D2 wasn't THAT short unless you are one of those power players that keeps going until you beat the game. That spoils the fun, IMHO. If it's TOO big they might need more than one DVD to squeeze it on. Plus it would move out any release date they MAY have had internally. Oh well, this may take longer than DNF!! :D

    why no healer???
    it is a coop game.

I would call that either a "priest" or "cleric" mostly because in the D1 Expansion it had a monk class, but was more combat oriented.

As of the "Amazon" issue, a Hunter class would be ideal because you can have the same properties as the former Amazon and dual gender it. If you stick to the lore of Diablo, then the Rogue class as well would remain female only. Unfortunatly, no go there.

A paladin-like class, I think is a must. Though it does not have to be by name.
    http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/classes/paladinhistory.shtml
That's the D2 history of the paladin. It explains who they were.

    Scorceror/Scorceress: No question

    Barbarian: Obvious too

Witch Doctor: prob a replacement for the Necromancers being some of the skills they have seem similar to the former necromancers skills. Either that or the necromancer will have a different skill set than before.

Whithout a the healer class mentioned, that's 5. We shall see.

To change colour and the such? I've never seen them, only things such as being able to alter shadows, quality of the textures, distance of which you see things etc.

That is what I'm getting at. There is ALWAYS a brightness setting and occationally a contrast, but I don't remember being able to ajust the COLOR or depth.

Acutally, and this is MY opinion, the color level was brighter in D2 than in D1. I feel it was because of the environments that varied on D2: outdoor vs. indoor. Yes it was still darker, but how about a comprimise: Leave the outdoor scenes, unless rainy or something, "colorful" and the dungeons the shades of "gothic gray" that everybody is screaming for? Simply a suggestion.

MY suggestion was that this kind of color correction, gamma, etc. would be built into the game itself. I don't know how much trouble it would be, but if somebody has and ear of the blizzard developers they COULD suggest it like I am an get opinions. ;)

My idea is this: How about a color control system in the graphics setting? Just a thought.

I haven't read the whole thread so IDK if somebody has said this or not. Hellgate:london is P2P for its expansions, skill additions, class additions or whatever it may be. If you don't P2P, you are still entitled to the multiplayer, singleplayer, and patches, but nothing else. They did their own little poll and it showed that people didn't mind doing this.

On the other side of the coin is Guild Wars. The most popular MMO thats FREE to play online. PvP is great even without PKing people. The graphics, now getting dated, IMHO are actually a little more crisp than WoW though WoW has more content. Plus when you just want to take a break from the game for a while, it's still not costing you other than what you paid for the game initially. They have succeeded with this and have showed that a NON-P2P game can do great and continue to do great. Even with all the "punks", hackers, and just plain "noobish" people that play. So you see, Diablo 3 can be either or depending on what is being acomplished. If it's a mmo, then I would say P2P. If it's not and just has online multiplayer, then no I would not like it to be P2P. Just a little insight.

What undeniably terribly horrifically flawless logic.

Acutally it is. If it weren't those adults, as kids, thinking about how THEY would like to be able to see in games and how to do it, we wouldn't have the games of today. I mean, how OLD are the blizzard guys that make these games?. It's entertainment now and big money if one suceedes. Pick a big name from gamming industry and you'll see. :)

Retribution;277327']What makes you think you're so specially entitled to enjoying the game anymore then us? Maybe we should petition to ban adults from playing. It's about as possible and legal as banning children from playing the game. Since they cannot restrict a group of people based on Sex/Race/Age. The system where they ask for age or credit card is flawed because it is indirectly related to age., anyway of direct restriction would probably cause some problems.

Don't you hate it when an adult comes in, and just because they see some flaw in your gaming style they go "ZOMG LOOK FUCKING KID GET OFF MY GAME/INTERNET, FUCKING NOOB FUCKER GET OFF!"? It get's annoying. Although i find it easy to simply switch games to Private, adults seemingly cannot do this and as a result; incessantly make threads asking Blizzard to ban children from Battle.net.

Don't go throwing your ESRB rating of "M" at us, you know that has no real value. It's just information that parents and children and adults alike can take into consideration.

    So, yay or neigh.

If you think I'm 100% serious in this thread, it's just a spoof on the floodings of threads on banning children from D3 i have been seeing.

I just threw in a moderately thought out argument that is more likely then not, full of holes that will probably get me flamed.

Because if it weren't for Adults like us playing, you wouldn't have the games you do today. Though I do agree, it's a game that EVERYONE can play.

BTW, I bet your mommy didn't ready what you typed. Otherwise, I don't think it would have been posted. :D

For me, WoW was too much if a Grind fest. I got bored with it quickly. As of its P2P, well its an MMO and was designed for P2P and that's fine. I just don't want to see Diablo go that route. I admit it would be interesting, but probably wind up being SoS regardless what they put into it. I played EverCRACK for a while and learned if you don't wanna be fat then either go out into the back yard and play or stop eating. I like something I can put down and come back later to that doesn't cost me anything.

Random PKing is what kept me out of Diablo 2 multiplayer. I'd rather be challenged to a duel or something and have the chance to accept or decline than random PKing.

Guild Wars does NOT have a monthly fee and if there are kiddies you don't want to deal with, you don't have to group with them. Even put them on ignore. Just group with people close to your own age and yer fine.......usually. ;)

posted a message on ‘Diablo III’ Producer Justifies Controversial Art Direction: ‘Color Is Your Friend’
If I may, as somebody who goes back to the first diablo demo and has beta tested Diablo 2 and its expansion, give an opinion that actually sees both in what everybody is saying. For one, we have to remember that even though it is BLIZZARD that is making it, the original crew who MADE the diablo franchise what it is no longer works for them. IMHO they are probably more influenced by WoW, as #3 is being accused of looking, than the original Diablo franchise. I can tell by the color schemes, I do like them btw, and the way the 3d rendering of the Barbarian and it's armor KIND OF reminds me of Warcraft 3 or WoW. I do see some of the same style in it whether we like it or not. To me, as long as the coloring fits the enviroment, I have no problem with it. For example: dark, gothic colors in dungeons while maybe more vibrant ones in the forest.I don't think they are taking away that much from what Diablo was by making a few changes. I like the idea of storage bags. What I would like to see is a FULL bag be able to be moved from the players inventory to their stash. Not only that and like others have suggested, make it accessable to your other characters on the same account. Also a skill bar idea instead of only having 2 skills maybe available at a time could be considered simply a evolvment of the game. Not copying WoW or GW for that matter. One thing I would LIKE to see, and I didn't see if anybody had suggested it, but why not make an integrated character backup system instead of having to depend on 3rd party systems to do this? We get viruses. Machines cash. So why not have a backup system for hard worked-on characters? That's all I can think of at this time and stop hating each other. Blizzard ignores hateful opinions and listens to constructive ones.
