That suits me... I didn't think about that... Still, there are the mouths of Diablo (or some misterious demon)....

I guess we will have to wait for the game to come out, but until then we can speculate anything. I know that in the end Blizzard will prove that we were all wrong! :)

Still, I don't think those are heads.... Maybe they're some kind of appendages. Who knows!

i think that they are heads, since each has it's own neck

My theory is that he is evil.

The worldstone was corrupted hen Tyrael destoyed it. Maybe some kind of radiation caught him...idk

he might, but him becoming corrupted in the Worldstone seems highly unlikely

There are indeed two mouths. But what if those 'mouths' are not on his shoulders at all. Remember Diablo in D2? How he charged at you on all fours? Maybe thats what he's doing here. Maybe those mouths are on his knees, serving some kind of purpose?

    Think about it?

those are heads that have their own necks, possibly connecting to the shoulders/chest area

I believe, since the game title IS Diablo III, that Diablo will certanly make appearence. As for the demon from the trailer, it could be anyone. It could be Azmodan or Belial or one of the Prime Evils or someone totally new. I believe that it is Diablo in the trailer, but I will not say this for sure.

Concerning the meteor, I don't think that's Tyrael or any Angel. Since the destruction of the Worldstone, the barriers between the worlds have shattered, or at least Tyrael said so. This would be a perfect chance for Diablo to make his new appearence in Sanctuary. Despite the fact the meteor had fallen from the skies, it doesn't need to be an Angel at all. Perhaps Diablo manifested himself in the universe, and fallen to the same place where he was defeated for the first time.

Another proof of the meteor not being an Angel is the scene from the trailer, with two armored men. Look at the mountain side where the meteor crashed. It is totally ruined by its impact. Not to mention the red lightning from the smoke. That's very 'angelic', don't you think. This could also mean that there are more than one meteors. In the trailer you can see the armies of Hell marching, possibly away from the crash scene.

What do you think of that?

the "crash" scene or "crater" is the ruins of Mount Arreat, not a crater from a meteor

    1) It's called Diablo 3.
    2) He's in the video.
    3) He's in the video.
    4) The Soulstones were used to keep them in Sanctuary and prevent them from returning. He got pwn'd in Hell, therefore, he's fine.
    5) He's in the video.
    6) It's his mutha-fuckin' game.
    7) Did I mention he's in he video, at the dramatic climax, which concerns the game which he is the ultimatum of antagonists? Oh, right.
    8) If power like the "Dark Ritual' brought him back, then the meteorite obviously had enough to do this. Kthx.

    Enjoy your self-inflicted D3-hatred.

    i dont hate D3
you pretty much mentioned the same 3 points
but all of them arent really enough to prove it's diablo
and yes he can come back
but maybe Blizz isnt gonna show diablo in the third game just yet

Goat men are former members of the Umbaru clan. Not Horadrim.

And his name is Deckard Cain.

Was Zagraal a normal demon? or was he something else

    Where'd you get this?
and i dont think the Horadrim mages were descendants from Goatmen, since they were a single (or a few) clan and they were known as the Khazra and they still exist today (game timeline)

It's Diablo, in the video and he's the last boss..

And in some sensible way the meteorite jogged him back to life or whatever..

And it'sactually Diablo. Not Albrechet incarnation Diablo or the Dark Wanderer Diablo, no. It's the Diablo Jereid Cain pwnz0red. His original form. The big-bad mofo in all his glory. Stop thinking it's not.

    care to prove it?

"Fool! You have just ensured the doom of this world. You cannot even begin to imagine what you've set in motion this day. Go to the Temple of Light, in the eastern ciry of Kurast. There you will find the gate to Hell opened before you. You must find the courage to step through that gate Marius. Take the stone you hold to the Hellforge, where it will be destroyed. Now run! Take the stone and run!"

Have I been watching that cinematic too much or what? :D

err i remember it word for word too, and i havent watched it that much

Wonder where the soulstones actually came from, I know Tyrael gave them to the Horadrim.

Some people think they were part of the worldstone, but I'm not so sure.

I mean they were all different colors right? The worldstone was all red.

    Unless that's just a plothole.

i think it is from the worldstone, and i think the stones changed colors because of the souls they carried

Beyond any speculation on Diablo III, I believe this absolutely hits the mark. Since Blizzard clearly hints that the player's character fights angels at some point, I think it's probable that it will be revealed that Diablo is the puppeteer in this scheme, allowing him to transform his army (or at least instruct it) in a way that will allow it to quickly end the Sin War with Heaven's destruction, leading into an expansion or (more probably) a final act. If Diablo literally takes the body of a Nephalem, however, there may be one chance to beat him at his own game.

The only way to completely banish a soul is to imprison it within a Soulstone and smash it on the Hellforge, which may be some sort of pinnacle of reality or spiritual border with the Abyss. One thing commonly overlooked, however, is that Tyrael just threw his sword into the Worldstone after performing some sort of ritual. Perhaps it was just enough to remove Baal's corruption and temporarily put the Worldstone out of service, with Tyrael telling everyone that he was going to destroy it in order to keep Hell or even Heaven from knowing his plans? The hero (or Tyrael) could retrieve Tyrael's sword, find some way to reverse the ritual and reform the Worldstone, and Diablo (trapped in his Nephalem form), as well as his entire army (if they, too, were somehow imbued with Angelic properties) would be severely weakened. Ultimately, Diablo would be slain beneath Tristram (perhaps somewhere else, but I'm saying this for poetic justice) one more time, banished back to Hell along with his army, and assuming all portals to Hell are closed, the Amazon prophecy of humanity being free of the influence of angel and demon may just come true.

It will be inevitable to fight angels yes, but there is now no way of banishing a soul from the mortal plane, since The worldstone is gone, the line between the Dimensions is weakened
