May 8, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsDefend my point? I saw no reason to defend myself, I know I'm right, why should I debate something I already know?
If we were talking about how very ignorant you are, then I could see why you'd say that. But, if you see no reason to speak and defend your stance on the issue at hand, then frolic on home because there is no place for you here. This is a discussion of news and announcements; not a mindless blathering and poop throwing contest.
And Fingolfin is right. You've got nothing but unfounded speculations that give us no reason as to believe why you are right. If you don't care what people think, then don't speak at all, because no one is going to care what you think. But we know you do, because you wouldn't be so desperately trying to throw half-assed insults at me.
So instead I personally insult you, which I'm sure you've taken to heart, I'll enjoy your response to this.
I'm right about you, I'm right about WoW, I'm pretty much right about everything.
Well, I'm happy to tell you that my testicles have indeed descended. And your mom can vouch for that, since they were on her chin last night. And nobody likes you, because nobody agrees with anything you say. But I won't even waste my time outlining why you're an incompetent moron. Being the incompetent moron that you are, my words of wisdom would most likely go in one ear and out the other. -
May 8, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsIf the announcement was starcraft, their false accusations would be translated into a lie.
That's not Blizzard's fault. That's the reader's fault for having poor reading comprehension.
It really doesn't mean all that much to me, see it how you want to see it. You decided to disagree with it, strongly. I never agreed with it or disagreed with it in the first place.
And yet you don't deny any of the statements I have made that prove that you're simply contradicting yourself.
Lets get back on the subject and stop your kid games.
We were on the topic you dumbass. Notice how we're still talking about the announcement that you claimed was a lie.
Whether Blizzard lies or not is not up for question (Period)
Then don't bother questioning it. If your argument was a meal, I'd tell the waiter to send it back. Because it looks like shit.
Quote from aibo »You look like your balls haven't even dropped, you would start shaking and stuttering in any kind of argument in person.
You should of never shown that picture, you're fucking pitiful, you look emaciated and have never seen the sun.
Don't forget to kill yourself!
I take it you've given up trying to defend your point. You didn't last long at all. Nice insults, by the way. It really pertains to the subject matter.
But seriously, if you want to continue to talk here, you should stick to being realistic. -

