posted a message on Video card upgrade
Yes but don't expect to get decent frames at native resolution while playing any modern games.. you'll have to go down to 1280x1024 to get decent performance. That or 1680x1050 on Low settings, which isn't worth it.[/quote]
Really? That's too bad. Even if I upgraded monitors I'd have to go back down to the native resolution of the one I own right now (17" acer, I really wanted to upgrade). Oh well I suppose I'll have to upgrade both at some point then.

    One more question then.

Could you use an nvidia graphics card on a motherboard that has built in ati graphics? Would you just disable onboard graphics and use the card and it would work fine?

I figure if I end up having to buy a new graphics card I would put mine in my parents PC.

    Thanks again.

Waking up in the middle of the night, being conscious of the fact you are awake, but not being able to move an inch of your body no matter how hard you tried. This happened to me a few times a long time ago. Scared the crap out of me, still kind of freaks me out thinking about it.

Hang on, i didn't see any passive skills there, or are the ones without a box below them passive?
i guess the witchdoctor isn't finalised but the skills are really cool, does anyone know what they all do?

I think I remember hearing that runes can be inserted only in active skills. Assuming that is true, all the skills without the slot shown for adding a skill rune would be passive or buff type skills.

    E. Nomine.

It's in German, but I like a few of their songs.

Try their song Schwartze Sonne, you might like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxQxqm_jInU

It's not like Opeth and the other bands listed though.

I don't like bands where they don't actually sing(scream instead), so I can't give you an opinion on what may be considered dark.

I am not sure how the lyrics are. They do have a song titled lucifer though, I won't ever be listening to it, but the three songs I have listened to I believe are not satanic.

posted a message on Rethinking Armor Sets?
Sounds like a cool idea to me. It can't be too overpowered though. Even with a long cool down in a sticky situation it would still be an easy button. In PvP having that special technique may also give one person an advantage. I don't know, either way I hope set items return and that they're awesome.

I also want set item green to be used somewhere if not for set items, I always loved that color.

I would like to see more set items named after some of the characters/lore from the novels as well. That would be cool for everyone that read the books.

(king of Ureh maybe could have a set, the guy that tried to stop the city from being sent to hell, etc). (don't remember the names).

I could never get complete high level sets, so I don't know exactly how they worked. In my barb I had all but IK's armor. I tried so hard to find that but never could.(I played SP)

Snape has to be the most always present evil seeming character that was in the book(voldemort makes only guest appearences, so he doesn't count for the point I'm trying to make). The actor they chose fits Snape perfectly, I'd have to say all the actors seem to fit the characters from the book. That's not to say the movies measure up to the books, it is hard to make a better movie from a well written book. I can see making a better movie out of a poorly written book, but the reverse mus be a rare occurrence.

Those who are afraid of spoilers. Just read the books, any local library should have them. If you don't like to read maybe you'll learn to. With the right book or books reading is a great thing. My problem is I'm very picky, so when I find an author I like I re-and-re-and-re read the books by that author. This can get very old.

What I should do is look for more authors. Randomly check out something(in my case mostly from the fantasy genre) that may look or sound interesting, then see if I like it. Otherwise I'll become very bored of even my favorite author's works.

I lol at my friend when he trash talks Snape for killing Dumbledore. He hasn't read the 7th book... or the 6th or the 5th, but he's seen all the movies, so I have to fill him in after the movies over. I didn't tell him about Snape though because that's the biggest spoiler.

True, true. I have a friend who saw the movie and when I mentioned it he said he knew Snape was evil all along. I just had to laugh to myself and keep quiet.

I have to agree that this was the best HP film yet. I own all the books and thought this movie was great. Don't mistake me for some blinded fanboy though, I like good writing, and certain authors; J.K. Rowling happens to be a good writer, and one I like.

This movie seems to have gotten mixed reviews, some seem to have really disliked it while others really liked it. Well...I liked it.

posted a message on 4 Difficulties?
Diablo 2, single player. no trading no dupes, no bots, no cheats, only what I could find with that character. I didn't use a program to transfer items from char to char either. The only runeword I ever used was ral+ort+tal for a beginning shield.

Still maybe it was easy, and I sucked, one thing I know though is that leveling was really slow and good useful drops for that specific class were pretty rare.

If they did have another difficulty I don't think they should announce it. I think it should be unlocked as a surprise once you beat the game on hell mode.

Either way I don't care if they have 4 difficulties. The 3d is difficult enough as it is.

Agreeing with the dumbing down of the idea(Sfjake,Credge,Seth etc.).

Aswell as Bashioks explanation about "when to use what enchant on the dog" <- fire resistance mob, use locust. Poison resistance mob, use fire. A way to fix the accidental enchanting of a zombie dog is simply to make the first one irreversable. Geez, how hard can it be.

True that would work too. Just have the first enchantment stick for the duration of the summons life. If you really wanted to change poison to fire or fire to poison, sacrifice it to kill some guys, then summon a new one.

Out of what I've seen of the game we only have seen mongrels(don't really like zombie dog). We haven't been shown any of the other ones yet.

Some cool ideas on this thread. If they haven't been posted on b.net maybe they should be posted.
