posted a message on TOP-1 world Barb

i dont htink you guys are giving this guy enough credit lol. that was a VERY impressive clear. dont blame the pylon rng because he forced those pylons himeself. yes he got the best mobs in game (goats/unburried) but he got them in the freakin ice caves!! he made his grouping and cc look easy when i can promise you it is not... that map is full of those little wholes on the ground and it looks like he only found 2 or 3 spots with GG density. (not to mention the ~45 seconds wasted skipping the bad keep map in lvl 1) the guy played this perfectly. and dont blame item rng either cuz he cleared that with a heartslaughter. i think the ONLY rng that can discredit this run at all (if any) was the fact the boss was stonesinger. but to be honest even if it was rakanoth or some trash he still would have left it at <25% life with teh power conduit that he personally forced leaving over 5 min to deal a couple billions on his own. this has me thinking barb can potentially clear 56-57 with silver spire and goats. great clear man well played, congrats.

posted a message on How long you guys think Season 3 will be?

i thnk 3 months would be perfect. season 1 was 5 months and that was too long. season 2 was 1 and a half months and that is too short. a perfect balance of 3 months would make me very happy.

with that said, it doesnt really matter how long the season is if we are properly notified. for example, i would be okay if the season only lasted 1 month as long as i knew BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED that it would only be one month. proper notification is more important to me than length. but again, if i had to choose, i would enjoy 3 months.

posted a message on Ancient weapons idea/suggestion

I think the easiest solution for blizzard AND for casuals is to just remove the 30% increase to dmg range. It would be a 5 minute fix and the game would feel much more balanced. The problem is, since the community has already gotten a taste of ancient weapons, changing it now would be taken as a nerf. And blizz is kind of walking on thin ice with it's community when it comes to nerfs. There will be QQ. But I do agree that SOMETHING needs to be done.

posted a message on Loaded for bear vs Cluster Bombs

Cluster bombs is way stronger than people realize. It really shines when u are doing high enough grifts that you have enough time to set up all your sentries and stand in a corner blasting. Cluster bomb offers more sustainable dps than lfb as lfb has a very small impact range. Cluster bombs can spray dps over 10+, 50+, 100+ mobs with no problem if they are grouped well.  Lfb starts to lose dps once u hit around 15-20 mobs because they ussually can't be grouped tight enough for the range of lfb to hit everything. Also the first time people use cluster bombs they ussually don't like it right away cuz it requires some getting used to. You have to stand (and place ur sentrys) close enough to the mob so the cluster bomb goes over the mobs head at it's highest point. When doing this, you can hit the same mob with every grenade equalling out to a bit more dmg than loaded for bear. It really shines vs high hp large density tho. (And obviously only in group)

Getting a perfect non ancient kridershot would feel a lot better if I know that there was SOMETHING that I could do to upgrade this into something usable. Because as of now a perfect non ancient kridershot is just a forgotten soul.  Arcane barb too easy.

Maybe I should rephrase since ppl think this thread is just me complaining about not getting items. Lol.   I'm TOTALLY okay with rng. I enjoy it actually. I just want blizzard to regulate the season better.  Make things consistent. Not the items or the mobs, I mean the actual progress of the season. Does that make sense? The rules and guidelines, schedules, grift rankings posted that are unobtainable after hotfixes, surprise patches or endings.  These kinds of things.  Rng is fun when it's the game that is random, but it can be a bit frustrating when the rules are random as well.

There were people with full class sets and ancient weapons clearing GR 50+ after like 48 hours of the new season.

If you are not there yet, you do not invest enugh time to be competitive. Still blaming the "ancient weapon RNG" after weeks of the new season makes one wonder what exactly you are expecting. The really commitet people at the top disenchant ancient weapons every day because they play so much. They swim in that stuff. Unless you are ready to invest that much time, you wont be anywhere near the top, ever, and should stop being delusional about it.

Did u read my posts? Lol. I AM swimming in ancient legendaries. I DO invest 12+ hours a day and I AM near the top. What's holding me back is the surprise ending to season 2..  I haven't farmed my trial keys yet because I thought I would have more time. And I don't think you pay attention to leaderboards very much cause s2 is about to end and a 50 clear would still be a top 20 dh rank...

I just dont get why the ignore the veteran's opinions on what to improve, and just do stuff on their own which result in fail only over the last year. And thats what i reproach to them

I agree 100%. I don't play seasons for new legendaries. I don't play seasons for a fresh start. I'm not playing seasons looking for new gameplay mechanics.  I play seasons for the competition. I can't really compete on non seasons because I don't have access to 1300+ paragons or a wd with zdog.  I'm totally okay with that tho. I'm happy that all the really powerful and legecay stuff gets to stay on nonseasons because I know I can find what I'm looking for from seasons. I wouldn't mind if they released seasonal legs on non season or not.  I wouldn't even mind if they released patch 2.2 mid season but left the new sets out of seasons until it ended.  (Easier said than done) I want them to try to add some competitive spirit to seasons. Tend to the casuals on non seasons and let the people who play 24/7 get there fun out of seasons.

posted a message on Buriza ?

