No, they could drop from a monster in normal mode after you unlock them with the 70+ Solo GR.

Mad_Tom posted a message on Okay, who's doing seasons AFTER getting all their stash tabs?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionI'm doing seasons, coz my stash in non-season is completely full (I have all classes there, just the basic sets and corresponding legendaries take a lot of space...), so I can play around with different stuff much more than within seasons.
BTW, still didn't empty my "seasonal mail", even though I salvaged a lot in season before season end. It's a hassle to juggle around with all that stuff

Kamui1770 posted a message on All primals do is dilute RNGPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionYep, cuz the difference is there but not major. It can be any where from a 5% - 10% dps increase. This is under the assumption you don't have a perfectly rolled ancient.
But PA are actually amazing on a zmonk and LoN bomb. Think on nearly all gear you have a perfect globe bonus and perfect 9500 thorns. It's actually a stat boost for specific builds just not game breaking

It's not a shard. It's a whopping 15 Forgotten Souls!!!Quote from TrueColdkil»
Primals are not needed for competing in ladders, and if you have a badly rolled one it's a shard like any other item.

Green posted a message on Removing redundant affixes from primal ancientsPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionAnd there we are. Guys, things you are proposing are just band aid to the disaster called "pimal ancient". To be atleast bit usefull they should remove the limit of only one affix reroll per item for primals. You can't really tell what is good and what is not good affix, not only now but also for future developments (imaginary legendary power that increase our power based on bonus xp secondary for example), so they have to stay random.

The major difference is that in D2 progression wasn't tied to an infinite scaling difficult content. And it make the whole thing completely different.
You did endless Baal- and Diabloruns in Diablo 2. This was your highly praised endgame ... Now you do speeds and in the end you try to push as far as your grinding allows you. The same in Diablo 2: the more time you invested, the better was your result ... there is no difference.
As you said, in D2 you had boss/farm runs, over and over and over. In D3 you have GRs runs, over and over and over. Both grinds and farms. But in D2, no matter the build/character you had, you could do it and you could find gear to support your own build and make your character stronger.
In D3, gear is thrown at you and everyone reaches the same plateau very fast. Then if you have the right class/build you can just progress further than anybody else because the only progression left is Paragon (LOL) and Legendary gems. The wrong/less optimal build will make you go only so far then you're locked into lower GRs with nothing to hunt for but +5 mainstat after some playtime.
The grind is not the issue. The way the grind is done is the issue.
Side note: GRs per se are not bad. The fact everyone needs to push as high as possible to progress with their char (due to Paragon and Gems) makes everyone focus only on the strongest builds because why bothering with something that cannot let you be as powerful as other people.
D3 structure is flawed at the core. WHile ladders are interesting only for a few people, there's zero incentive to play the char/build you like because you'll just be less powerful. Fight mechanics can be difficult without infinite scaling and character progression could be not tied to GRs,
But again, expecting something good now from D3 is kinda hard honestly. -

Kamui1770 posted a message on Last minute Season's pushPosted in: Diablo III General Discussionif you were on HC i could help.
Another thing is you should play the Helltooth chicken or Arachyr chicken build. If you are looking for speeds. Jade nuke isn't really a speeds builds. Its a spam DoT nukem build.
Another way is to ask 3 lightning wizards to help you. Pretty much clear T13 in 2-3 mins consistently. -

Cratic posted a message on Looking for a non-Vyr\Archon build...Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient RepositoriesElectrocute is much weaker than the Tal/Vyr archon MH, and about 4 GRs weaker than AT:SD MH, but still does fairly well.
For GR farming use the Tal6:
For solo GR if you want a more tanky build you can use firebirds:
Firebirds AT:SD MH is even more tanky than the Tal version, is also a good option:

Biggest non-issue evah!
Primal Ancients are bad because they do "X" when regular Ancients could do "X".
I'm sorry, what? The only difference I see here is someone will be happy they got a red border. Who in the wide world of sports would deny someone a red border?
...walking away...

How long you've been playing as opposed to how often you play is a factor as well.
If you've been playing since day 1 and you don't pay attention to/care about the latest greatest super duper efficient build, you may have a lot of neat shiny items in your stash....
2
Your only option is to "rebirth" the character, and get your stash tab in less than 30 days, so you can reclaim your stuff from the email.

"Casuals" like "me" have been playing since the original Diablo came out and need all the space they can get because they don't drop better gear, or complete sets as fast as the "obsessed" players, especially when at any given moment over the years sets are reworked.
My interpretation of "casual" is I don't give a good &^%&^ about leaderboards. I want all sets kept, so I can play any class anytime I want.
Oh, and the last thing I think about generally, is whether someone else presumes to know what I do or don't need.
Thanks Bags, I know you feel me.
And this "casual" did the whole journey last season, because it was just sitting there almost done and within reach. Nothing gained...

Many are using the endless walk pair, so if it were used in a build, most likely it would have to be cubed, which if I recall, it cannot.
Maybe in a LoN build or for the lvl45 GRift no set builds... I used it until I got my Traveler's Pledge to drop. It's a great defensive ammy.

It's not an eBay auction where you slip in at the last second and win, at least there you actually get something. I'm absolutely baffled at this hand wringing non-issue.
EVERYONE can play with anything at their disposal until it ends. EVERYONE. And non-seasonal player SHOULD have better set ups and gear than a seasonal, certainly had more time to gather it up. SMH...

Split run bounties with a known group, and a call out if one is spotted BEFORE engagement.
Not really an issue though as they can be passed around in camp for the transmogs.

Well, everyone avoids act 5 like the plague, so it could be hiding in there somewhere.

Caught the second video, liked it. I solo and some of this hadn't occurred to me, and I've been playing a loooong time. So, many thanks!
