posted a message on Please help. Need a 2 click build for wiz.

Look up the numlock trick and try it out with the flash fire build, with numlock basically holding down diamond skin, exposive blast, and frost nova all she'll have to worry about is pressing electrocute and teleport which you can bind to left mouse and right mouse click. And even better if she has a mouse with macro functionality you can bind the whole sequence of keys for the numlock trick to work to one macro and toggle it on and off.

posted a message on Just Salvaged My Nemesis Bracers...

Kinda wish blizz would implement a feature to "lock" a legendary so that you can't accidently salvage it even if you click on it and accept the prompt it would give you an error message and you'd have to disable the lock to salvage it if you really wanted to. I know it's kinda a silly quality of life improvement since you can already argue that the one prompt message is enough but when you're spamming you really aren't paying that much attention sometimes.

As makeleth said the only wings that went live were the falcon and cosmic. The other wings were removed from the ptr which is what they used to determine what went live.

posted a message on Idea for additional Paragon functionality

Even though it isn't used much in builds in the current meta I'm imagining black hole being way op with all skill runes. Spell steal with the increased range of super massive and the affix eating ability of event horizon would be nuts. Honestly most wizard abilities would be crazy op with this. Having access to all magic weapon runes and all ice armor or energy armor runes. The 2.4 DMO arcane orb build with unstable sceptre and triumvirate increasing arcane orb damage and them firing twice having access to all runes would be disgusting. Flashfire wizard with explosive blast having access to all runes would be insane. It's definitely an interesting idea but there would need to be a crap load of adjustments to skills before it could go live.

I had the same issue not sure what's up with the builds section, even if you select the previous patch builds that were prevalent then don't seem to show up. Though using google to search for a build usually does link back to the site and the build.

solo 75 is... scary for casual hardcore players like me... Hell, even gems to 65 is, since you have to go at least 64, and that's... potentially-deadly.

Will probably aim for cursed chest and all bosses to get the stash tab.

I did solo 75 last season, with a dmo wizard and I played pretty casually through the season. A whole lot solo. I could see it being rough in hardcore just to get to that point gear and gem wise but if your in a clan having them powerlevel you a softcore to try it on shouldn't be much of an issue. If last season is any indicator some folks will be paragon 600+ by the end of the first week if not within the first few days.

posted a message on Macro in Diablo

Just going to chime in here and say the "numlock" trick as it's been called has been around for awhile. Blizzard has to know about it and has yet to fix or remove it from the game. The numlock functionality simply replicates continually pressing an assigned hotkey with out having to actually press that key. It could be considered automation, it could not since no 3rd party software is involved unless you want to count your keyboard and mouse drivers which is a bit of a stretch.

If blizzard was that dead set on removing any kind of automation they would have removed the numlock trick long ago. While not necessarily a green light to use macros I would use the numlock trick instead until blizzard makes some kind of announcement acknowledging it as a bug and that using it is an abuse of in game mechanics.

Given blizzard's history of "creative" fixes for things, I don't foresee them removing the numlock trick until they either implement an automatic toggle in game for abilities that are necessary to spam or change everything around to where spamming isn't necessary.

I would not remove useful items like you suggest.

That being said, I like the build idea. A lot actually, seems quite a bit overpowered, but could be tweaked through play trials.

In regards to all the concern with "removing items" what i mean by that is keeping the artwork but renaming them to fit their new role as an item. Blizzard does this all the time in their patch notes, I'm unsure as to why so many were confused by this phrasing but oh well.

Yes, I get what you intend, but you are talking about items that already serve a function for other classes, so removing that function from the class would not be wise. So mainly referring to Corruption on my end.

Not sure if there is a shoulder in the game without a function at all. I think they could rework the "items do not receive durability reduction" shoulder without any true repercussions.
Pretty much what Demon said here, I know it's just an idea and all but if Blizzard is going to take the time to develop a new set it's going to have unique artwork. No sense in removing existing items just to use their art assets.

posted a message on Can someone explain to me why is my DPS is so low?

Like I said the only "glaring" thing i can see looking at your profile is the lack of 10% crit chance on neck, having crit chance on your neck slot is pretty mandatory if your after high dps since it's the highest you can get out of one slot. That's why I suggested finding a spreadsheet to see whether the crit chance would be better than the crit damage. At high amounts of crit chance, crit damage will start to out weigh crit chance but only if you're at or around 50% crit chance.

