All you can do is talk to her. I don't recall anything else. You might be able to buy something from her but that's it. She's not part of a quest or anything. Just a character to talk to.

    2. WoW Engine
A lot of foruns are speaking about the "recycling" use of the WoW Engine, so, if this is true, we know... widescreen fully supported.

The dev's have said it's a custom 3d engine built specifically for D3.

Also, your English is just fine :)

Mmm last time i asked i was told by everyone that the Barb from D2 wasn't the same from D3 :S

I thought all the heroes from D2 wre either dead or went nuts and in denial and everything ???

Ok here's where the dev's talk about the barb being the same guy from diablo 2:
"The barbarian, for instance, is the same barbarian from Diablo II but 20 years older, and so Blizzard went about deciding what happened to him over the course of that time period. "[These characters] are not generic. They're not an empty void in the middle of a story," said Boyarsky. Players will find the barbarian looks worn in Diablo III and bears multiple battle scars, supposed evidence of his hardships during the time gap."

The only problem with that is that all the survivors of the time are said to be mentally insane because of the corrupt things they've witnessed. The only reason they brought the Barb back, whether Blizzard wants to admit it or not, was for BO/BC.

    lol wut? :D
They could easily make another character have a party buff that will do the exact same thing. they dont have to make a whole character because they liked 2 skills of it.

Yeah but I don't really like the idea of a Knight class in Diablo. It's so overused. Also knights are usually virtuous and sometimes use shields. It'd be kind of like the paladin but without the magic or the more intense reasoning of "cleansing" evil from the world. :P

Haha I totally agree with you there. That was the sole reason why I never liked playing a pally before the synergies came out in D2. What a goodie-two-shoes!

I think they wanted to give us some familiar ground. They gave him some new skills so it's not completely a reused character. Knight, and warrior are pretty cliche, and warrior was in d1. Assassin was in D2 and was a hybrid archtype, monk doesnt really scream major dps/hp/defense to me.

Yeah new skills help but I still would like some freshness with the chars. And I'm not saying I want any of those classes I mentioned. I was just saying that there are variations on the archetype that have been and could be used.
    (please no monk!)
Also, a class can be cliche and fun too. Just look at the sorc :)

The barbarian of D3 is not the same Barbarian from D2, there's nothing to explain about that.

Now for the subject at hand, i agree that there shouldn't be anymore returning classes, not because i didn't like the ones in D2, but simply because i want something new to play as, simple as that...

    Yeah he is actually.

And /agree with your last part there :)

    I see what you're saying.
And, like I said there still needs to be the archetypes, but there are other types of chars who are focused on melee dps like a knight, monk, assassin, warrior, etc. They can keep the archetype of a melee dps'r but introduce new characters and classes as well.

Well Barbarian is pure defense, health, and dps.

What other class could really fill this roll that hasn't been used?

Kinda... each class in D2 was dps. The pally could have a shit ton of def with auras. And i once made a sorc with every single stat point put into health. Wasnt terribly effective but i could stand there and let mobs wail on me forever. So each class had their own play styles but they were so customizable there was'nt really a 'roll' they played. It just depended on what type of dmg you wanted to do really.

Still, just because he's canon doesn't mean he has to return as a playable character. He can just as easily (or even more easily) be non-playable.

    /agree

Also how are they going to explain how the barbarian that helped kill the three prime evils lost all his power? Shouldn't he start off as an insanely powerful hero?

If the character needs to be in the game then just have him as someone we talk to, maybe even fight along side. Now that would be cool...fighting with one of the powerful heroes who defeated the three prime evils.

Blizzard North's original plan was to do this and I for one agree. Anyone else think this? I'd love to see 5 brand new characters when the game ships. I think it would dramatically increase the fun factor. How fun was it when you got D2 and were like:
'Aw man there's no more warrior, rogue, sorceror.:( 'Oh cool there's 5 new classes now!? Sweet! Now which one do i choose....'

And I realize that, of course, you gotta have the basic archetypes, but I've already seen great ideas in these forums and I fully believe the creative minds at Blizzard can come up with some new characters.
    Thoughts?
