It really pissed me off because I had to work to get the grades and they let people that obviously needed more schooling graduate. It just shows that the education in America needs to be revamped.

It's a compromise to make sure that bad test takers can pass. For instance, we have these stupid gateway tests here and it is very easy to fail them even if you know the material, I really hate that...

What does not being able to read have to do with taking a test. It wasn't that he wasn't able to take tests, the boy couldn't read. He still had to sound out words when reading!

Skylor Framlin sat along the road side ahead of the traveling party. His robes were draped over his small frame and he was holding himself in a simple meditation posture with is legs crossed, eyes closed, and his spade staff laying across his legs. He hummed lightly in song as his mind reached out into the world to see that which was around him and his spirit found the place of enlightenment allowing his body to rest.

Skylor's mule wrestles about and nudges him in the back as the group approaches.

"Be calm Kalym, I do not think they wish us any harm."

The mule eyed the marching group and continued to move around restlessly. The packs on the animals back clanked and groaned as he moved. A light wind caused his greying mane to sway back and flow. He shivered slightly and the brown and black hair on his body raised.

"Just be calm Kalym, we'll be fine."

    Name: Skylor Framlin
    Race: Human
    Class: Paladin gone Monk
    Age: 32
    Affiliations: None
    Deity: ALL gods
    Game World: Fae’run
    Bio:
As a boy he grew up in a small noble family. This family was destroyed by demons and he only survived after being taken to the church. The church took him in and because of his noble heritage he was allowed to become a holy warrior for the gods above.

When he next faced a group of demons in his rage he went blind. He turned his back on the gods and destroyed anything that denied him vengeance for the death of his family. He lost the powers that he had gained through his faith and in the end almost lost his humanity.
He was adopted then by a group of monks who taught him to release his anger and let it pass. They taught him that he must be one with the world and everything in it. They bestowed upon him the power of the body, the mind, and the spirit and the peace that can be found once one has become one with the world around him. He now wanders the world in search of things that defy peace so that he might enlighten them through wisdom, spirit, or the power of the body (fist, legs, etc).

Yet, even though we have more school today, a lot of people are still dumb and/or unknowing to very much they should have learned in school. And some people excel. Either that means some people are inherently smarter than others, or some people received more effective education, or both. So instead of piling on more and more years, we should look to make school more efficient to students.

This is the key. More efficiency in our school systems. I know people that I graduated with that could not effectivly read. If a person can't read then why in the hell are they being allowed to graduate? That is the problem with our schools today. They do not need to be lenghtier they need to be more effective.

The fine arts have taken a big hit in American schools. It seems that the schools are more focused on athletics than art. Which is a real shame if you ask me.

But yeah, all attempts to ban alcohol have always failed once people knew how to get it, over here in Sweden as well. Either we need to ban harder in some way, or we need to figure out how to strike a balance. Because we can't remove alcohol from the world, it's impossible.

I don't think there needs to be any type of ban. I always get tickled at people wanting to just get rid of something because people abuse it. The key is the same for almost everything. Education. The more people are educated rather than scolded or denied something the more people begin to use things responsibly.

    Okay here I go.

In support of AVP I have to say a few things. I always liked both of those stories, the Alien movies are grand as are the Predator movies. Okay on top of that I played the video game back on SNES. Then I read the graphic novels. This had been a movie production idea for more than 10 years and when they came out with it I was overjoyed. It's the idea and the concept of the film that makes it great for me. I don't like some of the things they did with the story but the idea and the action scenes were wonderful to me. yay AVP.

Now then, another transfomers is another yaya.
I am Legend looks very interesting.
    Golden compass looks good.
    Hitman looks good.
I want to see Wolverine because he was the most likable character in the X-Men films being as there was no Gambit.
Does anyone read Stephen King? The Mist is either out or comes out soon and I'm stoked.
I don't even need to mention the Dark Knight, but I'm going to. Begins was the best batman I have ever seen.
I need to go and see Beowulf
There are more but I can't remember them right now.

Small amounts yes. But who drinks in small amounts?

    Getting drunk is irresponsible.

Many people drink in small amounts. Most of my family members drink in small amounts as well as myself. There are occasions where I have too much but these times are very seldom. Yes binging is bad, it kills many college students and some teens. However, the lack of alcohol such as making it illegal is bad news as is shown during America's prohibition era. This launched the largest organized crime rings of the history of the country prior to the ban on mind altering drugs.

[quote name='Equinox']Don't use slang on me... binge = ?
    quote]

binge /bɪndʒ/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[binj] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation noun, verb, binged, bing·ing. Informal.
–noun 1.a period or bout, usually brief, of excessive indulgence, as in eating, drinking alcoholic beverages, etc.; spree.

Binge is not slang its a word sorry you didn't know the meaning of it. I did not have my first sexual experience because of alcohol and did not begin drinking until after high school. You are using stereotypes to base your belief in alcohol which if fine. If you don't like alcohol that's fine I was simply stating why I don't have a problem with it.
