after 4 sets of akkan(i mean i canequip4 crusaders)still no fate of the fell

spent 7 days geared up my monk (raiment set + inna set + monkey king ) still looking for the head piece (monkey king)

spent 4 days geared up my DH with marauder 6 pieces

found 2 strength shard of hate8 thunderfury

and ...... where the fuk is my fate of the fell ?! and every piece that dropped for me is towards holy shotgun build and i dont have that fuking weapon ,i saw a para 120 crusader with a 2600+ dps CDR socket one ! WTF ?! I mean WTF ?! I NEED FOTF !
It's all RNG my friend. My main class is Wiz. About 3 weeks ago, I decided to use my sader to run bounties because he has steed charge. I ran a couple of Act 1 bounties and after complete the one in old tristam (in the celler with killing 100 enemies), I was blasting away with my Darklight (also found in act 1 bounties) and after killing 100 enemies, the first chest I open drops a flail. Yep, my FoTF with 2700 dps w/o socket. Kept it in my stash and then keep farming and gambling with kadala with sader and now I'm T6 capable with my shotgun. Took me 3 weeks. Wiz, still squishy after almost 500 hours now and still missing a lot of items. RNG is RNG bro... i don't want to play sader and they force me into it... just keep farming. It will drop.
p.s. I have a new friend who join and start playing sader. He is not even paragon 70 where he found 4 piece akkhan, FoTF (with good roll and socket), RoRG after 300 bounties, Hellskull, gryfalcon+jekangbord... RNG bro. I always say, "some people have all the luck man"...

posted a message on Key Warden in Act V?
Agreed. I hardly farm act 5 due to the increased difficulty with the mobs and the size of the majority of the maps. As a wizard, I despise all the anarchs, death maidens etc. A group of them are as tough as elites.

posted a message on Wizard Items/Skills Suggestions Collection
Awesome post and well thought out suggestion that is in theme and in flavor of the items suggested for legendary powers.

If some of these suggestions are implemented, there will be more variety of the end game build for wizard rather than the 2-3 that are viable at this moment.

    Keep it up Jaetch.

A blue post went up around 8 hours ago concerning leg gem changes. These changes will affect the potency of all leg gems, and will also restrict the use of leg gems to player gears (followers will not benefit).
Damn... so much for the pipe dream of a solo god...

True RNGessus... I've been playing 400+ hours on my Wiz looking for upgrade... then my first ice climber drop... rolling DEX and low at it too 422 with the rest okay roll but which means I can't give up move speed for other thing like skill boost etc. I've also been looking for a decent harrington waistguard as the one I have only roll 103% and 104% extra dmg.

I then copy my wiz over to PTR, ran a quick T4 rift to test out my firebird set, within the first rift, dropped a better firebird pants (with 2 sockets so I can reroll other stats), an 487 int ice climber and a harrington waistguard (RG) with 131% dmg. I was so cheesed... and I can't even keep these beauties... sigh....

Just want to say bravo Bagstone. You've put in a lot of work on this guide and it's great. Too bad I learned that I'm a noob... as I've salvaged *2* Rimeheart which I've found, thinking that the proc is useless....

Which do you think is the best class at PTR?
Your question also depends if you are talking about 2 man, 3 man, 4 man team, solo, SC vs HC and if it's for GR or just crushing T6 etc. It's a really general question. Please be more specific.

posted a message on Only One that wants trading?
    Quote from Shurgosa
In "Blizzard Time", its only been a few hours since the auction house was disabled, and gold account bound. I highly doubt trading will make a return ever, let alone some time soon....

    how about this scenario:
    -trading and auction house re-enabled,
-all auctions are blind bid, and no longer on a "global trade website"...completely hodgepodge garage sale luck of the draw posts on your account
    -auction house takes sizable cut
-BoA 100% gone, gold EXTREMELY rare..mobs no longer carry 5000 gold coin purses for fucks sake.....
-gold consumed passively through repairs maintenance etc.etc... and allitems wear away over time and no longer last forever and will virtually all be destroyed over time irreversibly from use and abuse in battle. I'd love that in a way.....
I think having items that wear away over time will only work if the durability is drastically increased. Otherwise, losing hard to find BIS items is just a harsh gamble because these items are the ones that fetch HUGE gold/real $$ costs and it's still a vicious cycle as compare to the RMAH days.

Blind bind is just a poor idea although I know what you are going at. It's like a random auction house that just happens to be open at the right time and right place which is completely random. There is basically no difference in this than RNG.

