Two words, Das Keyboard!
As far as a mouse goes, I use a 5 button Dell optical mouse, nothing special.

Lately, the spam bots have been getting much worse. At first, they would spam channels in chat, then they moved to wispering, now they join games to spam...

It doesn't seem fair that I get temp banned for joining games too fast, but a bot that joins game after game, all day, doesn't seem to get banned...

It gets annoying muting them as they join, especially when they are leveled to join hell games, I think they are there for the run, so I invite, then they start spamming... By then, the screen is full of text, and I didn't have a chance to mute (squelch or whatever it is).

Is there anything I can do, like report them to Blizzard? Or can Blizzard just ban them already?...

I usually play as a Sorc (ES/Frozen Orb), from my experience, no matter how many points you have in Cold Mastery, you cannot break cold immunes, therefore I use an act 2 merc to kill the monsters I can't..

Sure, I have some points into lightning skills as prerequisites, but theres no way I can kill cold immunes in hell.

Seeing as D3 is more coop play, rather than single player (like D2), this shouldn't be a problem, but if they do introduce mercs again, I think the more control would be better...

Alright, I don't know about you, but on countless occasions when leveling in Diablo 2, (specifically Baal runs), when my mercenary is quite a few levels lower than I am, He ends up dying, causing me to pay over and over to revive him.

What are your thoughts on Mercenary Control in Diablo 3, being able to specify where he/she moves, whether or not they defend or attack, what attacks they use (assuming they can have multiple in D3), etc?

Yeah! Ive been stuck leveling on my own, its great for my merc, he hardly ever dies, but its taking a long time.

I had this problem for a while, I could get on every realm except USEast, You can try the steps here:

There are 3 steps, a Telnet Connection, Tracert, and NSLookup. These can help you identify the problem. If you still cant fix it, you can try:
http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21138&rhtml=true

Which will reset the server listing in your registry.

If none of these work, you can do what I did, (because mine was a temporary ip ban), unplug your router/modem for about 5 minutes, and then plug it back in. Check your external ip address:
http://whatsmyip.org/

It should be different than before, Then try to log in again.


If all else fails, you can contact Tech Support via the 'Blizzard Tech Support', or 'Open Tech Support' channels on USWest.

I sorta do this, except we dont usually level each other, we just use each others accounts to xfer items, or hold items for a while. If I log in and he's really close, sometimes i'll level him, but nothing major.

Ive never had a character over 93... I dont know how people get to 99, it takes literally all day to get just 1 level...

I have:
1 Char on Non-Ladder, a level 86 (I think) Frozen Orb Sorc.

2 Chars on Ladder, level 24 Frozen Orb Sorc, level 1 Frenzy Barb (just started, not even permed).

The difference between Ladder and Non-Ladder is that ladder characters are ranked, and can be viewed on the ladder. Also there are some items that are Ladder Only, and can only be obtained with a ladder character. Im not sure if there is any other difference.

I play USEast Softcore Ladder, but also have non ladder characters from when ladder reset. Id love to have someone to play with. The friend I usually play with recently moved, and doesnt have his wireless internet set up yet.


Right now im a level 24 frozen orb sorc, ive been playing the whole game solo, so im just starting act 3. Let me know if you wanna play, id be glad to!

Awesome, Im definately going to pick up all the Diablo books (along with a friend of mine). We have both been playing Diablo I/II/LoD for several years, and have always been interested in the storyline, but never sat down and read all the books.

Now that these 4 are all in one, (and Amazon has it for $12.00~) it seems like a great time to buy them all ($43.00~ New @ Amazon), and get reading!

I always choose a Defensive Merc from Act 2, theres no real reason, other than thats what Ive always done, and they have always worked out good.

Did you already have the Helm on at this point? If so, when your stats drop below the requirement, you will be able to keep the equipment on, but it will no longer be added to your characters stats. (Im pretty sure it wont show in game, only in the inventory, and should have a red background, even though its on the character)

As for why the stats got messed up, i cant help you there.
