So if you aren't complaining about realism, why are you complaining in general? Why do you think it makes the demons look bad to get killed by kung-fu moves or by a toad? Because it doesn't make sense, right? Because it isn't "realistic" or "believable".
Well in Diablo (and yes I do know the lore) humans are powerful, if I'm not mistaken at one point they had the potential to become more powerful than angels and demons. So why would it make a demon a 'pussy' if he was killed by a highly trained human warrior in powerful gear that happens to use kung-fu?
I know how much more 'amazing' it is to kill a massive demon with a swirling hammer, or after you transformed into a bear, or when you summon a bunch of little skeletons, or you lay down some traps that shoot electricity, or when you do a jump kick, or summoning vines... I mean, killing one of the most powerful demons in hell with that stuff is all 'hardcore' and makes the demons look bad ass... But killing them by smashing their skull with a giant mace (like the trailers show the monk doing) is just so lame. :rolleyes:

Hum, yeah, the toads look pretty wicked as an artstyle, but in game they don't look scary to me. But of course I know that they are. Just the idea itself, of a toad killing Diablo doesn't appeal to me, that's all
But i'm not whining about it. I'm just not a great fan of this skill and flame of bats for example.
PS: but this is the MONK thread, so let's finish our off-top.
Yeah but those are the first summons you get, I douth you'll be killing Diablo with them, hell i never seen anyone kill Baal with wolves either. At least not without any kind of support or re-summons. -

Unless you didn't see that skill. Then it's impossible to figure out. But if you saw it more than once (on screenshot or sth), it should have been easy to know what I meant. You just didn't see it often enough or you're too excited about news, so that your reasoning got a bit weaker ;]
I've seen the gameplay video of the witch doctor a couple of times, never associated his summons with toads, but those "toads" seems pretty dangerous to me anyways... -

In Diablo 2 you could kill them with little spiraling hammers, druids who turn into wolves/bears, an assassin doing jump kicks. Is that really better or more 'realistic' than a super fast monk smacking you around with his staff?
If you guys hate it so much, why post here? Why buy the game? Just go away because they sure as hell are not going to change it for you.
First, if you knew the lore of diablo just a little bit you'd know why humans can kill demons.
Second, a werewolf/bear might just be a little more dangerous then some dude who knows karate, unless you're Chuck Norris. And i never said anything about "realistic" so i don't know where you're going with that, hell i don't even think that you do yourself.
Third, we post here because that's what forums are for either it's complain or acclaim something. Why i will buy the game ? Because I liked Diablo 1 and 2, it's not because somone doesn't like 1 or 2 class that he can't get the game.
Now you you failled on pretty much every level that there was to fail here, so maybe it's you who should go away, get some rest before you come here post some stupid crap like that. -

I think the monk is the most impressive of all the announced classes so far, I can't wait to play him.
For those of you who don't like him... weep in greater quantities, novices. The monk is a badass and there is no question about it.
If you ask me, the thought of the monk killing evils or Diablo for that matter with his kung-fu or w/e martial art he's using doesn't make him bad ass, it's making the evil look like pussies. -

I'll go in order.
1- Who is Inarius and when was his era ?
2- Who is Lilith ?
3- Who is Uldyssian ?
4- What are the Nephalem ?
5- Are the Ancient ones that you fight in D2-lod the childrens of Inarius and Lilith ?
Sorry i know i'm asking alot but I read about all the pages of this threads and i'm lost, i only played the games, i didn't read any of the novels and it's been years since i played D2, decade+ in the case of Diablo I.

And another class i would like to see is a Crusader, which would replace in a way the paladin, except without the auras...

I would like to see something truly unique for each unique items, something that other people could see on screen on the other characters without asking the other guy " hey what's your armor/weapon/etc".
Here's others that i don't think needs explaining.
-A very big storage place for all your stuff.
-The ability to give gears to your other characters without having someone to give the item to then come back and exchange again.
-No more having to repair.
-Crafting.

Ok i think you ( and others ) misunderstood me, i don't want blizz give us a warrior class, i want them to give THE warrior FROM diablo I, the same hero who defeated Diablo in the first place, not just a warrior class with melee abilities...
So you prefer to have useless bonus who doesn't do anything instead of a new character to play with...ooook.
So no types of games but fighting games can have unlockable characters ? What about Marvel ultimate alliance, Hulk ultimate Destruction and a shit load of others ?

I hope that some of the previous character will make an appearance tho.
And i don't think the new characters are more god-like then the previous, they didn't survive 20 years of hell on earth, sure they must of done some hardcore shit but hell didn't break lose right after tyreal destroyed the worldstone, at least i don't think so. If anything it started only a couple of years before where diablo 3 starts.

It's just a bonus for fun, like the unlockable characters in a fighting game that's all.
