    hehe...good point

aha i have a new idea, how bout what u sell to vendors can be bought *maybe by gambling, maybe not* by other users? then it will count if the game matters or if it is realm wide...ok nvm

not many people gamble in non-hc anyways do they?

yea i think rares and crafted items should be more commonly used, it offers more technicality to the pvp system, and it emphasizes builds and stats...

but that mean that the higher lvl char would almost win every duel against the common man, where in d2 it was the richest that won.

this is a hard topic :\

i dunno, i just thought unique would be directly from killing stuff makes more sense, not by buying from gheed. i mean what if u got a set item like cow kings hat, would that mean gheed killed a cow king? and wouldnt gheed go id the uniques because they should obviously look different from regs.

Well to answer you part on selling it or droping it. Once you sell it it goes back to the pile, same with dropping it, once you leave the game it goes back.

The problem would be holding the items and driving up the cost but I think its better because then you will have less character clones, less sites that require you to pay to get the item.

Plus it makes the other 85% items dont use worth a crap.

I was justing it as an example :P

Not really each realm would have a fixed amount meaning lets say There are 5,000 Shakos and only 100 people find them in a day. The closer that number gets to 0 is harder to find. Plus Blizzard would implement a a feature that keeps track of items so the public can view rare and whats not.

I just hated seeing the 85% items not be used :(

i agree with the 90%+ items such as the legendary azurewrath and shadowfang swords, or whatever they were named in d1 handbook, become completely obsolete, but there has to a better way than to limit it to only 10000 per realm or game. maybe crafted items can have a bigger effect or the drop % is lowered, but it seems like if i play and all the shakos or jah runes are gone, then im getting jipped of something. of course they can make it relative to population, 1 shako per 100 chars or something.

    gheed is a total jerk...

anyways...in hardcore the gambling is extremely useful, for ammys and rings...and i think it should be magic and rares only, uniques and runes dont really make sense.

but sorcs when added to warmth didnt need to use pots at all, i mean they could tele from rogue to kurast if they wanted to. the system works in d2 and in d3 i dont expect any major changes. maybe wd and other spellcasters will have a mana regen skill

    no, bad idea.
(lol when did ravenfrost become rare lol) :D
theres going to be so much imbalance and monopolizing of items if that were to happen.
and that would creat a bartering system again imo, like 20 shaels for your ravenfrost

id like to see a blend of bartering and use of gp in economy.

maybe at a high cost u can respec, but otherwise it does add more technicalities to the pvp scenario, which sounds heavenly, but the overuse and constant changing would get annoying.

posted a message on Something I found very interesting in regards to religion in diablo.
    Quote from "Magistrate" »
The cross has been for ages a symbol of sacrifice and, later, holiness, even outside Christianity/Catholicism. It is also viewable on some of the Paladin's shield, I think.

    Edit--

Now that I think of it, they probably just did it to show how truly vile the evil is and how far the corruption can go, which I think is very evident by the desecration of the altar in the center of the Monastary area (the area that you access Catacombs Level One from, I think.)

That's just what I think, though- not saying it's absolutely right.

agreed, crosses have symbolic meaning outside of the church as well, but based on the made-up religion of that particular area of sanc, its just one symbol associated with religion, if u goto kurast u see mayan or incan or aztec pyrimids and such...not to mention in lut gholein theres mummies and mildly egyptian tombs.

    Quote from "InvincibleEMP" »
anyone who is completely satisfied by the gameplay demo they showed at WWI is probably not a hardcore fan of the past diablo franchise. And since it is still if fairly early development, now is the BEST time to complain about what we don't like about the demo. That way the final version can be absolutely the best diablo game it can be.

agreed, would u like for this to be a bust of a game like hellgate london or some crap, if not i suggest u let devs know what u want and what u think, they need some help too, dont at or think that they dont.

    and whats this about haters?
lol no one is hating on it because 99% of the people in this forum will get the game, they just want a flawless game made to their liking based on past installments of the series.

    cool down.
