Completed the Pestilence Master's Shroud set!
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqZxbzIu8wI

    (2) Set:
Each corpse you consume fires a Corpse Lance at a nearby enemy.
    (4) Set:
Each enemy you hit with Bone Spear reduces your damage taken by 2%, up to a maximum of 50%. Lasts 15 seconds.
    (6) Set:
Each corpse you consume grants you an Empowered Bone Spear charge that increases the damage of your next Bone Spear by 3000%.

2 sets bonus is some nice additional damage but what really makes the set powerful is the 6 sets bonus. 3000% damage Bone Spear is amazing. However, each shot consumes a buff that is gained upon corpse consumption (any of the various skills that consumes corpses works) makes it tricky to use.

4 set bonus, as usually, provides very good damage reduction. It is not hard to stack up 25 stacks. Remember to refresh it before the timer expires.

    The first Challenge Rift:

Not too hard if your aim is only the mats. (Obviously DH is not my main character. :P )

Did anyone play it repeatedly to get better time?

Overall, I think it is good to have this new mode. We can have a chance to try new classes / builds that we would never have otherwise. Or at least it is some easy crafting mats in a few minutes. ;)

Tried another generic LoN pet build last night. Even better than the bone build above. (Of course, for real competitive game play, I will need some real Necro legs and / or set eventually.)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKPk6nI-yqo (Realm of Fractured Fate)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APyqEpGHK2I (Upper Realm of Infernal Fate)

A few interesting skills and passives in this video:
    - Skeletal Mage
The duration is really short so it works more like other spenders than real pets. How many Skeletal Mage you can have depends on the Essence regen rate. I have up to 8 occasionally but usually only 3-4.

    - Revive
Limited to 10 corpses. However, they last for 15s, so usually enough time for you to find the next group if cast after finishing one group. Recast whenever you have dead mobs on floor but do not have 10 corpse pets.

    - Command Golem:
Golem spawns automatically. Activates it to have the Golem does various actions depending on which runes you are using.

A necro legendary boots I found: Bryner's Journey
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uP8voRYxXTo

"Attacking with Bone Spikes has a 20–30% chance to cast a Bone Nova at the target location."
Do not need Bone Nova on the bar to have the effect. Basically some free additional damage.

Since it is non-season, I leveled my new necro to 70 in no time (paragon points + Gem of Eased Ancient 2 hand weapon + Hellfire ammy and Hellfire ring means even solo to 70 is very easy) and made some videos. ;)

Here I borrowed LoN gear from my WD and playing around with a generic LoN Bone build. (Sorry, no real Necro class items yet.)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMX_w6NppgI (Shrouded Moors)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiGm_z4oEck (Temple of the Firstborn)

Some comment about the skills and passives

    - Corpse Lance
Very high damage! However, it requires corpses to cast. Corpses are Necromancer's unique resource. Killed mobs leave corpses on floor. Several Necro's skills require corpses to cast. Therefore, you need to kill some mobs first with other skills, then finish the remaining with Corpse Lance.

    - Command Skeleton:
Skeletons spawn automatically. Cast it on a mob to have all the skeletons rush to it and deal extra damage!

    - Frailty
Which means mobs have 15% less health! Works on Elites!

    Blood Rush
    Basically Necro's version of Teleport.

    Passives:
    - Life from Death
Currently it generates a lot of health globe. Not surprised if Blizz nerf it in the future.

    - Final Service
Necro's version of cheat death. Heal more for builds that have many pets.

    Thanks for the tips!

I finally completed GR70 with the cold garg zuni build last night. Got my first primal ancient later.

posted a message on Any tips beating GR70 solo?

I have not played much past few seasons. Previously my best GR record is 60. I am going to play a bit recently. Right now, the target is to beat GR70 solo with my WD (for unlocking the primal ancient gear).

Which set / build can beat GR70 more easily? My Carnevil Zuni gear is the best. (On my https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Wakeman-1773/hero/5246985 ) I have an ancient Belt of Transcendence, and some resist element ammy I can switch to if it helps.

I also have LoN set. I can combine random ancients for all slot except one of the set rings. However, from my experience, playing like this is slightly weaker than with my Carnevil Zuni set.

I also have Jade, Helltooth and Arachyr gear but they are not as good as my Zuni gear. My Arachyr set is on https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Wakeman-1773/hero/64356027 .

Should I use my Carnevil Zuni build? Or try other builds? How can I improve my build? What is the fastest way to improve now? (I tried looking for Ubers group but no one seem to play non-season Ubers now. =/ )

    Quote from krole15»

The Red Soul Shard gem doesn't have a proc rate, it's on a timer.

Me and GF equipped them roughly at the same time, and consistently for hours mine would go off a second after hers.

Also a word of warning, do not put it in leoric's Crown, damage isn't boosted and it costs 50k to remove.

    ic. Thanks for the information!

posted a message on Red Soul Shard, Wirt's Leg, Royal Calf pet

Made some videos of these 20th Anniversary event rewards.

