Their lack of imagination with Iron Golem is troubling. They could have had a raised Iron Golem gain the ability of a legendary used on it, could have had set items lower that set need by 1 for the necromancer, and it could have given us an outlet for all the legendaries we find.
They Golem wouldn't need to be redesigned, raise one in a GR and it only lasts for that GR, everything could be the same skill wise.

The ISO view is a standard for the genre, there are way more failed 3rd person diabloesque games than successful. Honestly only 2 come to mind and they are more hybrid fps, Borderlands and The Division.

I'd rather get something new than the rehashing of all the old classes. I'm happy we are getting Necro, I'd be happier if it were Assassin, and this is pretty much everyone right now. Some people are really happy Necro is coming, some people are happy but would prefer Druid, some would prefer something else, etc... They should just give us new, I think they should game break, I honestly like that way of doing expansion and packs. Then they can go back and retool what they broke, it makes a more interesting experience.

I've been playing POE for the past couple of months, just came back to D3 for the new season after missing a couple but...
I'm slightly content... the D1 remake does nothing for me, I played D1 when it came out, it's the game that got me into Blizzard. It's the easy choice for a revisit as well, much smaller in scale to D2, which is definitely the most notable game 8 the series.
The only " exciting" news is the Necro, but that not coming out for the foreseeable future is extremely disappointing. The implication of class packs might be good. I could go for a new class every 3 months or so.
The current dev meta of releasing sets for builds is disappointing. All the builds have been done...

The solution here is changing the gems that supply CHD to bring down the overall stat on your character to a reasonable level. Make the CHD rolls better for all weapons, making the low roll 50% on weps and 100% for the best rolls, or rework damage and health pools bringing them all down. The latter would be inline with the lowering CHD on gems.
I think CHD is way too powerful. CHD should give you a possibility of having a (arguments sake) 500% critical hit but it should range 100-500. It should not be a gaurenteed 500%. With this simple change it will make CHD less attractive overall, it will make a character that stacks CHD peaky. High damage would become unreliable, so dumbly stacking CHD which is common now wouldn't work as well. Also it would make the choice between CHD and higher dmg more interesting.
