True enough, I wasn't playing the game too strategically. I could have leveled a little before trying him I guess, but I just sucked that fight. I opened a portal expecting my minions to die again (I had resummoned them about 3 time and Duriel was at half health) but he got infront of the portal and I couldn't get back so I tried to kite him away from the portal but he got me =(
Good thing to do is keep a few town portal scrolls on your belt, so if he's comin' for ya just hit like 4 and get the 'ell outta there.
Copy the music mpq over to your diablo II installation folder before installing LOD. It simply does the copying then. If it detects the play disc mpq files in your diablo II installation folder it'll skip that lil' step there.
Destructible Environments, even though they'll be probably limited it's such a lovely thing to have to smash some tables while you wait for the rest of the party to go restock.
All he basically did was saturate it. and it doesn't look that good. I highly doubt Blizzard would do that to Diablo 3. Now if they overly-bloomed everything and made it brown then that would be perfect. because brown is real! (joking obviously :p)
They're obviously not going to make you pay, if they did they wouldn't make nearly as much money as they would if it were free. This isn't an mmo, and those who say "Well if we pay we'll get weekly updates just like WoW!"
WoW is an mmo it requires weekly updates to prevent exploits, cheaters, and the occasional addition. If they didn't fix the exploits and such then it would eventually become a large scale problem and they'd lose a lot of customers. Diablo 3 isn't that large scale, and it isn't a massive world with everyone on one map.
So in conclusion doubt they'll be a Subscription fee.
Half-Life is THE example of a game that lived really long because of modders.
Half-Life Source, made and released by Valve wasnt as successful as most of the unofficial mods released. I have heared about the Black Mesa mod but havent really looked into it. As i have Half-Life 2, i'll probably give it a shot when its out cause i really liked Half-Life.
Anyways, yeah Half-Life 2 has a lot of mods going on, which is awesome because it extends the length of a game, and allows users to create basically anything they want. If Blizzard did release some tools to mod Diablo 3, then I'm sure some modders will recreate diablo 1 and 2.

Well actually it'd be easier, since the 2d sprites in Diablo 1 and 2 were just hundreds of renders of 3d models.
If all you need to do is change something on the skin, it would still be easier than doing it on a 2d sprite.
