Well they only showed 3 runes so either they are just picking some things to show all of or they cut back our customization alot.
True. The thing is, I severely doubt they'd cut the runes down to 3, it's all about not putting to much on the screen. The gems however, as said, would be logical.
The previous screens I mentioned, did show ruby adding spelldmg when socked in a weapon. Likewise the sapphire added magic find in helmets, and amethyst added attacks per second in wep and move speed in helm.
I do agree we don't need too many gem types.

I don't mean a thing that goes around and kills everything for you. too WoW. I was just playing "Fate" which is a diablo clone. They have pets. But, the one thing that caught my eye is that you can put equipment in the pets inventory and send it to town to sell it for you. Ever been in a situation where you need some extra inv space to pick up more expensive items but you already have too many. This would be very helpful...Idc if the pet ONLY does this.

I have to admit...it is like WoW...but at the same time, it does look more realistic. and No, I don't like the armors...hopefully it'll be fine tuned. Don't worry, it won't be hitting the shelves anytime soon.

Don't get me wrong.
I love Horror movies, Listen to Heavy Metal, and 90% of the time wear black. AND I Loved Diablo 2 mostly for the dark atmosphere. BUT, think about it this way....
We've only seen two places. I believe blizzard wants to convey many different emotions all throughout the game. You can't expect EVERYWHERE to be dark and gritty. They've had 20 years of peace. You just can't expect the whole world to turn dark in an instant. They want a very eclectic color scheme. And they all aren't bright, there are some pretty dark looking places. I'm just saying you shouldn't get all up in arms so quickly.
When you heard the announcement, how happy were you? Has it already faded? Well then I guess you really didn't deserve it if you wanna bitch so much. Sure, I voted some areas coud be tweaked, but it's really not that bad at all. I'm jovial.
