and these are just the things they covered. don't forget that there are also set changes and balance that we'll see in the upcoming ptr patch notes.

and besides, i know that Wyatt Cheng said =that the legendary gem isn't meant for GR pushing but i'm going to equip it anyway just because it looks so damn good.

i see what you're getting at with the Micro-Transactions. As far as a new expansion and bumping up the level cap, while part of me want it to feel progress, i'm worried that it would have the same effect on players in the game as MoP and WoD had on players - a new zone, a new class but progression was minimal and not really impactful and you ended up doing the same thing. I know it's kind of contradictory to the fact that you get a Character pack with no new changes but it's a matter of opinion. Eventually, i'd like a new story to play through, a fresh experience with the end game (which we sort of gonna get with Challenger rifts) and I hope that we'll get to have that but for now, with what they announced, i'm content to a certain extent.

posted a message on My thoughts about Blizzcon 2016

I'll just get to the point: I didn't find anything bad about it.

I know that many people were looking for an expansion or even a new game entirely but considering what we are going to get, it's not that bad.

Let me explain from my point of view:

people are complaining about lack of content - well, it's a grinding game. most grinding games reach a peak at some point and story wise, yes, you have enough lore to make two more expansion if they so choose to but for now, the story is finished, so not having new story to uncover is not that much a thorn in the side as people make it out to be. Also, being a grinding game, it all boils down to "Kill->Loot->lvlup->Repeat" so,eventually, you'll end up doing exactly that and whatever new content they'll put out, you'll end up doing this exactly this so, the "Lack" of new "Content" is not such an issue with me as it is with other people in the community. besides, comparing D3 to other games like Hearthstone that gets a new expansion every half a year or so, or to HotS where it's still the same content (essentially) but done in a different way (new heroes, different maps, etc.) is kind of moot.

Micro-transactions - I don't think that it would be that much of a thing in other regions other than the Chinese region and the sole reason for that is that while in other games such as CS and other FPS games, there's isn't really much value in Micro-transactions in D3. i don't see people paying 10 Euros for cosmetic wings and such.

I think that with all the patch content we've gotten so far - the Kanai's Cube, more sets, a new region - it would have been easy for Blizzard to say "Well, we can push it all in an expansion and let them deal with what's there is for about a year or two" but they didn't. considering all the content we've been given over the past two years, pushing out Character Packs isn't such a bad thing. it's a form of revenue generating that many gaming companies do

TL:DR - i wasn't excited but i wasn't disappointed either. All in all, i find the new Class very appealing, the QoL changes much needed and that's all i need. when the time comes, new content will emerge and people will rememeber why they played this game for hours on end.

posted a message on Necromancer post by J. Mueller

well, it may very well be just a poster they want to sell for attendees on the floor.

if it is a new class, i do wonder how they would go about it. if they are going for a summoner, how would it go about quantity/quality here? in d2 you had to skills in the tree that amps up the number you can summon and their stamina. i guess you can go for passives and legendary items but still...

as far as "Bone" Skills, i can see some variety - the classic Teeth and Bone Spear, Bone Armor for Survivability. Taking stuff from the Kimimaru fight in Naruto can also work for more AOE skills.

Blood magic can also come into play here with Vampirsm and Blood Golem.

Spirit is more of the WD niche so i don't think that there will be something here for the Necro.

Curses can be an interesting mechanic as an active Aura you can do like in the live game be instead of targeted you can have it gererated like Frozen Nova.

you can do some great stuff to keep true to the classic niche of the necromancer while also trying out fresh stuff.

we'll see what happens when Blizzcon rolls out this coming friday.

Season 8 after Blizzcon ... R.I.P. or rebirth for Diablo. Im skeptical about future of Diablo series ...

Who from developers from Diablo team will come on stage at blizzcon ? Wyatt Cheng, Travis Day and Paul David ? lol please dont

Or whomever they hired to be the new lead, which is the more likely answer, and we all know Cheng is simply acting as intermediary right now, not a full time lead developer.

I don't think they have hired anyone as of yet. The Game Director position is still on their site...

Well that is interesting for sure, because last I checked that was not online anymore. That being said, it does not change my opinion, on the 20th anniversary, you need to make the crowd go OMG THAT SHIZ IS GONNA BE AWESOME!!!!!!!

And lets be real, a D2HD reboot does not do that, and honestly, I am not sure that a D3 xpac 2 does either. It needs to be D4, or some form of MMOARPG, which would revolutionize the industry without a doubt.

What that job posting does tell everyone tough, is that there is clearly a future planned for Diablo, which has me VERY EXCITED!!!!!
an mmoarpg? you mean, like Lost Ark that the koreans are working on? yeah.. could be nice....

posted a message on PTR 2.4.2: "Twisters will now despawn if they stop moving".

And also, complaininh about the team not having enough manpower is annoying. We know it. They know it. What would you expect when you had 2 major people leaving the company and another one working on another game. Maybe season 8 will see better days than season 7 but for the love of whatever deity you believe in - take everything in proportion...

As he stated, you'd better wait for season 7. As far as solo, probably either the Wiz or WD. For groups, i think the same.. the wiz will be able to push higher though...

posted a message on How to fix Vyr in my opinion

If you bring up Vyr in term of power to the other sets, you get diversity in terms of playstyle. People will always find the most efficiant way to play but for those who want to push and not have to play a set or a playstyle they dont want, it gives them another option.

posted a message on How to fix Vyr in my opinion

Well, look at this in this way -

Currently, the set gives you more attack speed and toughness with the amount of stacks that you have and each individual stack has 6% multiplicative damage.

So for the short period you have overlapping stack that for arguments sake gets to 200. That 1200% increased damage.

Firebird gives you 2000% for igniting an elite and tal rasha gives you 3000% for up to 8 seconds (which is almost half of the duration of archon) and thats before you add the archon stacks.

So yeah. Vyr is not in a good place at the moment but if you give my idea a chance, you double the damage you have from 1200% to 2400% and that will help Vyr get to about the same level as firebird and tal rasha.

For a set that revolves around the wizards Ultimate skill, its lackluster compared to the other sets that can overpower it quite easily..

posted a message on How to fix Vyr in my opinion

With having Archon being better with Tal Rasha and Firebird rather than the set the was made for Archon, here is what i think should be changed to help this set better suit the skill:

Bring the 4 piece set back to 1.5% IAS, armor and resistances. Just make it tankier overall.

Add a new set bonus to the six piece bonus that essentually doubles the damage per stack from 6% to 12% while keeping the existing bonus as is.

That way, the set will have more than enough damage to go toe to toe with the other powerful sets.

Place your thoughts about how would you change the set.

    Constructive critisism is always welcomed.

posted a message on I think the future of D3 is looking bright tbh.,,

Well, I don't mind the way the game is now. Take a look at diablo 2: the game has been around for nearly 20 years and people are still playing it. Would i like new content? Sure. Do i demand new content? No. Everything that blizzard do is for a reason. So yeah, they shifted some of the D3 team to work on other projects in the company. Doesnt mean that the game is dead or what not...