Buriza DOES work with impale. Infact, impale is the only viable skill I would recommend using to take advantage of the pierce effect. Impale is a very situational build, I wouldn't use it in solo. But it does work very well in combination with cold EP monks (even up at grift 50+). Other than impale, the peirce effect does not have good synergy with any other viable Dh builds ATM.

    Cheers :)

posted a message on Please Blizzard, take seasons seriously.

In season 1 I played all 6 classes and did not pay much attention to top leaderboard positions. My highest rank was in 4man group I ranked around the 550 mark with out really trying to hard. At the end of the season I decided that for season 2 I would focus on earning as high a rank as I could in solo. After 5 months of s1 (and the end of season patch drama) I decided to come up with a plan.

My plan for season two was to spend AS MUCH time as possible farming my GG gear for one class and paragons before wasting anytime doing trials and high grifts. I expected to spend atleast 50% of the season focused mainly on gearing before pushing. After seeing 5 months of s1 I was not even expecting that 50% mark to come until around mid April (which turns out will alrdy be season 3 by then). I am very happy with my seasonal progress so far. I'm paragon 700+ with ancient items (multiple viable ancient weapons included) across the board, as GG stats as I could roll. And I completed a grift 48 with very little phishing ranking me at 74 solo dh. I was expecting to be able to push for grift 50-51 by the end of the season (earning hopefully a top 15-25 rank). But a wrench was thrown into my plans. The 2 week notice has come and gone and I only have 3 50 keys saved for solo.  THIS is my problem.  Had I known s2 would only be 1 1/2 months I would have planned accordingly (and still had fun doing it). With the suprise ending tho I feel my grinding has been for nothing and I doubt I will make top 50 :(

posted a message on Please Blizzard, take seasons seriously.

Hopefully this doesn't sound like baby rage. QQ

last season they broke leader-boards with a patch 2 weeks prior to season close. this season they broke leader-boards by letting 2 groups use sever and removing it right after for the rest of the community to try. last season they dragged s1 in the mud for about 5 months and this season they don't even give us 1 and 1/2 months. with ancient weapons being so crucial and the amount of rng they cram down our throats you would think they would at least give us the time to grind out our gear before attempting to push leader-boards. idk, i never expect to be rank 1 in anything but i enjoy pushing for top 50. and when i see how poorly blizzard handles the seasonal leader-boards it makes me rethink why i am even bothering... its almost like the leader-board means nothing to them, they just want to roll a dice and see who comes out on top, and they will say "that was cool". but a lot of people out there take the competition of seasons very seriously and spend a lot of time pushing to be the best (and even more people enjoy watching them and encouraging them to keep trying via twitch/youtube)

randomness is fun and all but i think there has to be some sort of consistency here if there is to be any competitive spirit.

season length needs to be consistent please. 3 months would be a perfect time but please give your suggestions on season length. the biggest problem here is last month we had 5 months to gear and a months notice b4 end, this season we had no idea how long it would end and only 2 weeks notice. no one was ready and now everyone will be scrambling to post their clears. give us notice at the beginning of the season please

IF you ARE going to make seasons short from now on than you at least need to remove the rng and importance of ancient weapons somehow. this can be done in multiple ways. don't let the damage range on weapons be affected by ancient roll. allow a way (that involved grinding with NO rng involved) to upgrade a non ancient weapon into an ancient weapon. you could even allow ALL stats on ALL gear to roll 30% higher, so at least someone with an ancient ammy can compete with someone who has an ancient weapon. (i think option one is best) (also i got my ancient weapons, I'm not crying cuz i didn't get them I'm crying because it doesn't make sense)

stop changing things in the middle of a season! if you mess up and allow something broken to slip into a season than you should bite the bullet and let it play out! let everyone use it and attempt to post ranks, or let no one use it and removes ranks posted with it.... there should be no in between, wtf? isn't that common sense?

just to clarify, i LOVE diablo, i have been playing d3 since vanilla launch and never put it down for more than 1month at a time. I also played d2 for over 10 years before that! I'm going to play season 3 no matter how bad it is. i don't want to just post blind rage on forums, i want the game to be better. and it has the potential, my thought is - if enough people like me post this stuff to show blizzard the potential than maybe one day they will live up to it.

i would like to hear everyone's thoughts on this that's why i'm posting my QQ.
