Noob = someone who's just bad.
Newb = someone who's bad because they're new to the game.

I know what you mean about the old days. I lost a lot of interest in this site once Diablo III was announced; it just wasn't the same.

Sad to see you go Silver. (this is AlphaX)

As a concept, they're very similar, but once you get down to the nitty gritty architecture, it looks loads different.

No dedicated servers = no good connections, no communities, and no modding.

These are the only advantages that a PC has over a console in online gaming, and when Infinity Ward, a leading developer, takes these away, other developers will follow suit and we will see the end of PC gaming.

Diablo III is going to support, without a question, 2560x1600; even indie games do.

Too bad imps can't be summoned without corpses...

I also had issues with loading times, and my laptop can't handle the game. It isn't optimized very well.

I've got a fairly slow system with an HD3650 and it runs beautifully at maximum settings. Maybe you've got a driver issue in the background?

I just played the demo and it's a pretty fun game that has great atmosphere.

Well, guns were confirmed not to show up in D3, so thats the first thing.

Alright, I thought you were another one of the nerds who were crying "THERE ARE NO GUNS IN MEDIEVAL LANDS BLAAHH!" (because there are), but you actually brought up the best piece of evidence anyone could.

A pirate COULD fit in the diablo lore, but guns are surely not the way to go.

    To each his own. :)

However, in the trailer, there's much more action than suspense.

    Are you calling me stupid?

I would definitely get another monitor if I could check websites while playing competitive games like League of Legends where you simply MUST have 100% vision of what's happening at all times. I would definitely pay to be able to refresh and control another desktop, but only if I can do it while playing fullscreen, which is impossible today.

I'm not calling you stupid, I never called anyone here stupid. In fact, I'm agreeing with you about how you said gaming on two monitors is a bitch.

Like you just said, in theory, it could prove to be a great thing for gaming, but the lack of support just kills the idea where it stands.

The music in Torchlight is certainly Diablo II / Matt Uelmen - ish. But, and this is a big but, it doesn't fit in with the art direction of the game at all. (I'm not referring to the graphics in the same way people complained about Diablo III, but rather the actual art style in their site and menu graphics).

But you have to understand that no one in their right minds is getting more than one monitor for gaming (unless they're running 3 displays with ATI Eyefinity); we're talking about the benefits strictly from a business point of view.

Wrong. Most bigger monitors supports bigger resolutions.

WinSplit Revolution is also a very handy tool for multitasking if you have a large monitor.

The highest you can go with a single commercial monitor is 2560x1600.

However, those are expensive $1,000 30" computer monitors. It's more affordable and gets you better results to buy two $200 22" 1080p monitors. You get a bigger screen, more pixels, two monitors, and all for $400 vs. $1000.

But, for gaming, dual monitors are a pain.
