for botting - but he is still banned...).
It's gotta be because they haven't found a way to detect some of the bots - I really can't see any other way they would "leave them alone".

^^ That is correct - at least the WD part
WD's hace 5 2H maces in their loot-table (Wizards have 6, like the rest of the classes).
Getting it as a WD, should take around 375 DBs (average value taken from this spreadsheet), while others is averaged at 475-525.
Again; those are average values and is not a guarantee in any form
So if you just want to cube it; get a friend to boost a WD for you and then start doing the upgrades with that
It's not a much better chance, but at least it's something
---
This last bit is pure speculation, but something I find might be correct in regards to drop-rates (of sorts):
If someone gets an item dropped and you get the transmog (or the item - if they don't need it); it'll drop for you some time very soon. Usually within 1-3 Hours of getting the transmog.
That's what my group and I have kinda stumbled upon.
I can't back this up in any way, as it is RNG (as with pretty much everything in regards to Diablo), but that's what we've noticed.
I've gotten a Furnace/SMK/"You name it" so many times, with a relatively short amount of time between the drops, after getting the first drop or transmog.
This goes for pretty much any "close-to-rare" drop.
We even tried it with the "Gifts", even though they obviously don't have transmogs. Was a 0 "Gifts" a few days ago - Not I'm up to 22 "Gifts" and several of the guys that also picked the one up that got dropped, 10 each as well.
...but as said; I can't back it up in any way - there's no blue-posts or detailed "data-mining" related to this. This is all something we've noticed and kinda feels is related, but might be in our heads (something we want to see be related - I dunno...)

I needed the cooldown that the obsidian ring gives. More cooldown = More Berserker = More damage and survivability.
F&R wasn't needed for this at all.
PE = Pain Enhancer
0
I just used whatever I had in my stash (and on me). Made two attempt at getting it.
First attempt was a few seconds above the 15 minute limit - second attempt was done in 9 minutes (got great density, but kinda shitty mobs and only a speed pylon).
A few items from various sets (with high stats ofc.), but not getting the bonuses of course. Added my BK-weps, strongarms, CoE + Unity + Mara's Kaleidoscope.
You can use any amulet - as long as it's decently rolled - but seeing as quite a few RG are using poison, that's a pretty good choice because you're missing survivability from sets.
Cube:
Furnace - Hexing Pants - Obsidian Ring
If you don't have a Furnace in the cube, I guess a Scourge would be fine (if you get big density) for added damage.
Skills:
Whirlwind w/ Blood Funnel
Threatening Shout w/ Falter
Ancient Spear w/ Harpoon (great for getting mobs tight together, to get more use of PE)
Battle Rage w/ Bloodshed
Ignore Pain w/ Iron Hide (I used Pride of Cassius as well)
Wrath of the Berserker w/ Insanity
Passive:
Ruthless - Weapon Master - Boon of Bul-Kathos - Rampage
If you have a Hellfire amulet you're using as well and it has one of the above, then pick Brawler as well (or something you see fitting).
Legendary Gems (with my levels included):
Bane of the Stricken (58) - Pain Enhancer (59) - Taeguk (60)
Currently paragon 564 as well - thought I might mention that, since that helps a fair bit as well, in regards to damage and survivability

Noticed this on as low as level 50 Grifts as well as start 60s (highest my group and I have gone so far, this season).. Density + Double-stacking Rend (Lamentation), from two barbs = Massive lag..
The servers are getting slaughtered with all these "calculations" being done.. They need to simplify it somehow..
0
How can you be sure?
Seeing as they haven't officially published what's In-Game collectibles we get, we might still see some stuff added other than what has already been made available via PTR (by chance/a "bug" - don't think that was intended to show up on PTR).
0
To my understanding; it's only reasonable.
You're only allowed to have 1 Spider Queen - why should your mimics/clones be allowed to have so many more, if they are mimics/clones of you?
It doesn't make any sense like that and therefore must be a bug or something.
Of course it's better DPS with more of them - that goes for every ability out there - but that doesn't make it "right".
0
Yeah.. Just noticed (dunno why I didn't check there first..) that they go for a fairly high price, with a few exceptions (auctions - which might end up at a high price).
Just got hold of a D3 Collector's Edition (Unused code and all) a few days ago - $250..
I hate myself for buying it (because of the prize), but I'm a sucker for stuff like that and I couldn't get one at release (all sold out and ebay prices were actually way higher than now).
One thing is for sure though - as soon as the Virtual Tickets go on sale for Blizzcon 2015; I'm getting one
I'm not gonna miss a chance of getting some extra stuff and then regretting not getting it, later on
0
I was looking through the various stuff Blizzard added in form of purchases of other Blizzard products.
I then remembered the great looking transmogs from Blizzcon 2014.
Any chance of purchasing that stuff today still?
I know the Virtual Ticket is out of the question - obviously - but how about the actual physical tickets?
Did people that bought those, get these items as well (I'm guessing they did, if they added some code on their account), and if so; is there a chance of actually buying said codes anywhere?
I don't know if it's a shady thing to ask about, but I felt I had to ask somewhere - else I'd just keep wondering about it
Thanks in advance

Gotta get that "Life per Spirit Spent", can't progress without it

I was talking about mine - sorry for the confusion
...although; your skill could use some fine-tuning, if you want to push higher Grifts
What I do for pushing Grifts (compared to the gear shown on mine now):
1. Switch WW to "Blood Funnel".
2. Switch out "Witching Hour" to "Pride of Cassius".
3. Switch out "Overpower" for "Ignore Pain - Iron Hide".
4. Change "Battle Rage - Bloodshed" to "Battle Rage - Swords to Ploughshares" only if HP recovery is really needed, if not; keep Bloodsheed for added area damage.
5. Crit gem in Weapon and Life% in helmet (Might do with CDR as well, if needed).
Might have missed something, but I'm fairly sure I got it all down.
I've managed a Grift 51 (Barely) with this setup.

*3 - until you get Lacuni Prowlers (Chance of extra Primary + %Attack Speed) or Steady Strikers (%Attack speed).
My setup:

Skills are not set for pushing Grifts - more just overall farming of T6/GR40-45.
No issues with Fury, what so ever.