May 7, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsI never had an argument. I'm not taking sides.
Just stating a point in your common everyday view, so can be seen at another angle. Nothing more..
you said Blizzard lied. We know that's not true. That means you took a side. You argued against Starcraft being the new possible product. That's taking a side. Not only that, but you ended your argument by directly contradicting yourself. That's not playing devil's advocate. That's being ignorant. -
May 7, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsPoint proven.
Okay, you proved that I enjoy insulting people. Doesn't matter when I'm still right. You haven't even denied it at this point. If I was a prosecutor, presenting a video of you murdering people, as part of a case to convict you for it, and I called you a cantankerous douchebag, that doesn't change the fact that you murdered people. Now, go ahead and challenge that analogy.
And my point still stands. It's a valid analogy. Plain and simple....
Then defend it. Speaking of people who don't use substantial evidence to prove their points, where's yours? We just countered your analogy. Yet you don't defend it and still claim it's valid. As far as everyone else is concerned, that means there's no reason to believe you.
Telling me you have nothing new to announce about starcraft, and announcing it at the event. would translate into a lie.
You have a terrible comprehension of tenses. Present and future are different. Nothing about Starcraft at present. But possibly something about Starcraft in the future. Enough said. Stop ignoring the blatantly obvious.
Mainly, I don't see Blizzard, lieing, or coming off as incompetent. =)
...What? You don't even support your main argument anymore? The argument that, one sentence ago, you were failingly attempting to defend? You've got nothing else to say. You've been proven wrong. Starcraft is still on the list of possible products. Blizzard wouldn't lie if Starcraft was the new product and you're done. Go to bed.
By the way, how can a person have a perspective on an issue if they don't use their personal feelings? That's rhetorical (that means don't respond). Think about it. -
May 7, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!I'll take that as your admission of defeat. Perhaps you should take the picture I sent to Aibo and look for me. Cuz I'd love to mock you personally.Posted in: News
Now, is there anyone else who wants to make a stupid comment? -
May 7, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsWell you shit out of luck buddy. =)
Yeah, I should know better than to point out how much sense you don't make. My bad.
Because you fail to look the actull topic. (product development??? Lol)
That proves that the topic is the approach of a new product. Not whether or not you can trust Blizzard. And either way, it doesn't change anything. People will buy the product, all the same.
Man, I feel bad for this guy....
I normaly wouldnt use you but...
Good job, you can read. Now how does that prove your point? The issue is that you're saying that they lied in a way that did not omit any relevant details, which contradicts the definition of a "lie". Nor did their press release contradict any details. If Starcraft is the new product, its announcement is still in the future, which means they didn't contradict themselves, which makes you all-the-more wrong.
And you're right. You wouldn't normally use me. Because, that would imply that you have some advantage over me. But since you don't, you have nothing to feel sorry about, except for how stupid you made yourself look.
I won't read something this foolish, but did you see the "For Example" part of my post. that may help you..
You're ignorant as hell. He did that in order to prove that your analogy doesn't work. But if you're going to say that your example isn't important, then don't bring it up. It just gives you one more thing to be wrong about. -
May 7, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsYou rarely tell friends and/or family that you plan to come visit them in the future, but cannot at present.... And already have a trip planned next month. (This is the concept all you Starcraft people say exists which is just senceless.)
That makes perfect sense if one rephrases it. The way you say it, it makes it sound like some sort of intangible out-of-body experience.
Aside from that.... Blizzard's Credability waves byebye if it is Starcraft 2...
How so? I fail to see why what product they chose to develop has any bearing on whether we can 'trust' them or not.
It would not be a trick, It would be a flat out deliberate misinterpertation, AKA LIE...
Wow. I must say that you seem to have 'lied' yourself, as you have failed to interpret the definition of lie accurately.
Quote from dictionary.com entry "lie" »–noun
1. a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.
2. something intended or serving to convey a false impression; imposture: His flashy car was a lie that deceived no one.
3. an inaccurate or false statement.
4. the charge or accusation of lying: He flung the lie back at his accusers.
–verb (used without object)
5. to speak falsely or utter untruth knowingly, as with intent to deceive.
6. to express what is false; convey a false impression.
–verb (used with object)
7. to bring about or affect by lying (often used reflexively): to lie oneself out of a difficulty; accustomed to lying his way out of difficulties.
Not of them have to do with misinterpretations. There are basically two types of lies. One is when you say something that is not true, or you omit the truth. They have done neither. Blizzard has not lied about anything. They have simply stated it in a fashion that dissuades people from making assumptions about what it is going to be. But I guess Aibo missed that memo.
Which wouldn't be uncommon if it happened on a daily basis, But as a single announcement such as this, it means alot.
So, you're saying that lying for your whole life is better than temporarily lying? What kind of ignorant cacophony is that?
The announcement means that Blizzard is going to announce a new product. They didn't want to say anything about Starcraft, but may say something about it later. They are going to announce a new product in 30 days. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that Starcraft is the new product, it certainly does not exempt it from being on the list of possibilities. -
