all i gotta say is the barbarian in the gameplay trailer was nuts! especially when he put on that set of armor. that kinda stuff makes u wanna play, the "visual" stuff. i was planning on playing a ranged classes, but this barbarian is making me think twice.
the hell is up with these ideas? samurai and guns? cmon guys keep it real. in a world like sanctuary, do u really think youll see that kinda shit? think harder next time, cmon!
and theres this one talking about creatures having genitals...
people just assume that the ones that ruin the game, are "kids", because realistically speaking... theyre kids. kids are stereotyped to be immature, annoying, dumb, and lacks common sense. thats what everybody else in the world view u as, its the circle of life. but ofcourse, not all of kids are like that.
but i gotta say, adults can also be retarded assholes when playing games. they think that just because they are older and can boss people around, they dont notice that theyre stooping down to their levels, the immature, annoying, dumb, no common sense level.
so if youre one of those dumbass "adults" keep acting like retarded faggots just because they are "older", shut the fuck up and look at ur fugly ass self in the mirror first before u shoo kids away who are just trying to have a good time playing a damn game.
i see where ur going here. ur trying to let everyone know that its already embedded into our minds that the diablo universe, is, in fact gothic and horrific. and i get what ur saying that there might be a big reason WHY blizzard isnt making the game (or atleast the trailer) gothic and horrific.
i mean, IT IS just a few minutes into the game. thats all we know. the narrator of the d3 trailer didnt even go into detail about the "gothic" shit. seemed like all they wanted us to see, were the combat styles and the hacking and slashing, and there might be a reason for that, but we dont know.
u said that trailers are important (especially the first ones that get released) because they give us that initial impression of what the overall game is gonna be like. but tbh, the "initial impression" that the d3 trailer gave me was that it was only gonna be mindless hacking and slashing... no mood-setting, or that gothic, horrific presence.
omg 2 years? u really think so? i mean just looking at the gameplay trailer id say its coming along nicely. and rob pardo even said on the interview that theyve been working on it for some time now and they just thought that last week was a good time to announce it. and i know also that blizzard has a habit of, and is known for delaying things, alot.
u mean like over all multiplayer style of the game? cuz for some odd reason when "multiplayer" enetered my mind i was thinking of pvp. and i like my pvp full out, know'm sayin? but yeah, if its over all multiplayer, i think id like the rooms idea better. the rooms one kinda goes off the traditional mmorpg style and becomes a little bit more like FPS games, where u join servers to play, but just like what Assign said, people would just camp and camp certain things and it would just ruin it.
so... basically the "rooms", or "servers" are kinda like entering an instance right? you, or youre party are the only ones online in that room right? and everything is 100%, no interruptions? so kinda like guild wars? dungeon runners? hehe sorry guys its been a looooong time since i even looked at d2 and i didnt even play it as long as most of u have, but i still love it.
i dont all bosses u to be soloable, maybe some, but the major ones u shouldnt be able to. i know this doesnt follow D2, where u can solo the whole game. but if we could solo every boss that completely throws off cooperative gameplay.
and dude... the game is not "20 years ago", it says its been 20 years ago since the evils were driven away, so 20 years since D2. u completely didnt get it.
well if theyre gonna avoid grinding AND easier leveling. theyre prbly gonna make it so that if u progress thru the game (story, dungeons, areas, etc.) the way u should, youll prbly level up along the way. BUT, the problem with this is its gonna be too linear. and a linear mmorpg, meaning youll have limited freedom to do what u want, is a disappointment.
The sense of accomplishment is the key reason for people to play the game in the first place. YOu play to win and winning gives you that feeling. Now how you define winning whether it be through awesome loot, big boss kill, a level up, or just winning a pvp battle is what keeps a person interested in the first place. I know the reason I quit WoW was because I was sick of killing the same damn monster over an over for one item and it never drops then I have to wait for an hour to find another group as well as (again) the endless monster massacring just to reach the next level.
If Blizzard just ends up doing the same thing for D3 I'm gonna fire bomb their headquarters.
oh hell no irishboy dont bomb blizzards hq! its in irvine and i live in irvine! argh!
i think when u said "Graphics similar to..." people put into consideration the camera view, thats why most of them chose D2. but cmon? D2's graphics? its 2008 people! i would say graphics similar to fable... graphics wise, not camera wise.
