And I did somer rifts last night, notably one gave me squat, the next gave me three in less than 2 minutes. I'd say it's simply a bit bumpy on theroad to statistical equality...
Sadly it's a pin point accurate "critique" of the public game system.
...
As for public games, from all the crap I hear ALL THE TIME, I've never bothered to join one.
Not sure these two sentences work together. You've never joined a public game, yet you're an expert on what's wrong with them? Got it.
This is simple. Online gaming has been around perhaps longer than you've been around, I don't know, just a huge ASSUMPTION on my part.
What's also been around a long time is the formation of random people into teams where co operation is one of the necessary components to a successful outing as it were. ( My boy plays League of Legends and constantly rails about his "random" teams cmpetency).
So, I would humbly suggest I don't have to slam my finger in the door to know it's painful, and there are many well written descriptive threads on the pain of public gaming, even in here to see what's going on.
Hey, that's cool. And if you'd stuck to just saying "from all the crap I hear ALL THE TIME, I've never bothered to join a public game", I'd have no argument.
It's just that you acted like you knew exactly what the specific problems were in D3 public games. And then admitted that you'd never joined one. Which made you look kind of.. well, kind of like you were shooting your mouth off from a position of ignorance.
p.s. this "multigame, multiplatform and our main rule is you have to be 25+ years old to get in the clubhouse" group.. I'm in a similar one. I'd laugh if it turned out I was arguing with you on the internet and we were actually guildmates.
I have all Marauders pieces except the head AND I don't have a RoRG that I'd consider goosd enough to wear yet, drop way too much damage.
Here's my build atm. I do have a Garwulf's three socketed but again I'd like to wait for the head piece OR a RoRG of worth.
I guess my main question is should I go Garwulf or 6 piece Marauders when I get the Ring? Which is better the 6 piece bonus or the two extra dogs? I'd tend to think the dogs?
And a side question, what's up with the stats on the link? My damage is right at 961k if I remember right and dex is well into the 8k range. The paper DPS on the bow ( don't mock the cluck!) is 2623 so far and it will go higher (WTH?).
And have they confirmed transmog benefits for the Marauders next patch?
Are my passives and +% damages okay on gear? Do I need to go all fire or all phys?
I do need another socket on pants but just acquired them last night and rolled the one so far.
I know the OP stated no co op, BUT.. my buddy had me open a lvl 1 t-6 bouty run and he simply brought his lvl 70 in and mopped up the places, two bounty caches and I was at 69.Don't have to have a OMG lvl 70 character to drag you through, it's fine.
But on your own, doing the bounties for bonus exp CAN lvl you quickly, just no where near as quickly.
Even running rifts at low levels can raise you quickly.
And I wold add, unless you have a stash of lvl 70 gear waiting on you, it sux to be at lvl 70 and THEN have to go get some gear.
Sadly it's a pin point accurate "critique" of the public game system.

The "group" I hang with is multigame, multiplatform and our main rule is you have to be 25+ years old to get in the clubhouse. Then there's the second rule, don't be an ass and you can stay in the clubhouse. There aren't any other rules.
So, yeah, I don't do public Diablo games. I did 'em in previous releases, played Diablo since it's inception, played Blizzard games before Diablo existed. So what?
Ruk's right, if you can't handle "pubs" lack of manners, don't play with them. I WOULD suggest you pound the hell out of Blizzard to fix it IF you really DO want to play pubs, but don't subject yourself to the crap going on if it's that bad. Pursue changing the system, and maybe pursue findng a few to play with that actually have a semblance of manners and respect for others. Life can be great. Or you can keep doing what you're doing and hope something changes (definition of insanity by some I'm told).
So be lazy, and whine about how bad it is, OR do something about it.
The statement that it's easier to avoid the issue and not play public games IS an accurate and sad cirtique of the public gaming system in Diablo 3 as it is today. There's way too many instances and examples. The only thing I might add is there are probably many instances of good public games as well, and they simply aren't geting any press as it were. Don't know, I can't find any " I had a great time in a Diablo 3 public game today" threads. I'd read 'em.
it's bad upbringing andlaziness coupled with flat out rudeness. Even with me not being in a position to experience this, it is something that needs fixing or theactions of bottom feeding mouthbreathers like that will ruin the reputation of a great game and run off anyone and everyone that doesn't wanna deal with it. That translates to loss of paychecks over at Blizzard.

They should ALL be that way, at least the first time.

Good thread, well written.
I do feel all legs should have "something" unique. Hell I use a Cluckeye for my main DH. Fear the chicken of death! (damage is crazy high).
