posted a message on Beat People With Sticks
Hello Everyone, hopefully that tittle will bring some folks in to have a look at this thread.

I am a member of a medieval group that gets together and lives the lifestyle of the medieval for a weekend or longer with a few modern amenities. In this group we do litteraly beat people with sticks. The heavy fighting section of the group is focused on armor and chivalry. The group is called the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Their website is www.SCA.org and if you interested you should visit it.

I figured this would be a good place to throw this up. I don't know if anyone else on the forum is part of some LARP group or not but that's basically what SCA is except there is no plot to follow and the fighting is somewhat real.

Yep - controlling it - not it controlling you.

But it is so fun to be controlled by the drink.

I have a question about preists. What build should I go with to lvl it?

Depends on Holy or Shadow Priest. I'm going to assume you are going to make a holy priest that is a primary healer. However you may also want to make a shadow priest I'm not sure. Follow this link and it will take you to a priest guide that I think looks pretty good.

posted a message on Expansion of WoW, good or bad idea?
Well I've never maxed a character level in WoW so I don't know a lot about the end game content and for the most part that's what the expansions add. I have to make sure this next time I'm playing that I stay on one server instead of server hopping with my friends, then maybe I will see all that great end game content.

I've played a paladin all the way up to lvl 10 lol. I'm not much for the warrior type.

so bad idea based solely on a finacial perspective?

I can only base my information on the financial perspective because I have not read into the lore associated with Warcraft and therefore have no real knowlege of other things affected by an expansion.

i just rolled a shaman, what would you suggest as far as talents?

The shaman is a tricky character to play. The build depends on how you want to play it. If you want to basically be a warrior that never gets better than mail and can cast spells then you want a majority of your points in enhancement, if you want to be a mage in mail then it's best to put points in elemental, and it you want to be a healer then restoration. For PvP most people delve heavy into enhancement, or they were I am behind the eightball as I have not played in about six months. For PvE it's more of elemental and restoration. My build currently with a level 46 troll shaman is a 17/elemental, 20/enhancement. I'm not to good with PvE right now but I do okay PvP.

Hello people of the forum. I have just recenctly joined the forum and am introducing myself. I am stuck in rural America deep in the South Western portion of Oklahoma. My internet connection sucks, for now, but I'll get over it. I've played the two dialo games and played D II for large amounts of hours. I was sucked into WoW by a D II friend of mine and have been there on and off since. I have taken some new friends of mine into WoW and have had to inform them that I will vanish from radar as soon as D III gets released.

You are right in the fact that there isn't really a lot of RP in the game. For the most part that is the choice of the players. It seems that most people choose to play the game for the same reason most of the people I have known in the past played Diablo II. The reason is to gain levels and get the best stuff.

However, in WoW some people to get on "RP" Servers, in which Rping is recommended and expected to some extent by the players of those realms. Their characters speak through text and friendships can be formed or lost during game play based soley on RP. In some extents people specifically spec out their characters to represent their idea of the character.

To some extent it could be considered and exceptional RPG because the characters are not bound to do anything for anyone and choose to play the roles they desire.

    Just My Opinion of course.
