I searched for Titan and found this thread. I wanted to continue it in an appropriate place. A lot of speculation is all we have. And I would like to give my 2 cents. Not only as a hopeful pipe dream, but as an official declaration. I want credit for my thoughts if I turn out to be right. hahah
Project Titan: Supposed to be SciFi, Historical, Post-Apocalyptical setting.
- "In the past Kaplan, who revealed he is involved in the project, was asked if the game's genre would be science fiction, post-apocalyptic, or historical, and while laughing he responded: "all of those combined!"
- "There are many others ideas that Blizzard has started and have never seen the light of day. 12 years ago, Blizzard was developing a game that called Nomad. Nomad was a group-based Sci-Fi that was worked on for several years by Blizzard. However, near the same time WoW was being conceptualized. After looking at both games, Blizzard decided to abandon Nomad for the, now popular, WoW. However, this means that there was still plenty of work that was done on Nomad before the game was removed. While no information was or has ever really been given about the game, at the 2009 Austin Game Developer Conference, some concept art from the game was shared."
Maybe resurrecting this cancelled game?
Anyway, my idea was, maybe this next gen mmo code named Titan is about the moon, Titan, which orbits Saturn. Titan is said to theoretically plausible conditions for life.
- "Scientists believe that the atmosphere of early Earth was similar in composition to the current atmosphere on Titan, with the important exception of a lack of water vapor on Titan."
- "It has also been suggested that life could exist in the lakes of liquid methane on Titan, just as organisms on Earth live in water. Such creatures would inhale H2 in place of O2, react it with acetylene instead of glucose, and exhale methane instead of carbon dioxide."
Anyway, maybe in the future, we've colonized Titan. And this is based around that moon. What the hell do i know though. I was bored at work today, so I thought of this.
Take care,
DKR
Nice Speculation. I bet they will have a teaser for Titan at the next Blizzcon.

All these games are crap, except for Warhammer. Lets hope he doesn't have the same mentality like he did for his other game designing experience.
Jay Wilson informed Mike Morhaime on 8/2/2011, 1 days after the conference call that beta was ready to go. Mike approved and told Jay to start beta on 8/8/2011. Jay's team in preparation updated the system check for beta and told his team to let the public know on 8/3/2011. The Diablo team will start their system picking for beta on 8/8/2011 and we let the lucky individual know on the same day or next.
The conference call was on the 3rd.

Has there been any discussion on the official D3 forums... I mean that bashiok has actually responded to? I haven't seen anything so now that the interview is 100% legit and its out there for everyone we need to as a community find out what this inferno difficulty entails.
I for one believe the speculation that it isn't so much a whole new difficulty but a new endgame feature or story part.
Interview is legit, its on the beta announcement website.
I know you're being sarcastic, but I'll answer to your post anyway. If it starts tomorrow, Mike Morhaime would've said it during the Conference Call. So there you go.
