Do recall an area in Diablo II that had a middle eastern/egyptian feel to it, yet no playable class fitted in anyway shape or form with said area?

No playable class per se, but you notice those merc? Aren't they a type of Dervish, but with pole arm instead of sword?

If I recall, Japan have myth about Oni and Genma, which are demon under a different name. So, what's so farfetch about them fighting Diablo? And remember, this is a fictional take on Asian culture, not real life.

I like slick looking character. As long as they don't look r*tard, then I'm fine.....though some time I do make exception.

I like the hybrid idea! Mainly because I want to have more use out of that bone dagger!

Well, as long as he doesn't come with trap. He would make a good alternate fighter (one who use finese attack instead of brute force).

Yeah, except Witch are generally used as a name for female magic user.

    How about Vaudun Priest/Priestess?!

The class itself doesn't have to be a real life replica Samurai of our world.
Just as Barbarian isn't the same as one in our world. Blizz can jazz up the class to fit Diablo if they want. The point is to have another unique and fun class to play with.

And as I said, Samurais are violence and dark as hell!! Either that or bring back the Warrior (none of that holy paladin bs, lol). A butcher wielding the Grandfather fTW!!!

Why is this topic being completely derailed like this? lol

If you want to discuss how male and female characters should have different attribute allocations, why don't you start a thread about it? The topic is about the art depiction. Nothing more.

lol, don't blame me. I didn't start this

Hmm, maybe I just have an odd sense of humour!

How about this: women of Sanctuary 'look' slenderer than men of Sanctuary. Logic dictate that their body have less mass, meaning less strength. But...since they aren't bulk down with huge muscle mass, they should be able to hit faster!

If Witch Doctor work, I don't see why not Samurai. But gun?!!! Are you crazy? This is Diablo, not Warcraft!!

In fact, I think Samurai fit Diablo more than the Witch Doctor (they seem too wacky). Samurai are more dark and violence (more so than the barb, I think).

posted a message on Diablo-Inspired Children's Bedtime Stories
    Quote from "Atrumentis" »
When I have children (in the reasonably distant future), I am going to read them bed-time stories inspired by Diablo.

    For example:

Once upon a time there was the most beautiful Countess in all the Western Kingdoms. She lived in her grand underground tower, bathing in blood with rooms full of gold and treasure, as she awaits the arrival of her handsome Count.

When her Count finally comes, she will seduce him with her charms and use him to fetch her maidens from local villages. When he attracts enough virgins, the Countess is then free to burn him in a wall of fire, as she can now happily continue to bath in blood and maintain her very beautiful youth, happily ever after.

I think she needs a villain. Who? Maybe it should be changed so that the Count is more of a villain.

What other bedtime stories are there? Something with the family-life of Mephisto, Lilith and Andariel? And Andariel's step-brother, Rathma/Lenarian? And Lilith's once-love, Inarius? And Inarius's brother, Tyrael? And Mephisto's brothers, Diablo and Baal!? Ohhh, such complicated family ties! There's bound to be a story to be told there.

Would be funny as hell if said count is Warlord of Blood!!!

even if its 20 years, we'd still find dried blood stains and skeletons everywhere (assuming demons don't clean up), especially in tristram sanctuary.

Perhaps not, but human does. And I am assume that they do. With the absence of a threat, human will probably repopulate any area that used to be their home.

True, though Diablo didn't strive for huge unrealistic bouncy boobies, they weren't trying to go ugly character either. I notice male character doesn't have broken teeth or pimple face!
