I have to quote this part:

I dont care about the the conspiricy theory, what I dont get is that having the auction be a core part of the game and necessary to even get through hell, detracts from over long term playability of the game. Instead of playing the game I go to the auction and by my stuff, now look there is no point in playing the game. HMM DID THIS NOT OCCUR TO YOU.

Use of the AH isn't necessary. You can go to the Trade forum and get items direct from other players if you want. Or you can just find upgrades yourself - it's just going to take longer. It would be very poor judgment to not include all factors when balancing drop percentages. (Blue Tracker/ Official Forums)

Since level 18 I've NEVER dropped a single rare useful item for my character. Now I'm level 39 (playing Nightmare) and the only thing I have to do is buying items in the AH. I thought korean games were "broken" in the drop rate, but this game reminds me of the useless time I've spent in those kind of games (like doing over 500 times an istance to get that particular drop, this is the same since nothing I got was useful to me). For example, Diablo at the end of the Normal campaign, dropped me 4 rare items, 2 relics for my companions, and 2 that were not for my class (and with so crappy stats that were impossibile to even sell them in the AH).
I'm starting to not enjoy the game anymore: why is the game relying ONLY or MOSTLY on the AH? Where is the satisfaction of getting your own drop?

Maybe try leveling up your blacksmith and craft something useful there.

I work at the customer service call center for Mc'donalds and if I responded to any of the retards that call in there in the way that the blue posters do I would be fired on the spot you don't have the luxury of voicing your opinion when you are being paid to listen to other people bitch. I totally agree that the nerfs were needed and I love the game whatever they do with it but come on show some respect for your job and your customers.
They can afford to lose a couple idiot customers.

posted a message on Usefulness of Gems, Legendary Gear Balancing, Blue Posts, and Interview and Review for "The Order"
I like the fact that rares are once again the top items. This was the case in D2 before LOD.. only a few uniques were really good (soj, tarn helm, iceblink...) for certain purpouses but you could always replace them with an excellent rare.

Super good uniques(legendaries) are not very interesting, everyone will end up with same set of items because they are the best and they have the same stats (Arreats helm on every barb etc).

It is always a thrill to identify a rare, not very much interesting to identify a Legendary with fixed stats because you already know whats it gonna be.

It is true that Legendaries like the Bow explained above should have dex and vita on them.. Maybe even fixed stats. You would know that thats the weapon I'm gonna get at lvl X. But still a rare should be better since it would be harder to roll the right item with right stats anyways.

    1x 24" (1920x1200) and 1x 22,5" (1920x1080)

Btw 1920x1200 or 16:10 probably the best resolution ever atm.
Best for the price yes :) 2560x1600 would be better in 30" monitors but those are quite expensive

I have Dell 24" 1920x1200 IPS monitor as my main monitor and my old Samsung 22" 1680x1050 monitor as the second.

Well, at least in Skeleton King there is a small area before the boss fight starts so I suppose you could townportal away. Probably all the bosses will have some time before the encounter starts. So nothing like Duriel this time? :)

posted a message on What's the point in playing HC?
At least in the early days (first 2-3 years) of D2 the community in HC was a lot more mature and friendly (except the PK's!). The community was smaller and people knew most of the top players at least. So going back to SC where there was so many more players and you didn't know much of them wasn't an option anymore. (I did have some SC chars for PvP and fun with other friends, but mainly just HC)

In HC Hell there could be only 3-10 games and when you checked the names you knew most of the players there.

Sure it was also nicer to have high level HC character than SC character since dying did happen often for some people. If you managed to stay alive for 80+ (at least in classic d2) it was a nice feat.

Also when items got lost when people died there was less Sojs etc in the market. You also had to build your character a bit differently, more survival!

a melee wizard won't play like a barbarian. you're going to be using a lot of spells to control monsters anyways.

if you have the idea that a melee wizard is just a barbarian with a different model then no, blizzard never intends that and won't make it possible

Come on, think before you post. Of course they shouldn't do the exact same things, they should however do the same thing equally as good in different ways. Currently, the barbarian has more CC, more damage and more buffs than melee wiz. He is simply better in every single way.

EDIT: How will you with melee wiz control the mobs to a degree which compensates for 30% dmg reduction? Frost nova? A snare for a few seconds? Compare that to Ground Stomp, 4 second stun. THAT's control.
Oh no wizard is not as good melee as barb? If I want the top melee i choose monk or barb, if I want the top ranged I choose Wizard,, DH and WD i'm not so sure they are good ranged too I suppose.

Frost nova with shatter = multiple novas.

posted a message on Strength vs Vitality
With life leech on ablities and items I'm going for enough HP that I'm safe from some huge hitting bosses. You are hitting the monsters all the time so you will also heal yourself with leech. That means you don't need very huge HP pool. Of course in HC which I think i'm planning to play it is better to take it safe and pump a bit more HP.

posted a message on Inferno Monster Levels No Longer Linear, More Fansite Q&A, Bashiok on Runes, Blizzard Facebook
I like the difficulty change. In D2 pre-LOD i used to go to Flayer Jungle in Hell with WW barb and cruise through it in minutes. The place used to drop as good loot (before they changed the affixes/suffixes levels for Rares) as Act4 but there was so many monsters and they were quite weak compared to Act4 monsters so it was useful and more relaxing to farm there.

I bet there will still be a lot of challenge in all Inferno difficulty Acts and if Act1 and Act2 is not enough for you you can just farm 3 and 4.

posted a message on Diablo III PvP Update - PvP Arena System Postponed
Doesn't matter for me.. not much of a fan of closed arena PvP (open world pvp is my thing). Anyways if this brings the release date closer its all good and people can enjoy the Arena later when they patch it in.

it will take a few weeks anyways to get max level and gear up.
