If a player wants to get gold for their items while in the field they can just use a "scroll of wealth," he added.
do you guys think this will work like the pet in torchlight? because the way jay worded it, it sounds as though you wont need to go back to town to sell stuff
You can't prove someone wrong when the statement that they will definitely be in D3 has never been made. That's like saying "I heard santa will be in D3" prove me wrong
Yes, the iron wolves are the Act III hirelings.
lol i was just going for the figure of speech not literal approach. But upon further investigation I have read that polearms (at least) will be in D3, i don't know where I heard it though

zWillz, what game is your avatar from? I think I remember that guy from a SNES game a long time ago...
its not from a game, its from a wallpaper i got it here
the iron wolves are the act 3 mercs arent they? I thought they were like the sorcerers from D1. Also im pretty sure i read/heard somewhere that spears and/or polearms wont be in D3.. someone prove me wrong lol
Since Jay said it may be a returning character from the past, and from what I read, everyone wants a ranged user with some good melee skills, I am going out and saying this:
The Valkyrie.
The summon of the amazon, it is a heavily clad warrior who uses a spear, but Im sure they could make her use a shield and sword as well as a bow or xbow. It is a returning character and I feel it fits in what is missing with the classes. The only thing Im not sure is the backstory. What do you guys think? (Also, they could leave traps for an expansion character, they dont need to cover ALL the bases)
I like the idea of the monk using focus. This word seems to fit him very very well. But what kind of system would it be? It would have to allow him to use his combos when he first starts fighting, maybe the more combos he finishes the more focus he regenerates? maybe this is too close to fury. I dont know, Im just brainstorming.
Also, what about mana potions? will there be fury potions? and potions for each character? this seems kinda weird...
...I don't think the character themes are similar at all, the Witch Doctor is quite unique imo...
I agree 100%
The necro was my favorite class of D2 because I am really really lazy and it was fun having my summons do all the work, now in D3, i don't think the summons will do all the work but at least I can be a little bit lazy : D
EDIT: As regards to the OP, I think people want the necro back just mainly because of the lore and the theme (he was pretty evilish as opposed to the other heroes). The WD is very very close to the necro IMO, so close in fact that I really dont think they should bring the necro back (The D2 way, lots of summons, curses, etc.) The only way they will bring him back is if they change him a lot and that way people wont like him as much : P
the "blue orb" is actually the chat gem from diablo 2, if you play diablo 2 online its there in the chat, and you click it it turns purple and says "chat gem activated" it does nothing and has been around for 8 years
When you have a skelemancer, you should get the might aura merc, it will increase physical damage dealt by all your skellies! very useful up until you get to PI.
I think they may have one older class, my guess would be sorcerer(D1)/sorceress(D2) and the other 2 will be new ones completely (Though they will have some familiar skills/spells)
