EDIT: For fear of my short reply not properly signifying what I was indeed knowledgeable about what I was and was not, and the prospect of a such a possibility irrevocably festering ludicrous images of a supposed idiocy on my own behalf in this gathering or like-minded, I shall hereby lengthen my reply substantially by stating that I was in fact aware of the previous statement.
My apologies. Had I been aware that you were aware that I wasn't aware that you were aware of that fact, I wounldn't have tried to help you be aware of something that you were aware of in the first place.
Feels bad when ya accidentally reply like people who were considered flamers? I have been there done that. -

One thing I do know is I do not want her to have whatever freaky image you posted in the OP. And if that's the side-effect of breaking the time continuum, then I'll gladly take less-flashy moves from the Monk
On that note, it's called priestess. Why not monkess?
Actually, it would be called a Nun. In comparison, both Catholics and Budhists have monks (male) and nuns (female). -

Very close to what I was thinking. Though I would have added more of a buddhist monk image. Less skin -

Dec 21, 2009DiabloFoggie posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come.If you look at modern consoles and look at their configuration, you will notice that they are going the way of being more like "specialized computers" than a box with a basic processor and only enough memory to save a game. With the current technology of solid state drives being introduced and practical now, it is more likely that consoles will evolve into something more like computers, but for gaming only. Thereby allowing for more eventual afordable "gaming computers". At least, this is my honest prediction and observation of the technology.Posted in: News

Oct 8, 2009DiabloFoggie posted a message on Auras to Return in Diablo III?Well, the "auras" could be considered like mantras or prayers like a REAL budhist monk does. Considering that, in the martial arts (even standard BOXING is considered a martial art), it requires a type of trained concentration to achieve maximum combat effeciency. I would RATHER see this on a KNIGHT-like character, but Blizzard will do what they want with it.Posted in: News
I do agree that a monk should not have a sustained kind of aura, leTjuhl -

. You are right in one aspect. I am a mediocre player, but not lazy. I play to enjoy what I feel is enjoyable to me. I never said anything to keep you from having PK'ing at all. I only said stuff to limit your targets. Being the equivilant of a cyber thug in the game, whether on the receiving OR GIVING end, is not my idea of fun. I've had my fill of ears already. Mostly TAKING in D1.

What do you mean "zero competition"? The loot drops were pretty random in MP in D1 and D2 so one never knew what they would get. As of the PK'ing issue again, the only competiton would be between the 2 players, or more, not who killed the boss first or what not. If you think about it the competiton would increase because you would be only dealing with EXPERIENCED PK'ers.......hmmm....."EXPERIENCED PK'ers"?... That's what it's about. YOU WANT EASY KILLS!!! Diablo forbid you from having easy PK'S. Diablo ALSO forbid random PK'ing rampages going from MP game to MP game. Especially if hackers start running amok again and Blizzard has to play catch-up all the time to hinder the hackers. So why not let us that don't want to have deal with random PK'ers have the option to enable or disable those features? Or least not want to have to deal with it YET.

By having an anti-PK setting and enabling the PK feature, you are acutally INCREASING your risk of PK'ers coming into your game. Plus you would be able to more easily find people in the community that acutally enjoy the risk. Like I said before, if so many people enjoy PK'ing I don't think there will be a problem. Besides, I myself could make chars where one I could have just regular MP and one for PK'ing if I wanted. I don't want to be FORCED to do ANYTHING in the game and loosing hard earned loot. If I don't want the risk, I want to be able to choose. Is it that difficult. All games have to change to a certian extent in order to be viable to todays gammers. If an anti-pk feature IS viable then why not include it? If it is not, then Blizzard can decide that and not us.

To counter question, why wouldn't you be able to accept that people might NOT want to be PK'ed once every 2 days and how do you think that EVERYBODY would set the anti-pk setting? ESPECIALLY if there are so many people really wanting to have the thrill of random PK'ing into the game? If so many people DO enjoy the aspects of PK'ing, then there would be alot more games than you say that would be open to such. Again I'm not trying to remove the aspect from the game. Only have things where if people do NOT want the risk they should not be forced to endure it and have bitter experiences in the game. Another option would be to set up PK'ing PvP servers for this, though a more expensive option for Blizzard.

Again, I don't want to take it way from the guys who WANT to PK. I just want a way to keep it out of MY Multi-Player, and anybody else that doesn't want the choice, if I don't want it. If PK'ing is so popular I'm sure you guys wouldn't have trouble finding MP games set up for it.

I'm 37 and played the D1 DEMO when it came out before the game did. Trust me you are just a youngin' compared to some of the fan base. Which is why (1.) I don't rage at Blizzard just because "things don't look right". I realize this is just entertainment and not worth getting my "depends" in a wad over it. Discuss it like mature adults and they may actually listen. Scream and cry, well, somebody needs to have their diapers changed i think. I and I don't care how old ya are either. Whiners and complainers deserve a diaper change. Not a valid hearing.
