Quote fromOh my god that is amazing! The detail is exquisite, on all of them! I wish I could make costumes that good.
HEY there is one more Diablo related costume! Mistress of Pain!!!

Surely that is her.
I believe there is one that is also a barbarian male, if I'm not mistaken.

You know, I'm actually really surprised that somebody didn't get their hands on a copy of that demo and leak it online. Sounds like something people would have been trying to do.
However, best case scenario is that they give beta keys to people at blizzcon this year, within a few months the beta opens, and within Q4 of 2010 it will be released. I hope that this will be the case, but Blizzard is infamous for its released push-backs.

I certainly hope so. The problem I foresee is that they'll find it of trivial significance because of the achievement system. I'd personally rather have this than that.

First of all... this isn't exactly the best site to help you recovery. Second of all, that's a really serious thing to write about when people on this forum will really care. I hope that you find what you need, but here's some advice.
From what I gather you are in highschool. Also you have listed 4 things that seem to be prioritized by somebody who really hasn't experienced anything outside of that "scene." This is honestly a shame, and of course it's difficult to understand things outside of your realm. The real thing, though, is to understand that the things that you have listed are not the end-all-be-all of the world. Hair grows back and life moves on.
I'll give you some advice with a list of things to consider.
1) The girlfriend
If the girl you were with was with you only because of your style then you were with a person that was not worth your time. She doesn't notice you for who you are and doesn't value the niceties of life such as character/personality, your ambitions, your emotions, your life. These are all things you need to feel about the other person before you can really make something work. Highschool girls aren't known for their ability to percieve beyond the material world, so it is likely that you will not find what you're looking for in highschool. There is a huge world beyond it and it's worth living to see it.
2)The XboX
I don't want to make you sound like a fool, but why are you sad that you don't have this? Is it for the games? The relationships you're missing out on by not having this avenue for more P2P experience? There are a million other ways to keep in touch with people and there are plenty of games out there that don't require this console. However, if this is really getting you down then I'd consider getting a job. I have worked since I was 15. Some people are against it, too lazy, etc. However, there are a lot of freedoms that come with it. Being able to drop bills whenever you want because YOU have earned it is a great feeling. Always make sure that you're doing what it takes to get the things you want. Pull out all the stops.
3)The Skateboard
This can be looked at as the same way as the XboX.
4)No Diablo
Which Diablo? One, Two or Three? Because we are all dying to get our hands on that gem (Diablo III that is). But if you are lacking the other titles then I'd recommend that you fork up 5 dollars and buy 2 CD-keys from a site selling keys. Make a Battle.net account, type in the keys, download the clients and have your fun.
5)The Girl at School
Well, the biggest thing is understanding this girl before you make a move. Here are some things yo consider:
There are many other things to consider, but I hope this helps a little. If you need any more advice feel free to PM. Just make sure you're not putting anybody, including yourself, in a path of destruction.
[EDIT] Don't let these things get to you. Keep your head above the water and really, truly, put yourself in a position that makes you self-reliant. There is nothing worse to be co-dependent on things you don't have. Live life to the fullest with what you have. On your way pick up the things you want and keep going.

I posted it under my other psuedonym "Evyl."

Yeah, most definitely. There is always a cost-benefit analysis that would be needed in order to really figure out the fine details.
Yeah, the loot table would be a long-shot. However, I can only imagine that people will be making loot tables on sites though... similar to what people did with WoW. Sites like thottbot and wowhead popped up to help the casual player get through quests with ease and know which bosses were best to farm.
Either way, though, asking for loot-tables is a bit much, but merely an example of what we saw in some of our other favorite games (or mine, at least :D)

Yes, of course. But this wouldn't hinder somebody's pace of killing in the least. You could look at it at your leisure. I'm not saying it has to be some acquired skill or anything, just brainstorming
If it automatically updated your progress would be just as fast and you can just take some time once and a while to see the monsters you've encountered. Hell, I'll tell you there were some things I didn't really stop to look at in Castlevania. The Bestiary allowed me to check out some of the parts I blazed by. It's almost like "where you've been" so you don't get caught up by progression. You can always look back.
That reminds me, it should also provide the date and time you encountered this monster to give you a sense of progress.
That's kinda the idea, but I'd love to see it not... so like that. I like to stay closer to the Castlevania-veign of thinking. I think there's a lot of good ideas in those games (the series is fantastic) and it's gothic to boot.

In Diablo, loot tables were determined by monster level over monster type :(. However, that is how I'd LIKE it to be.
I figured it'd be a wonderful addition since they are already providing background for some monsters as we go through. Perhaps it could be possible to pick up lore as a secondary skill which allowed you to research the monsters. This is only a rough idea, but I'd love to see something like this.
Yup! Your thread started me thinking about Sacred 2 and then to Castlevania for some reason

In the Beastiary you would see things that would give character and background to the world you live in. This would work in tandem to parts of the story that are revealed through questing. Completing the beastiary will also reward completionists and those that like to explore.
Things often seen in a beastiary:
-The Monster (how many times you've killed it)
-Common places you find it
-Background information of the monster itself
-Loot tables (Castlevania style)
This would be somewhat of a journal that would fill out as you came across the monsters of Sanctuary.
I'd like to know what the community thinks of this idea. I can see it working really well, giving depth to the world and another facet of the game to pursue. I can also see why others may be against the idea.
(I also searched for a thread that was similar to this and didn't come up with anything, so I hope this is an original thread)

Plus I think it would always be a good idea to discuss loot as you're going. I'd just want to make sure items weren't being thrown away if somebody could make good use of it.

If you can post a screenshot of the message, perhaps there is another way around it.

I like how this vampire trait is beat to death online, yet it's only mentioned about 3 times in all 4 novels. I guess that's ignorance for you.
I also find it interesting that people are so concerned with holding on to the traditional vampire archetype. I'm sorry but I'm rather sick of the monotony in the vampire genre prior to this series. Granted that the movie was hardly a good portrayal of the book, I think people are afraid to read it because they might like it. Like... perhaps they are less manly to read a book that hundreds of thousands enjoy. It's good to read them just to understand what you're rejecting.
And I agree with several of the posts about how this got over-exposed. Something has a unique flare and the media and pop-culture world tramples it to death. A shame, really.

1) You broke the ToS
2) You got caught
3) You take the consequences
People are so upset when they're caught breaking the rules. I can completely understand why d2loader is against their ToS. It gives the player an unfair advantage against others by enabling you to have to characters in a game on a single computer.
Your ban is completely justifiable.
Solution: DON'T USE D2LOADER
[EDIT] Their inability to fix bots and dupers notwithstanding, you still didn't follow ToS. I wish they had security measures that fixed it all. And as a sidenote - it's not like some person is sifting through everything. They have a system that tags you and bans you.

Why should an animal give its life to provide a tastier dinner for somebody else? Is it not enough to eat well without needing the taste? Is taste really justification for taking a life? No matter how small?

You see, you as a single entity doesn't matter. But the problem is that many people with this same mantra become the problem. When one person follows the masses because they feel they are a droplet within the sea, then your integrity within society is compromised.
I think it's important to know your surroundings. In one way or another, they will affect you. Of course you can always move, but I think it's important to play a part in the world no matter how little of an affect you have.
