posted a message on What entirely new character class would you like to see in D3?
Instead of having a Paladin, there should be a straight-up Angel class which would have powers similar to the Seraphim class in Sacred -- combo of melee and holy or light-based offensive magic.

posted a message on How hard will Blizzard fight ebay item sellers?
I don't approve of players selling items to other players for real money, but I really don't see how Blizzard can stop it, unless they are doing something blatant like sitting in battle.net chat and advertising their items for sale.

posted a message on "Pets" in DIII?
I like the FATE idea of a pet that can carry crap back to town for you to sell it off for cash. However, I don't think the pet should walk around with you all the time. It should just be a mechanism for selling off crap without having to go back to town. It should show up when you whistle for it, and then you load it with crap to carry back to town, send it off, and then the money shows up in your purse automatically.

posted a message on Bad Idea: Auction house
Yep, I agree -- an auction house of any kind is a terrible idea for a Diablo game. You can find all the items you need simply through playing the game and maybe once and a while trading directly with another player. Personally, I don't even like trading for items for my characters, since I find it more fun to find stuff on my own through random drops.

I would like to know about the item identification and portaling systems in Diablo 3. In Diablo 2 you had to buys scrolls and carry around a Tome of Identify (if you wanted to identify items while outside town) and a Tome of Town Portal, which both took up valuable inventory space for basic game functions. I kind of liked the way Titan Quest implemented these things by eliminating the need to identify items and giving every character the ability to open a portal without having to take up inventory space for scrolls.

I just can't believe there is no other more relevant crime they can charge her with. I'm thinking of things like:
    • child abuse
    • emotional abuse of a child
    • harassment
    • contributing to the delinquency of a minor
    • child endangerment

With modified one i think we should keep the tetris inventory items and maybe adding a weight factor to the game

No no no no no no no.

Inventory weight systems suck, and having a weight system would be especially redundant if the tetris inventory system is also used. Keep the inventory as simple as possible. I like it the way it appeared in the D3 gameplay video.

posted a message on Reasons why PK should stay in D3. A detailed analysis (long)
The solution is easy: Blizzard should just have two separate realms on D3 Battle.net: Hardcore PvP and Normal. In Normal, consensual PvP would still be possible if both players flag themselves for PvP. In Hardcore PvP, everyone is fair game at all times, and when your character dies it doesn't come back.

Dude, you should make this post again, except use a title that makes it clear that you want people to sign a petition supporting the Diablo 3 art style. I signed it, but your post doesn't make it clear that people should go to Petition Online to sign this petition.

    ^This statement = My Win^

I can understand your frustration, if you really are a kid who behaves in a mature manner. It sucks to be stereotyped due to the misbehavior of many other kids.

However, life is not fair. There are fitness centers which allow only female members, simply because enough women like not being hit on and stared at while they are working out. Not all men hit on and stare at women at the gym, but enough do that a female only workout environment is an attractive option for many women. If you are a guy who doesn't stare, drool or hit on women at the gym, you are effectively stereotyped by the behavior of a certain number of other men who do.

Don't you hate it when an adult comes in, and just because they see some flaw in your gaming style they go "ZOMG LOOK FUCKING KID GET OFF MY GAME/INTERNET, FUCKING NOOB FUCKER GET OFF!"?

    ...

If you think I'm 100% serious in this thread, it's just a spoof on the floodings of threads on banning children from D3 i have been seeing.

I just threw in a moderately thought out argument that is more likely then not, full of holes that will probably get me flamed.

Anybody who talks like your above example in an online game has pinpointed their age somewhere between 12 and 21 years. In the very rare cases where someone over 21 actually talks like that, you can be assured that that person's MENTAL age is still stunted somewhere between 12 and 21.

posted a message on Φ Diablo III Art Design Direction Survey
I seriously think some people are over-reacting to the new art style. Take those Diablo 3 gameplay videos and run them in your mind again with the moody and creepy Diablo I dungeon music. I think the art style is fine, and the more critical thing for the whole feel of the game is to get the right ambient music and sound effects. The music and sound effects really need to evoke a feeliing of dread, like the further down you go in the dungeon, the closer you are approaching your worst nightmare.

From the Diablo 3 gameplay video, I think the art design looks great and they should stick with the style they have now. The dungeons looked properly creepy and contrasted well with the outdoor sections.

I can't believe anyone would want Blizzard to change their entire art style now. For them to do so would probably add months and months of additional development time before they could release the game.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Items and Inventory
One of the things I hate about WoW is all the micromanagement of consumables that is needed. In Diablo 3, healing and mana potions are fine, but I hope they do not introduce needless complexity in the form or food and drink, or the need to hoard a profusion of different kinds of consumables on the off chance that one of them will be needed to get past a certain boss that has special immunities, etc. Things in Diablo 2 are already too cluttered with all the different gems, runes and charms that fill up your inventory in case they might be of use at some point, as well as the need to carry around scrols of identify and town portal.

I suggest following the example of Titan Quest and getting rid of the need to identify stuff, and giving every character the ability to cast town portal from the very beginning.
