blizzard put it there to get people back in to the diablo series more then they did for the players to relax to.
You may actually be onto something there. Perhaps it is indeed some lame tactic to drag people back to the Diablo series, kicking and screaming, so that there is at the very least some kind of fanbase left for the game when they finally release it. I am starting to get a little agitated with how long it is taking. Blizzard's 30 minutes or less is up by now, so I want mine free.

Indeed, there is alot of arguing when people post too often, but people are gonna argue when they disagree on anything, posting or no posting, but we have over like 300 members and so far ive only seen 5-10 actually say anything... i mean thats a little below the number i think ;/
Well, I think you will find that people will speak to each other more often as soon as something is released about the game. This is a lull, nothing more. Without an official announcement for D3, or at least something that we suspect will be an official announcement when the time comes, these will come and go with the number of members that frequent the site. You need to remember that, even though there are 300 members, not all of them are even interested in joining the community, but are simply joining with the hope that there is some kind of "members only" section where they can have access to all the secret videos we have of Diablo 3 previews.

P.S. What ever happened to that fake video the site had, Umaro? I liked it, it made me smile. The site won't be the same without it. Our "first ever D3 trailer."

p.s. watch it be a preview of the Burning crusade beta, rofl ;)... good times
That would indeed be the ultimate burn. If it does turn out to be the Burning Crusade Beta preview, I will personally burn everyone on the beta player list alive, then desecrate their ashes.

Thats not the problem, we just do not generate enough visitors as it is to get into any worthwhile programs. However, we do make a lot of money from the current google adsense since we serve such highly targetted banners.
Sorry guys, but I completely forgot the real reason for my reply. Umaro, have you guys tried putting banners up on some of the more reputable sites? Is there some kind of charge for it? Obviously, for liability reasons, sites like battle.net and Blizzard.com won't put it up, but have you tried contacting some of the more *ahem* official unofficial sites? Maybe diablo2.com/diablo2.net? There has to be a fanbase left that still frequents the D2 sites.

P.S. Sorry, couldn't resist the joke.

I am 70% sure it is UT2007, 30% sure it is a preview of D3 beta
Why be so secretive for an installment in an already existing series, unless there were some kind of exceptional circumstance? Would UT2007 really be cause for an unannounced game announcement? I am honestly asking, that wasn't a rhetorical question. I am curious now.

It never has been, nor will it ever be, a question of 'if,' but a question of 'when!'
Cyks, I smile at your enthusiasm, but even you must admit that it is indeed a possibility. I am psyched for D3 just as much as the next guy, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be realistic. Yes, chances are, the game will be produced at some point in time, but that doesn't guarantee it. Even a 97.3% chance is not a guarantee. Just ask the millions of teen parents out there.;)

battle.net now has a "Diablo II music player".... pretty cool feature i suppose, although im not sure how many ppl will want to listen to diablo music while surfing the net. In my opinion, just another little way for blizzard to get people back into the diablo series.
Wait, this player is available in a separate window? I find that a little odd. I can't think of a single reason for Battle.net to put something like that out there, unless it was some kind of weak marketing scheme. Really weak.

You guys need to post more in here $ Until diablo3 comes out i believe this site is gonna have to rely heavily on D2exp/etc to get the population up... how is that gonna have if the last post was 7 days ago :P
The trouble with posting more often is that people complain. A lot. Personally, I like the rate of posting the way it is. It leaves things to talk about when you eliminate them in moderation. When people talk to each other too often, they fight. It's a fact of life.

if i were to be taught how to do graphics and be given the programs to do it.....id happily spend all my spare time working for you......my dream at the moment is to see this diablo3 become somthing amazing and i will do whatever needs to be done to see that image fulfilled.

For once I think I must agree with Sage, a pimp slap may very well be in order. You see, there would be no need to post a request for people who know how to create these sprites and have access to do them if they wanted to just teach some random person how to do it. Also, it has been a while since I have seen anyone pimp slapped.

The reason why they are in the positions they are, is because click through rates are much higher, its not that we have to set a quota, the quota is we make as much sa people click on the banners.

As for the type of ads, the only ads that will make this site any type of money are thoes kinds of ads. We are not in a position like diabloii.net where they get so many visitors and can join up with large advertising companies that pay very well to have normal banners displayed.

Not too many are going to click on ads about hosting and so on. So until we can get accepted into a decent advertising program, we can stick through it.

And on the subject of those sites content, if blizzard maybe released a game that didnt have those major flaws, after like 10 years of doing this,t hey still cant stop duping.. they need to take a good look at maybe uhm, fixing that?

You guys should make up a survey of our member structure. Most of the dorks on here(myself included, obviously), who have had this much patience for a game that might not even be coming, would be more than willing to take five minutes to fill one out. I'm sure you'd have an easier time finding sponsors that would make you some money, and it would give you something to add to the site, maybe on the main portal section. Just an idea. Take it or leave it.

The idea of Tyreal turning evil has been a long discussed topic as well. I, for one, think that it will definitely not happen. For one thing, it is far too obvious, let alone cliche, a plot twist to turn him into the "man behind it all," and for another, there just isn't any reason to turn him into an evil character.

Tyreal represents far too much as a form of narrator for him to change sides, especially if Blizzard follows the trilogy rule, and kills the series after this final installment. Never turn a prominient character into something else in the final chapter. That kind of event belongs at the climax.

The reason we moved them to after every first post is because people just don't click on them unless they are shoved in your face.

As for the duping programs. These ads can be filtered, so send a PM to umaro asking him to filter them out and he should be able to.
I would first like to say how impressed I am with the frequency of your feedback. I know it may not seem like a big deal, but, in my opinion, it is the little things that counts, and I like that.

As far as shoving the ads down our throats, well, I don't quite grasp the point behind it. Do the sponsors require a certain number of hits or something? Do the sites maybe belong to personal partners? I know it's really none of my business, and you are more than welcome to say so, I'm just curious, that's all.
