it was only up for the first two weeks of my membership, and i never even used it, so it didnt deter me, i came/joined here, because i choose to regardless of the shoutbox and its content,
That being said, human beings have a tendency to be different from one another. What deters one may not necessarily deter another.

This argument is pointless. Whether or not people join, the fact remains that the sponsors of the website are still liable for its representation, and no amount of complaining or "petition" signing will change that.

That's not my point. It isn't a matter of whether children have access to content that should normally be unavailable to them, it is a matter of whether the content displayed by our representatives, i.e, you all, will be something that brings or rejects potential members. You need to realize that this website was created to turn a profit, not put out a public service.

Being different isn't a such a bad thing. It brings in new ideas. It's ignorance and the rejection of opposing opinions simply because they aren't yours that holds society back.

shoutbox doesnt have to be on the homepage does it
The entire website is viewable to anyone who wishes to enter, including guests. Also, any website that admits people of ALL ages to view the contents of their site has to have some kind of control factor that sifts adult and offensive content out of the viewable portions of the site.

At the same time, it allows words and phrases that turn people away to appear without consequence or censorship. You have to measure the good and bad of things. There are more unfavorable qualities about the shoutbox than favorable.

RPG's about evil and it's influence on MAN:

1 The entire Dragon Quest series
2 The entire Final Fantasy series
3 The entire Baldur's Gate series
    4 The entire Zelda series
    5 The entire Gauntlet series

Diablo is not that original. Every product of media has "stolen" something or another from a previous production of a similar genre. Name any game, movie, or song in the world, and I can find a link to another. It's a fact of life. There is no shame in being similar to someone or something else.

Wrong. A petition is something you sing, not vote upon. If you don't agree with the petition, you simply don't sign it.

Oh, and to answer your question, yes, I am anti box. A shoutbox is something that can very easily be manipulated into something that will turn off potential members from joining. All it takes is one meaningless post to turn this once semi-mature community into something that seems like much less. There is no way to edit it fast enough to ensure that any undesirable statements remain off of it.

Dungeon Siege is much better. I like it a lot. By the way, Dungeon Siege does indeed have the races that you for some reason hate so much.

That would be posting, or, at the very most, signing the petition, not voting for it. There is no way to vote on this thread.

Perhaps he meant races among human beings? There are more ways to describe race than just whether you are a walking panther or lizard man or human being. Even in the Diablo series, there are races. Just because they don't have the same names for them in the Diablo universe doesn't mean they don't exist. The classes are the same as races.

I think including races in the third installment is a fine idea. It adds the oppourtunity for a lot more variety in the game, for example, allowing a Barbaring Class(Race) character to use Sorceress skills, thus creating a character with high def and powerful magic, or an amazon who uses necromancer sklls, to make a Blood Raven style character.

Don't be so quick to shoot down your peers' ideas. That's where progress comes from, new ideas. If everyone stuck to the same, boring template for all of their video games, the Diablo franchise would never have been invented in the first place. We would still be stuck with the pen and paper game. Don't be rude.

As I said before the "shoutbox" was originally created, there really aren't enough people online at the same time for such a tool to be a nessecity. The frequency with which members interact is the same now as it would be with the return of the shoutbox.

Websites like that post as many related links as they can in order to appear on search engines such as google, yahoo, etc. in an attempt to catch the eye of a potential buyer of the domain name. The links aren't necessarily legitimate, and I would not recommend surfing through them looking for CD keys and the like. Most of the downloads available are insecure, and almost as many contain viruses.

i think www.newd2event.com is giving away free cdkeys that has been ban but some hackers edit it and make it undetectable i think.

i don't know just check it out

It's not really a functional website. It's just full of links to other sites. I doubt that they are giving them away.

In that case, since Diablo is obviously mostly a PVP game anyway, they should include an Arena feature this time around, where players can choose the stakes. I think that would be a cool idea.

I had a lvl 87 barb. He was a polearm barb, because I wanted to see what it would be like to actually put the Tomb Reaver to use, instead of trading it away. I died the second i put the stupid thing on in A5. Two hits was all it took to kill me, with 7k life...