In addition, there is still no way to control all the 3rd party gold/item farmers from abusing this system which is the REAL reason that the RMAH failed and cause Blizz to close it up.

posted a message on are WD's gonna suck next patch because they die a lot?
dYeah, I agree with the rest of the group. I was playing a half jade spec with my WD with only 7 mill toughness and I was running with my group in t6. For my "jade" build I was running Queltz helm, jade chest/gloves, cap crimsom pants/boots, auglid shoulders/bracers, sting of ears, cold ammy, sunkeeper and serpent. I only die when I play carelessly, lag or if spirit walk was on cool down. Now I switch to a pet build cuz I have full zuni set but no moj, no smk, no tmf, no t&t, no soj and I'm playing with my group in t6. My wiz, monk are way more geared than my WD but they don't even come close with survivability. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/im2kul-1814/hero/6013024

posted a message on I have TF, TMF, SoJ, MoJ and Totd. Is possible a decent pet build?
I can do t5 without MoJ, SoJ, TMF, SMK but not efficiently. I'm using 4 piece bonus of zuni, 3 piece bonus of auglid/cap crimson/asheara. If I want efficiency, I can do t3 at a very fast pace and almost impossible to die. I swap to Uktapian Serpent when I do t5 & t6 (group). With your gears, you should be able to farm t3 without any issue.

posted a message on Select a legendary every 100 paragon levels
I find that the "fun" of Diablo games is the random drop and going at it some more til you find what you want. I was SUPER frustrated after having 9 mirrorball dropped with only +1mm but Kadala finally own up and gave me my 10th Mirrorball with +2mm. It was gratifying once i got it but it was frustrated as f**k before it but I still keep going at it. RNG is RNG. I've played more than my WD friend but he manage to find all BiS items (SMK, TMF, full jade, T&T, Quetz, full zuni, etc) before me for both his Pet & Jade spec while I only wanted a good setup for my wiz.

TL:DR; I don't like the guaranteed drop. A bonus free legendary drop based on Paragon level (much like puzzle ring) is fine as a reward but targeted & specific legendary drop is a no vote for me.

posted a message on Farming Royal ring if granduer
I find that split farming is the fastest way to find a ring. However, find a GOOD RoRG is a different matter. Of the 4 RoRG that I found (3 int and 1 dex), I'm quite lucky to find 2 that is trifecta (Int & Dex) after about 2200+ bounties (so avg around 1 out of 500 or 100 bags which is okay). It does get repetitive and boring after a while but that's why you get a team together to do split farming. Along the way you sometimes do get a few surprises drop. I've farmed for Act 1 bounties from normal to t6 so I just vary the difficulties depending on what I feel like that day. The good thing is that RoRG is bound to drop and it's just a matter of time.

My two "good" RoRG ring are :-

    1) 497 int, 5.5% CHC (reroll), 7% ias, 46% CHD

    2) 442 dex, 5% ias, 50% CHD (reroll), 5.5% CHC

So don't give up hope. Keep going if finding a RoRG is your thing... I still need one for my str class...

posted a message on Wizard : Int vs CHD
    Quote from mister_p88
Thanks for the link ! that site is very good. It made me realise i enchanted the wrong affix on my ring. I tried to improve a ring with 5% CHC, 40% CHD by enchanting CHD to 47%. I should have instead enchanted CHC to 10% ! giving much more dps :( Oh well, learnt something new today

Lets hope the enchantment reset function gets released ^_^
I wish ring can roll up to 10%. Max CHC on ring and bracer are 6%. Max CHC on gloves, amulet and off-hand are 10%. 1% CHC vs 7% CHD is debatable depending on your CHC:CHD ratio which is optimally 1:10 i.e. 40% CHC : 400% CHD will be the most ideal but not fixed in stone. But since CHC is easier to obtain vs CHD on a Wiz, I would say you made the right choice for changing your CHD.

Best is to play it out on your character and see which one allows you to do better. If you want to test our your dps (on single target), a lot of people uses Ghom as the test subject for their dps output. Hope this helps.

posted a message on Follower updates
Sounds like a cool idea. I personally prefer to have more equip options (as OP suggested to utilize things like 1h crossbow, barb weapons, I personally like offhands etc), more item slots and new follower items so that we can actually feel like playing in a 2 person group for those who prefer solo (I like both groups and solo but solo comes with a pause button) at times when I need to be afk or pause (being a new dad).

    +1

posted a message on Damage / survivability wall as arcane - switch to fire? reroll gear?
    Quote from bigc

Thanks im2kul, that makes sense. I can indeed craft the Cain's set. However, unless I'm mistaken, shouldn't I be avoiding attack speed for channeling spells? I thought higher attack speed depletes resources more quickly.
Yes, if you are going pure channelling spells, IAS will deplete your resources quickly but IAS does add a lot to your sheet dps. You are using MM so IAS is important there to help you regen more resources.

If you are going pure channeling, then you want to prioritize RCR, APoC, resource regen etc. A good example of this for item is Cindercoat for fire, good offhands with APoC and regen, Captain Crimson set for RCR. Another set which I have come to use for survivability is Asheara. The set bonuses does add a lot of toughness which is important for higher torment.

The strength of the wizard is that they are flexible and can be changed to play differently. However, with that being said, their end-game is a bit underpowered as compare to the other big classes like WD, DH, Barb, Crusader and now Monk. I hope that the new revamp Firebird set will be worth the wait...
