I guess we should take away all the magical aspects of the game though. I mean, a person can't really stomp on the ground and cause a shockwave that rips the earth in two. That's something physics alone would say you can't do. You can't have one and not have the other. It's a magical world after all, just ACCEPT that she can do cartwheels in plate.

Bullshit. Or at least physics should apply. You can't dismiss physics purely on the basis that this is a fictional place. I hate that argument where people think just cause it's not a real place that objects and gravity, etc shouldn't have to behave normally.

No, what's bullshit is you dismissing physics when it comes to pretty much every other class based purely on the fact that it's magic, and then when it comes to a "plate wearing ninja" you get all huffy and puffy.

To back you up a little and kind of repeat myself, this is fantasy. If they want wizards with full platemail that looks like it weights 1000 lbs, then they can do so as unrealistic as it is. If they want armor designed like a string bikini that has the armor level equivilent of 6ft thick plate steel, then they can do that too. It's all a matter of what fits in the lore and the story. If you look at the stories and additions from how Diablo began, one can see the progressiveness and change in it. That also includes the books written as well. Past that, odds are that the :starwars: will continue about this "new" class.

GAH! More than likely it's taking so long because, yeah, they have reworked the system so much that the old gameplay video probably won't even be like the game is now. WE shall find out at BlizCon, I guess.

Like I said before the developers of D3 are horrible at D1 and D2. They are simply as newb as you can get. Get them in a game and I guarantee they get stomped.

They are trying to make this game as easy as it can get, as linear as it can get, and they want you to be able to play it, beat it, be the best at it without even touching a button. It's very evident with how the skills work, how no weapon swaps, how they remove parts of the game that require skill that they don't have and got spanked by. Watch namelock is next in which case this game is ruined point blank and may as well be called World of shitcraft.

The only exception to that rule I have seen is when the original designers have either lost inspiration or lost sight of what the game was. IDK if you guys have every played the GOTHIC series, but that is what happened there.

I do agree that any NEW devs on an OLD series should at least TRY to understand the spirit of how the game was written to begin with.

Back on topic: Yeah, the devs had some good reasonings for why NOT to have weapon swaping and there are people who agree. We shall see how it works with out it.

that's actually not a bad idea!

Swapping between Melee (or wand/staff) and ranged weapons? That would be a good compromise if it worked well. ^_^

I actually used the weapon swap for several ocations: The first and main slot was for killing the weaker masses that might attack me (a 2H weapon) and the other slot was for bosses and in case I got into more than I could handle (longsword and shield). I played both paladin and barbarian that way.

    No shit :o

EDIT: For fear of my short reply not properly signifying what I was indeed knowledgeable about what I was and was not, and the prospect of a such a possibility irrevocably festering ludicrous images of a supposed idiocy on my own behalf in this gathering or like-minded, I shall hereby lengthen my reply substantially by stating that I was in fact aware of the previous statement.

My apologies. Had I been aware that you were aware that I wasn't aware that you were aware of that fact, I wounldn't have tried to help you be aware of something that you were aware of in the first place.

Feels bad when ya accidentally reply like people who were considered flamers? I have been there done that. :D

That's a good question. One thing I do know is I do not want her to have whatever freaky image you posted in the OP. And if that's the side-effect of breaking the time continuum, then I'll gladly take less-flashy moves from the Monk :P

On that note, it's called priestess. Why not monkess? :cute:

Actually, it would be called a Nun. In comparison, both Catholics and Budhists have monks (male) and nuns (female).

As long as the shoulder pads aren't too big and the armor she gets not to bulky looking, I will like this image.

Something like that, I'd imagine. That one girl just pulled out a lightsabre for no reason and I started laughing my ass off :o

That was Felicia Day. Currently she is doing voice acting for Guildwars 2 as Zojja: an Asura. Just a FYI and I haven't read all the posts to see if anybody had mentioned it. ;)

Very close to what I was thinking. Though I would have added more of a buddhist monk image. Less skin

posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come.
If you look at modern consoles and look at their configuration, you will notice that they are going the way of being more like "specialized computers" than a box with a basic processor and only enough memory to save a game. With the current technology of solid state drives being introduced and practical now, it is more likely that consoles will evolve into something more like computers, but for gaming only. Thereby allowing for more eventual afordable "gaming computers". At least, this is my honest prediction and observation of the technology. ;)