    Red Soul Shard legendary gem
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEdoFMblzys
It is dropped by the special event Diablo (not the normal Diablo in act 4) in the 4th video above.

Unlike other legendary gem, it can only be inserted in the helm slot. Doing also gives you a special transmog. (Obviously a reference to the Diablo 1 ending that the hero plunged the soulstone into his own head.) Its AoE damage is decent. However, the proc rate is quite low it is on a long timer. Also, every time it procs, the player character is stunned briefly.

Wirt's Leg (for transmog) and Royal Calf pet:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzeMIUnW_ww

    Wirt's Leg:
    - Check the corpses in Tristam for hints (optional)
    - Find the Black Mushroom in labyrinth level 9 (0:36) and get the Rotten Mushroom.
    - With the Rotten Mushroom in your inventory, go back to Tristram, then go east and find Adria's hut. Click the cauldron to get the Witch's Brew.
    - Go back to Tristram and click on the corpses one by one according to the hints. Finally Griswold's corpse drops the plan for Wirt's Leg.
    - Learn the plan at the blacksmith. Craft the Wirt's Leg (it is a mace) and you get the new transmog.

    Royal Calf:
    - Salvage the Wirt's Leg to get Map of the Stars.
    - Go to Tristam, follow the east road and find the corpses of three cows.
    - Click the corpses in order according to the hint of the Map of the Stars: 2, 1, 3: which means middle, left, then right. The entrance to Abandoned Farmstead appears.
    - Enter the Abandoned Farmstead. A chest is in the center of the area containing the Royal Calf pet. Right click the Royal Calf pet to add it to your pet collections.

    Enjoy!

posted a message on Sacrifice build viable now!
    Quote from DVDMaster68»

The Zuni set bonus does not increase sacrifice (it isn't considered a pet skill).

You will want to use LON with sacrifice. It will increase sacrifice damage by x13.

Here are some build that use add sacrifice to the LON locust/garg "walker" build:

    http://www.d3planner.com/250874055

LoN is probably a good option. Unfortunately, I am too lazy to gather
ancient pieces for all slots, so I will leave it to someone else. Please
tell me your result after testing LoN Sacrifice build!

@Dark_Sol: I think I mentioned in the post that I was too lazy to grind paragon
level and gear. I stopped grinding likes two seasons ago. You see in the
video my paragon level was only 570, and my gear were mediocre.
Therefore, I asked someone with higher paragon level and better gear to
    further test it.

posted a message on Sacrifice build viable now!

    http://www.diablofans.com/builds/78860-patch-2-4-1-sacrifice-build

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5Ft-3S4Csc

With the change to Swamp Land Waders pants (Sacrifice deals 350-400% additional damage to targets affected by Locust Swarm or Grasp of the Dead) and Grasp of the Dead: Death is Life (Chance to summon a Zombie Dog increased to 70%) in 2.4.1, build based on Sacrifice as primary damage skill is viable now!

    Build:

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#PQUYZV!Wgdj!bbcbbc ; also Spirit Vessel on my Hellfire amulet.
From my experience, as long as mobs are dying in GotD regularly, GotD and Homunculus are adequate to ensure permanent supply of dogs most of the time. Therefore, other sources of dogs such as Circle of Life and BBV: Boogie Man are probably not needed.

    Gear:

Swamp Land Waders pants is mandatory. Homunculus gives you a dog every 2 seconds. Cubed Wilken's Reach removes the cooldown of GotD, allows you to make sure GotD is on every mobs. Cubed Grin Reaper's mimics help spam GotD, and they do GotD a lot as it is the only skill they can use on your bar!
After that, Zuni set 5 pieces and RoRG provide fetishes which act more as tank than damage source. The six pieces bonus also buff the damage of the dogs. Starmetal Kukri is for the BBV. Alternatively, Anessazi Edge is a good choice for crowd control. The remainings are optional.

Legendary gems: Bane of the Trapped. Others are optional.

    Game Play:

Summon your Fetish Army and Zombie Dogs. Cast GotD on group of mobs. Then start spamming Sacrifice on the mobs. As long as you has reasonable killing speed and mobs always die on GotD, you should be able to keep spamming Sacrifice most of the time. The only exception is during Rift Guardian fights with no adds. In such case, Sacrifice all your dogs => cast summon Zombie Dog, then Sacrifice every 2 seconds to allow maximum of active dogs doing the damage, until you can use summon Zombie Dog again. BBV uptime may not be as high as Carnevil or pure melee pet builds, so use it only on elites / RG / bigger groups.

    Afterthought:
Zuni and SMK is not essential to use Sacrifice. Therefore, other build variations are possible. E.g. LoN build. Someone can try and tell us the result!
The build works fine for TX rift but I am not sure if it can be good for higher GR. I am too lazy to grind paragon and gear. Those with high paragon level and better gear can tell us the result of this build in higher GR.

    Thanks for reading! Any comment?

P.S. I prefer not to call this zero-dog, as the two obviously have very different mechanics and play styles. Better simply call it Sacrifice build, or Wakeman's Sacrifice build if you like. LoL
