posted a message on only 4 acts?
Tell me something though. Is Diablo 3 going to be as long as Diablo 2 in the form of having 4 acts (ie. the same size) or they may be the same size as far as the number of acts but each act will contain much more with the optional side quests and such. I say it is the latter of these two because of all the production time ... I mean it is going on 2 1/2 years and this is not including the work done before the official "We are making Diablo 3" announcement, and there is probably at least 3/4 of a year to go before it will officially hit the shelves.

posted a message on Strange Diablo III release find.
    As posted by dirty:

They already addressed that D3 will not be coming out in 2010 because they are releasing only two titles: SC2, and WoW: Cataclysm.

Now I am wondering is WoW: Cataclysm considered a game or an expansion. Is there a difference, if there is then SC2 is one of the games being released, what is the other.

Just logged on about a minute ago to see if it was down. It was up and running on my computer, so it seems the problem is on your side of the fence.

No thank you, I do not want to pay for Battlenet 2.0 because if you want to play multiplayer you have to pay them for the privilege of playing. I would much rather they include LAN in the original game. I think if they did that it would benefit them more in the long run.

I agree with Ranim that someone will just make a post release version of LAN for D3 so as far as I am concerned Blizzard should just include it in the original release, not only will they make money from people who buy it because of that but also buy more than one copy of it because they have more than one computer. This is what I do when I like a game, however I am at the moment viewing D3 as a single player game.

posted a message on Waste of time [No LAN in D3]
I am personally disappointed that they decided not to add LAN to the mix. I think that I heard in a interview with Jay Wilson(?) I believe that adding LAN would not take much because all the coding is essentially there with the battlenet multiplayer. I also get the impression that they want battlenet to be the focus of multiplayer and not have any other multiplayer. I find this annoying because it makes no sense to me that my friend and I who are less than 3 feet from each other on computers in a LAN have to both log onto battlenet to play a game of Diablio 3. This also brings up the point of completely relying on the battlenet servers being up for us to play, and lastly if it is so easy to implement LAN why doesn't blizzard do it instead of letting a third party mod do it.

posted a message on What will multiplayer be like...
I don't know if this has been confirmed, but does anyone know for sure if LAN play will be available in D3. This to me would make the game since most of my D2 games are LAN games with a friend.

posted a message on Customizable Faces
I think that nomaddjs has the right idea in that there should at best be limited customization. Things like 5 skin colors, 3 hair colors, and maybe 3-5 colors of starting clothing. This should be enough to make each character different enough in a multiplayer game so you won't get mixed up identifying who is who. As you get further into the game you will customize youself with types of armor, weapons, helms and so forth that you choose to use making the original customization options less obvious/significant as the game progresses.

posted a message on NEW Unannounced Blizzard Game
For the person who was wondering what IP stood for, I do believe it means Intellectual Property, examples of intellectual property in a game makers case (like Blizzard) would be the games Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft. These are Blizzard's intellectual properties.

posted a message on Have Diablo 3 Questions? Here's Another Chance To Ask Blizzard!
I would like to ask if LAN play will be in the game. I have heard that it was out and multiplayer is only available through battlenet, I have also heard that is still undecided whether it will be in the game. Me personally would like to have it in the game because I would find it kind of dumb if you have 2 or more people on a lan and they all have to connect to battlenet to play the game.

posted a message on do u think there is going to be a secret cow level in diablo 3?
I imagine if there going to put a secret cow level in the game it won't be until the expansion.
However on a slightly different note does anybody remember a youtube video of a guy that goes into a field and runs into a cow and has a kung fu fight with it. The video lasted about 3-4 minutes and was rather humorous or at least I thought so. I would like to track it down if I can.

posted a message on Diablo Petition = Botters.
I can't believe the number of people who are whining about the art in this game. I think the art is just fine and dandy and have no problem with it what so ever. Also may I point out that in a interview Rob Pardo said they are now concentrating on content, you know characters, locations, quests, THE WAY THE ART LOOKS, and things like that. Besides, the game was in the ALPHA stages of development and people are complaining because the art is not what they are expecting in the final product. Sorry but I find these people are just whining and bellyaching about nothing, I mean good god wise up and wait until there is something to actually complain about other than the art in a game that is only in the Alpha stages of development, at least wait until Beta trials before making some suggestions about the way the art looks.

posted a message on What Diablo 2 Classes do you want to see returning
I think that the sorceress/sorcerer will be in the game because it is the diametric opposite to the Barbarian, and I think they will have characters at opposite ends of the stick in the game. The other one I think that will very much be in the game is the Paladin because he is a holy warrior that fights evil, hence the pretense of the game in general. The fifth one I think will be a new type of character or a Ranger/Amazon type character. We are just going to have to wait and see what Blizzard throws our way in reference to the final 3 character classes in the game.

posted a message on Countdown Teaser
I personally don't think it will be a Diablo 3 announcement as much as I would like it to be. Now I haven't read all of this thread but could it be a Battlenet 2.0 announcement.

Wild (out there) Guess: As in diablo 1 (I think) they just sneaked on to the shelves with little or no announcement, so maybe there going to annouce that it has gone gold since we have been waiting fore it so long.
