I don't recall if RoRG is torment only, BUT speed killing is far superior to a higher level otherwise. If you can do normal at 5 minutes vrs torment 1 at 15, do normal, and kill kill kill...more drop chances easily.
But if you are after torment only drops, obviously you have to be in torment unfortunately. I have had notoriously bad drop rates from caches, but that said, I have two of the rings, but I was notdeliberately looking for them, hence I don't remember what level I got em in.
Now have an increased chance to drop Legendary items on Torment II - VI
Call me stupid, but does this mean that Torment 1 is not having the torment-only legendary items drop chance and doesnt have act legendary items drop rates increased?? In that case, its really an outrage for HC players, which are mainly playing T1 for full loot table but increased safety
Torment 1 IS torment, so it does have torment only drops, does it get an additional buff, no, 2-6 does, as you clearly state. Torment 1 sets the bar as it were, and 2-6 get more because they are harder. They also get more shards because they are harder.
Is this a language barrier?
If HC players want an increase in torment only drops, they need to put on their big girl pants and hop into torment 2. Which I'm sure they probably already do.
Hey, as an aside, and to bump, and ask a question sorta sideways to the OP, has anyone crafted a new item with the reduced, or altered requirements yet? Wondering if this bug might be possible at crafting creation as well as enchanting on crafted?
cache rate notoriously low, they've just doubled it, so only half as notoriously low.
Edit: No, wait, that's inaccurate, they've doubled the chances for a legendary to drop from a cache, and while that is twice as much, minute IS minute, just not as much...
The fact that a suggestion like that even makes sense (from a gameplay perspective) seems highly, highly problematic for me. "Ways to get around"? At its core Diablo was about hunting items, and I have to "get around" a system to find an item for one of my followers or for my Barbarian? Because said system triggers all the time, instead of sometimes? I just can't compute that.
The fact that some people might want a "way to get around" Smart Loot should be indicative of the fact that it's NOT a one-size-fits-all option.
Smart Loot, as applied to followers, is obviously less-than-ideal. My WDs enchantress has nice gear. His scoundrel has significantly worse gear. Why should that be so? It's completely illogical. Why have followers if we need alts to gear them up? Makes absolutely no sense at all.
It's to the point that I basically ignore my followers gear unless they're the same main stat as the character I'm playing because it's too damned tedious. NOT FUN.
I don't see this at all. I mean, woo, that's a good piece with Int on it, stick it in the stash and throw it on ANY enchantress later on any character. It's not like you even have to get out of your seat.
As for It being tedious to play an underpowered alt, that's what they are until you power em up. I mean, everyone says they can level one in an hour or two.To me that seems tedious, you know, it's the journey not the destination, blah blah blah. Besides, a 2 hour old lvl 70 IS gonna have crap gear unless you've been setting it aside IN your over stashed stash WHICH to me is a pain in the ass. No room...
I don't get the tedious, if you feel it's tedious, don't do it. The only twinking I really see with a high level is for same base stat or even a second of same class to try different gear out. -> because I'm too lazy to switch out builds on the same character, and lets face it, switching a build with same gear doesn't work anyway.
I like it the way it is. If I want another class up to speed, then do it, don't whine about it being so hard. It's just a game, you're not digging a ditch.
Truthfully, the quickest way around what everyone is complaining about, and it's a small group complaining, is to group with other classes, which IS a goal of the games development. Mixed classes playing together in almost all situations is stronger, it encourages more interaction, and balanced play.
This is such utter bullcrap, I farmed 5 caches on the Monk and then relogged my Demon Hunter and opened them, and.....what do you know! They are ALL still DEX items! Wasted my time for nothing...
That amulet is one step towards a pet build. Add the 3 wolf chest and it's a great step. Go crazy and go for a Marauders setand get it all, or forever be looking for it...:P
If this is true, and holds up, t would make it a little easier to twink, maybe. And if the Legendary is predetermined, it would make it that tiny bit easier to get one for that "other" class, at least stat wise. However, the leg drop rate in caches is horrific. You'd have to do many at a time. Worst odds than Kadala maybe.

Why would any game be designed that way?
This thread almost smells of RNG.