Missing 10% crit on neck, not to sure about barb builds but i would spreadsheet it to see whether keeping the 93% crit damage or rerolling 10% crit chance would be better. Your weapon has str/vit and if you're trying to boost your dps you might want to throw it in a weapon reroll calculator to see how much better it would be rerolling the vit to 10% damage or rerolling the base damage. doesn't look like you've rerolled the weapon yet.

posted a message on Paragon Changes - Looking For Feedback

I think paragon is fine as is with maybe some minor tweaks, I like the concept of getting rid of gold find and moving move speed to utility and giving all classes access to alternate stats like dodge/armor/all res via dex/str/int (even though everyone will still just stack main stat). I personally would like to see some kind of "milestone" system. 1 point every 100 levels for access to some souped up paragon abilities like flat % increase to all damage, flat % increase to all damage reduction, increase to the movement speed cap...stuff like that.

posted a message on New Wizard Hydra Set Idea

I don't think they should make a new set revolving around hydras just yet. If a new expansion comes down the road then it might be a good idea to introduce a new set for each class. That being said I do feel hydra is a little overlooked and would be cool to see it given a second look. Currently all of the sets have a signature spell they are tied into. Tal Rasha has meteors, Delsere has Slow Time, Vyr has Archon. Then there is firebird, it's niche is supposed to be the staple "fire mage" but never seems to be much more than a starter set since it's inception, it's hardly used which kinda sucks since I personally like the artwork on it more than the other sets. The chestpiece especially. Since all other wizard sets have a signature spell tie in it would be nice to see firebirds go that way and hydra seems the most likely spell to do it with.

posted a message on A possible hint for why we might get D4 and why it may be a reboot

Interesting theory would be neat to see a retelling using newer tech but Blizzard hasn't done any reboots of any franchise to date so I wouldn't get to excited. Personally I'm hoping D4 will be some sort of MMO since WoW is getting very dated and with Titan (first person fps mmo project they had) being canned (and probably overwatch now since there is no way they wouldn't use those assets for something) they're probably looking for a replacement. Purely speculation of course but one can dream.

posted a message on [Idea] New cube recipe or new tier of legendary item
    Quote from Shapookya»

It's actually still power creep even if the whole game scales with you, because you can play with other players. It leads to a power disparity where it's no fun to play with a friend who put much less time into the game because due to all the power creep, you either play on a level that your friend is unwell with or on a level, where you oneshot everything and he does nothing.

In a game with infinite progression (or at least seemingly infinite progression) there is always going to be a disparity between those who play a lot and those that don't. Your argument (to me at least) is being presented as I don't want more options to make my character more powerful because I won't be able to play with my friends anymore because I play more than them. This is a problem with the current paragon system and not so much the end game or the treasure hunt for perfect gear. Blizzard should change the paragon system so you can have a character that "opts out" of the global paragon level. Similar to a seasonal character starting fresh. Then you can have your character you play without them when they aren't online who is vastly more powerful, and your character you play with them so you're all on the same or comparable levels.

So in your logic, when you ask

"Lately, I've eaten more and more apples, would it be good to eat 1.) another apple or 2.) a pear on top of that?" and I say "no it's too much fruit", then I'm derailing the topic because now I'm talking about fruits?

Also, I wanted to say this in one of my first posts, but seem to have forgotten about it:

Your 2nd idea is actually something Blizzard actively tries to prevent. Items should not have so many affix slots, so that you can get all those affixes you want. That's bad item design when you can just "have it all". You have to make decisions. They only gave us Ramaladnis Gift because with weapons it was too strict. We had zero choice. A weapon had to have dmg/%dmg/mainstat/socket. That's why Ramaladnis was good. It opened up choices.

Another affix on other slots would not open up choices. On the contrary.

That is constructive and on topic. Thank you.
Focusing to much on one "point" is where this all got derailed. In your example I wouldn't say that it's off topic but it could head that way. I'd like to present another example. Let's say my original thread was "I'd like to start a potato farm, should I grow russet or golden." One person chimes in and says I should grow golden, another russet, then a third suggests golden because russet farms are bad for the enviornment. Then the thread derails into a discussion about how farms are bad for the enviornment. This is what I feel happened with this thread.
