That bugs fix to leap quake fury gain is huge. that really impacts the way I build, I might have to wear my cindercoat again.. Was very excited to try out cold quake barb with permafrost seismic slam, but now I dont think i can generate enough fury.
I say swap your battlecry or battlerage for a cold avalanche.
If you get the rotation right you will never run out of fury, the amount of fury you dump makes ur avalanche cd faster. you should try it out! (avalanche - seismic slam - jump - seismic slam - jump -seismic sam - jump - seismic slam - earthquake - dump all on seismic slam - back to avalanche). Yes you can fill in a seismic slam between jump it takes practice
Seismic Slam and Earth Quake are already massive AOE, i think you should change battle cry - bloodshed to marauder.
I agree with ^, just maintain a 10:1 ration on chd and cc. Have you came across a Rimeheart? I wonder how that works with cold set.
we need to see how you play your WD, if you are playing him like a barb yea you are getting crushed.
Your gears suggest you should stick with T2,T3 unless you want to play with groups and get someone to tank for you
Here's my specific advice to you:
1) Put a purple gem on your helm
2) you are loosing WAY too much vitality on gloves and helm. they have 750 vitality a piece so you are giving up 1500 vitality
Ideally you want Int, vitality, CC, and CHD on your glove and int, vitality, CC and a socket on your helm unless you insist on skill boost on helm
3) get rid of area damage on that shoulder, enchant that to life%
4) put on another blackthrone gear if you have one, blackthrone belt would be nice, unless you are going DoTs or full pets build, if you main dps skill is zombie charger I would not favor attack speed
5) I would craft aughild shoulder and aughild bracer, and get rid of homing pad and reaper's wrap. Seriously i can't think of any other reason to use homing pad other than split bounty farming
Best gear and was only criting 8mil? you are doing something wrong bro.
6.5mil toughness is way to low, try to get it to 8mil. By looking at your gears yea you should be doing T2, theres no way you can do T4 or T5 efficiently.
By the way your barbarian is far from having the best gears and needs a lot of work. His gears has 0 synergies and you lack %elemental dmg.
FYI. I read somewhere that Maximus fire chain does NOT scale with your +fre% damage, you might want to test and confirm that yourself or else you maybe under a false assumption
The problem is how do you prevent openers just leave without opening the rift? I'm pretty sure there are jerks who would just jack the bloodshard and take off
Just curious, why are you using thunderfury and monster hunter for your weapons? you should be crafting devastaor, or get an axe of sankis, or sun keeper. That should boost your dps tremendously.
Switch your helm gem to %life, MF sucks so much in RoS it's not worth it on your helm.
Try to get an andarial helm with Fire dmg on it, it would help. in the mean time you can craft aughild helm and bracer. That will get you +15% dmg to elite with lots of mitigation as well.
in my personal opinion, RoRG is not worth it unless you have at least 2 sets on you. But you do have pretty nice roll on that ring. Your other ring I would go for two unity rings for your follower and urself, or a stone of jordan.
I would also reroll magefist attack speed to vitality since gloves can give you 750 vitality max, and with your main fury spender as hota and duel wielding, attack speed is not as good for you. That is just my opinion though
What is your clear speed in T1, T2, and T3 with those gears?
Feels like you are significantly under gear to do T3. Sure with fire damage % your dps should be ok but your survivability is crap. You are on the right direction with those pretty nice mage fist and reaper's wrap.
Keep the chest, work on replacing other gears with gears that have synergies. Craft yourself 2 or 3 set asheara, or aughild to boost your toughness, farm some act1 bounty to get yourself a RoRG, craft yourself a devastator or get a sankis axe (both of them combine can give you 40% fire increase),
The key is efficiency, it's much better to clear at lower torment level at faster rate than keep on pushing higher torment level. Eventually your cindercoat will come! go luck!
Just curious, would you guys sacrifice 2~3 min average t3 rift clear time just for the 150% mf?
currently I have crafted the cain set, found myself a 50%mf nag ring. it takes me on avg 10min to clear one t3 rift, the lost of dps using these mf gears cost me about 2 ~ 3 min additional avg rift time in t3. Was wondering if that is justifiable.
RoS, with the elimination of RMAH is designed for you to build your character to the gears u have, not the gears you want. That way, you will enjoy the process a lot more.
I played every day 3~4 hours weekday, 5~6 hours weekend hoping to see a scent of immortal king, but i have nothing but 2 full set of blackthorn, and bunch of items that emphasize on return damage ( an axe that scale with your thorn dmg, bracer with 1000% of thorn dmg, and found a set that boost your thorn radius). So I decided to build a thorn barb.
I found that if you try to come up with the gears combination with what you currently have, and maximize it, it is much more enjoyable. at the same time craft some legs items to compliment your build, run bounties to get the act specific legs.
This game is really enjoyable if you just make the best out of what u have.