May 7, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsMuttonchops, you should never say something on a forum that you wouldn't be willing to say to their face, there are people out there that will find you and hurt you. Give me your address. Not only will I mock you, but I'll punch your teeth in for being such a fucktard.
But anyways, if you really want to fight me over a discussion like this, then you don't have much confidence, do you? Don't have much to be proud of, so you want to threaten me with violence? Well, I'll just wait for you to give me your location and I'll make my position clear. And that position involves my foot in your mouth.
But seriously, I know and you know that you're only making empty threats. So put that thought to rest, as it does not pertain at all to how wrong you are.
muttonchops and all of you will apologize for your fucking idiocy in time.
If that's the case, then I must inform you that I have no 'fucking idiocy' to apologize for.
Agreeing with him and backing him up because he is protecting your hopes, it IS another WoW expansion and a port and there's no way around it.
Please give me your address so I can mock you in person, or at least send you a letter with a picture enclosed of me flipping you the bird. Oh wait, I don't need to wait (because you're so wrong), nor do I need to mail it to you. Here it is!
Now, you know what I look like. Happy hunting!
Nothing can be "too soon"
Oh yeah? That statement is equivalent to a shoot first, ask questions later, attitude. Seeing as you have no understanding appropriate timing, please take note of what I say, as it is the general consensus that I know more about this subject matter than you do.
Blizzard could announce WoW 2 on the 19th and have it released 2011.
Yeah, and lose all the potential money that has yet to be milked out of the first one. They'd lose money if they did all that shit in such a short amount of time. People would immediately drop WoW for WoW2; people who would potentially keep playing until WoW2 would come out much later. If you have no understanding of economics or common sense, then shut the fuck up. Because you have no valid points to make.
Announcement doesn't = such and such game releases next week, especially in the gaming industry, it simply means it's a project they intend to finalize and release and let the public know about it and fester.
Oh man, for someone who doesn't have the slightest idea about simple supply and demand, how should we expect you to know anything about "the gaming industry". Get some credentials and then you may have the honor of speaking to me in a civilized manner.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch Bleach and be better than you. -
May 4, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsWe all know deep down this next announcement will not being anything for D3 or SC2, it will be for WoW.
It's going to be WoW related
Too soon to release another expansion. They'd lose profit if they did it this soon. There is a reason you space these things out. There would be way too little buzz if they announced an expansion so soon after the first expansion was released. As Fingolfin said, most people haven't even finished the game. But if you want to bet on it, I'd love to take you on.
Besides, releasing way too much too soon would more likely kill the game, than improve it. Like the old saying goes, "Too much of anything is a bad thing", and World of Warcraft is no exception.
I hope you don't invest in the stock market, because you'd lose everything with the line of thinking that you have.
How the hell do you concoct that from what they said? Thirty days time is nothing in the gaming industry, they would say they don't plan to announce anything to do with SC2 but would magically announce it a month later?
By that logic, you're denying that 30 days is not in the future. In which case, you're either not existing in the same dimension as us or you're just fucking stupid.
Companies rarely say they aren't creating a product then just say SUPRISE! it's not professional, it's not smart.
Man, where did you get your degree in business ethics? Oh wait, you don't have one of those do you.
They made it obvious it's not SC2 and going against my initial post, they are announcing a new product in Seoul, a Warcraft/SC dominated country, it does make Diablo 3 unlikely.
No, they didn't make it obvious. You just assumed that on the basis that 30 days after their announcement is not in the future. You suck ass at reading comprehension.
It's mother fucking Warcraft, people are asking for a new expansion of WoW. WoW is just growing and growing, there's no reason to stop giving the customers what they want. It is going to be WoW related and that's fucking final! WoW's ride is hardly over.
You're right about one thing. Blizzard is going to milk it for all its worth. But flooding the market with WoW products is not the way to do it. They lose the possible profit they'd get from monthly fees. By prolonging the release of expansions would maintain customer loyalty and allow Blizzard to rake in the big bucks.
But don't get cocky. You made a step up the right path, then decided to go off-roading. -
Apr 29, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsI think that they dumped it because it was a really stupid idea to change Starcraft to a third person shooter
Actually, Ghost looked good. I wanted to play that game really badly too...Plus, it would give Blizzard a chance to enter new genres. And if they can do it as well as they've been doing, well then, more power to them.
On the flipside Diablo will take alot of the WoW customers.
Doubt it, highly. One, it would have to be a spectacular game, which has yet to be seen. In fact, the existence of the game has yet to be seen. And even then, there would have to be some compelling reason for gamers to have to make a decision, in order for WoW to lose consumers.
I would like to see a new starcraft 2, though. 10 years...and no sequel! -
Apr 29, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Posted in: NewsReason being they completely dumped Ghost...Why would they jump to another Starcraft game right off the bat???
Because they have neglected Starcraft the most, by far, and it still has a loyal fanbase. -
Apr 29, 2007muttonchops posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!Nah, something like that Blizzard wouldn't bother holding off to announce. They haven't done anything like that before, for WoW, and I doubt they will.Posted in: News

