Most people considered the necromancer to be a pure summoner, and while he was my favorite D2 class, I seldom actually played him as a zookeeper. Poisonmancers and bonemancers were way more fun to play, and were just as viable. I expect the WD will be able to completely maim and eradicate at all difficulty levels without dogs or the gargantuan.

in D2 summon necros were useless if they werent in solo play because the skeletons did such horrible damage. only revive was good but to actually kill anything with your skellys in hell took ages. bone necros actually could kill stuff.

in D3 the WD pets are a lot more viable than D2 summons since they are based off of your wpn dmg and you can rune them to do more. i think the WD is like the druid / necro hybrid only even better. in D2 if you tried to do summons AND poinson or bone you would gimp one tree or another too much and be overall not effective in later difficulties so you had to basically specialize in one or the other, in D3 the WD can easily do both at the same time without sacrificing either making him a lot more powerful class
Right but wrong. My summon necro could be pretty handy to a group. 20 skele 20 improved minions 20corpse explosion, lots in clay golem and golem mastery and viola you can solo hell difficulty practicaly naked and have lots of support abilities for group play. Your clay golem can slow bosses and corpse explosion is amazing. Plus a couple points in a curse here and there and your a pretty handy support for group play. Even if your skeles are only good for soaking up damage.

The builds for PvE. Your right about the Battle rage rune.

Once i make it to the harder difficulties ill change out furious charge for something more appropriate CC wise if needed.
I really just took the charge for flavor. Same with unforgiving, got it for flavor. Like i said Weapons master or Tough as nails would probably be more appropriate. Im thinking Running Weapons master until extra armor is needed then switching it. Maybe brawler would help make up for my lack of aoe though... i dont know hah.

I would think that the 2 situationals would be enough aoe.Maybe they wont kill everything but they should at least do enough damage that i can clean up with frenzy, I hope. We will have to see how it all plays out in game but this is the generel idea of my barb build.

    Thanks for the input guys.

    FURY GENERATORS
    Frenzy -----------Crimson
    yada yada rune increases dmg
    Warcry -----------Obsidian.
Increase in armor and magic resistance.
    Furious Charge --Crimson
Because i want to get in combat now! rawr! Runed for 445% damage.

    FURY SPENDOR
    Battle rage------- Crimson
Increase in damage and critical hit chance.

    SITUATIONAL
    Overpower ------Crimson
290% damage to all targets in 9 yards if it crits the cd is reset.
    Revenge --------- Alabaster
220% damage to all nearby enemies and heals for 5% of hp for each ugly i hit. With rune it increases critical strike chance to 21% for 10 seconds!

    Passive skills:
Ruthless I chose this because my build relies on critical hits.

Berserker rage 20% increased dmg when fury is at 100% This is what i am baseing this build around. This and criticals.

Unforgiving Is my personal preference because i dont want fury to degenerate. And i want to start all fights with 100% fury. Also if i build my crit up i can spam overpower and keep up berserker rage at the same time. Not necessary though, brawler, tough as nails, or weapon master would also work. Weapons master is the best choice if you want to use maces or axes.

    Quote from Valenir

Well with this amount of Discipline skills you use i would recommend you to use Perfectionist passive.

One of the discipline skills is a permanent companion, the other is one i only plan on using on elite mobs or when i need extra hate regeneration, and vault ill only be using in certain circumstances. The only discapline skill i see myself using a lot would be sentry. Although Ill have to see how the game plays and how fast discapline recovers.

Also this is an anti boss build, i did plan on using it on normal mobs as well but if discipline does screw me over i can always make a different build for the regular mobs. Maybe if i switch out archery for night stalker... i wonder if vault is essential.. The build coould definatly use some work, but ill need to play the game to figure it out and make it perfect for what i wanna do.

I really love that you can swap skills at any time, also the skills/runes look like so much fun. So excited... cant contain...

Entangling shot --- Indigo Slow 6 enemies at once instead of 3.
    Rapid fire ------- Obsidian rockets
    Sentry --------- Obsidian rockets
Marked for Death --- Golden Sustainability
    Companion----------- Golden Sustainability
Vault------------------- Golden Looks like a skill im gunna want to use a lot. Taking golden for the fun factor.

Archery Decent passive bonus so why not.
vengeance Sustainability i guess. extra hatred is iresistable for me.
    ballistics because rockets are fun.

This is my rockets / sustained rapidfire anti boss build. Its mostly just for funsies but i think it should do well. Until a situation comes up where i need pierce or some other way of attacking important monsters behind their minions. But ill be rolling with my friends and they can deal with it.

My only gripe is that i know the AH system will have a big user group (regions instead of servers) so playing it like a fiddle will be harder than in WoW. Other than that i like the idea of an AH in d3 =)

posted a message on Class you wish was in D3
I was hoping monks would be playable in diablo 3 so yay for that. As for characters i wish were in the game i would say necromancer. The witch doctor is a cheesy version of the necromancer in my eyes (zombie wall? really?). The necromancer was my favorite character in diablo 2 because of his crazy class mechanics, he was the only class really playable from norm to hell while naked hah.

The WD will probably be my favorite character in d3 because he is so similar to the boneman. but hes so cheesy augh

posted a message on Hardcore and PvP
How would you like to see hardcore and pvp merged?

I think the only sensible solution would be to let hardcore players choose to queue into either softcore or hardcore arena. Also player organized events is a must.

I don't think i would be able to stand going into an arena with a character i put half a year into only to get it killed by some random guy who's build/gear happens to counter mine and lose everything as consequence.

    Thoughts?