Realism never left Diablo. Look at the walkthrough. Wait for the zoom on the barbarian, you'll see he's very photorealistic. He's not cartoony or anything. You're arguing for monotony. By saying that Diablo is much darker than this upcoming sequel, and that that is realistic, you are saying the world is dark and monotonous. Good job.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do shoulder pads have to do with ANYTHING?! Barbarians are big guys. It's totally reasonable for big guys to have big shoulder pads. End of story.

Of course there was a change in graphics, they went form 2D to 3D, you dumb shit. The artistic style is similar though. I can't agree with you in the slightest about the game mechanics. What's changed? We have orbs now? I don't understand how that's bad. And how exactly is the inventory bad?
I guess that would make you the prosecutor in this analogy because you're attack Blizzard for simply using color. They aren't angels, but they are video game moguls. Every single game from their three franchises has gone gold. Scratch that, platinum.

Which one is better is a matter of preference. But if you want to argue the overall quality of games, Gamefunk has proven that the PS3 focuses on quality titles. What you're asking me to do is irrelevant in light of the research I just showed you. But I'll humor you. By the way, you can't exclude titles from my mentioning. That's like asking me why Communism is bad, without mentioning Stalin or Ho Chi Minh.
But fine, Versus XIII, Killzone 2, Resistance, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, God of War III, Rachet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Rachet & Clank: Quest for Booty. That's what I found in one minute. Probably only a few that I missed, but you see my point.

By the way, are you saying that the profits you reel in a day are $2000 or are you saying that you, personally, make $2000 a day?
Correction, if he had actually gone to any form of school in which classes might assign research papers. I'd say around a middle school education is what he/she might be lacking.
Doesn't matter. He's still wrong.

Here's the original article. http://gamefunk.net/?p=57
It's fair and balanced. It accounts for ALL games released on all three consoles, not just good ones. And the fact that I found it on PS3 Fanboy is moot because they themselves did not do the survey.
0
You couldn't be more wrong.
http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/05/01/ps3-software-has-leading-percentage-of-good-games/
The PS3 is a very legitimate console. Although I own a 360 for monetary reasons and for the fact that I'm waiting for Killzone 2 and FF Versus XIII.
I like to buy games. Renting doesn't give me the same feeling. Not to mention that with something like GameFly, I'd have to wait a few days just to play a different game when I might feel like playing a certain game at a certain point in time.

I don't see how graphics break the game. Especially this game. Blizzard made a good case to justify their decision. Monotony is boring. And those photoshopped images are a testament to that. Besides, I don't see a reason not to trust Blizzard. All the games of their three franchises are best-sellers and have earned numerous awards and praise from the masses. Not only that, but I have personally played each one and I have been thoroughly satisfied with each. You're just knit-picking where no knits need to be picked.
No, this is cell shading.
Watch a D3 video. No bold outlines on the models. They don't resemble cartoon characters in the slightest. In fact, watch the developer walkthrough and when he zooms in on the barbarian, it's extremely photorealistic. You could not be more wrong.

You dismiss the importance of hypertrophy. Also, you can do 8-12 reps without gaining unnecessary mass. It's called running. Also, your articles don't say that the nervous system is the only basis for strength. And it would be stupid to say it is. That's basically like saying you don't need muscle, as long as you can feel. All those olympic weight lifters focus on being able to lift a massive amount of weight in one go. The hypertrophic range offers strength and endurance.
The nervous system and muscular system are important in relation to each other. Therefore, I cannot give you the grounds to say that mass does not add strength. It's a matter of physics. For instance, one player on my football team. He was 6'8", 300 lbs. Big fat guy. But he could squat 600 lbs and bench 400 lbs. Needless to say, he was a lineman. And he did the same workout that I did. Also, he was about 100 lbs lighter with about half the weight lifting capability. Explain to me how hypertrophy does not contribute to strength.
The article you quote basically does the same thing with hypertrophy that most nutrition magazines did with calories, which is to say that they're bad. If you read the links, including that muscleventures.com website, they acknowledge the importance of hypertrophy.
You're painting with very broad strokes as far as I can tell and it's very difficult to address everything when there is so much involved with it. I just had to hand in a research paper today, so my brain is pretty much fried, but I'll address a little later.

What kind of logic is that? When I think penis, I don't think satan. Friggin' ridiculous!

Whoop-dee-fuckin-doo, so can I. My squat max is 535, my deadlift max is 505, benchpress 315, and my cleans max is a mere 285. Trust me, I'm a lineman. We live off lower-body workouts. And I am telling you, I train with division 1 atheletes. And we have even been told by an NFL Giants player who came from our school, David Tyree. 1-5 reps does nothing but affirm that you can lift that much weight. There isn't any progress, it just maintains what you already have. Anything over 12 reps is excessive and if you can do it, you need to move up in weight. 8-12 reps has been determined as the hypertrophic range.
I can believe that some guy can be good at deadlift without doing deadlift. I hate deadlifts with a passion. It works many of the muscle groups that squats do. You're just moving the weight from your shoulders to your hands. As long as I do enough squats, I am still good at deadlifts. I like to keep it at squats and toe-squats. Toe-squats are ridiculously intense and your calves get a lot of definition from it.
