    What I said is that the overall feeling of striping the game of it's previous elements is concerning.
    The half ass reply of Bioshok doesn't help one bit in relieving my troubled mind.
    And all this yammering is getting old without specific to the point facts.
    Overall I'm troubled but I prefer them to release 1 big focused sum of one aspect of the game (like pvp/pk) without us having to collect here and there tidbits of info and making a conclusion of our own (and i'm not happy he post in wow forum these info)

    I can sympathize. I do wish that they would release more information about the game.

    However, it's not going to happen. I'm no game-analysis adept, but there's a trend that Blizzard games, in particular, will stubbornly hold onto most of their secrets until the game is released. Actually, what the hell am I talking about? I don't know. Is what I said previously correct? This is the first time I've been overlooking the procedure prior to the release of a Blizzard game, so the above is hypothetical at best.

    Don't sweat it. Anything posted in the WoW forums is an absolute lie and fabrication, even if a Blizzard Employee said it.

    Anyone remember "You will not be able to kill Illidan in Black Temple"?

    Probably referring to Warcraft, has to be the most embarrassing joked about game in existence.

    Is Warcraft seriously that lame? :confused:

    Doesn't comfort me at all... Blizzard Irvine is the ruiner of all things good.

    Really? I heard the other way around.

    After all Diablo 1 wasn't something that Blizzard did, instead the idea spawned by a bunch of schoolguys who thought this was a great idea of a game they wanted to play (Bill Roper being one of them). So once they got to Blizzard North they did just that and Diablo was released.
    Now Diablo 2 was also released by Blizzard North (Not by Blizzard!) but in 2003 around 30(!) people left Blizzard north due to an argument about a game and the only clue we got of what it was, was apparently that it was a "Blizzard North kind of game" (Diablo 3 perhap?). So with all those people out of the company they soon had to shut down Blizzard North and remember when they said they had to redo Diablo 3 from the very start? Yeah I think this was the reason, the guys that currently do Diablo 3 actually have NOTHING to do with the Diablo series. Even in the last interview the devs talks about Diablo as "When we played Diablo we realized..." I mean common, realized what? I thought you were the ones making those games?? If you did, you should know all this already!

    Blizzard were never upset that Blizzard North created a game that strayed to far from the franchise, it was the other way around! Blizzard wanted a game that looks WOW and the guys at Blizzard North didn't like it so they left and made their own company.

    So to sum it up quickly, the staff who made Diablo 1 and 2 left Blizzard completly and left was only the staff who made Starcraft and Warcraft. So what happends? Yeah, Diablo 3 looks like Warcraft. So there you got your answer to all of this, now let's just hope they hear our prayer.

    I call BS!

    that just means that the new team knows nothing about Diablo games. they're still thinking in their WoW state of mind. the Diablo series is as much competitive as it is cooperative, if not more.

    that said I love the argument and vote that PK stays.

    PK? How is PKing competitive? While I agree that the system is fine as is (it is fun to randomly kill one another for fun, screwing around), I am adamantly against PK.

    I want to play with players at my level. I want to play in private games. I want to keep people I don't know out of my games. That's what those features are for first and foremost.

    As an added bonus they work pretty good against PK prevention.

    Learn to use them, you're gaming experience will be 100 times better.

    Playing with characters your own lvl is fine and all, but it restricts friends from entering your game to say hi, or to bother you when they're bored, et cetera. I always hated it when I tried to enter a friend's game in boredom, and then there was some password (lvl restriction would be similar to this).

    Private games defeats the purpose of PLAYING ONLINE.

    I want to play with people I don't know. Otherwise, I would play single player.

    I see the light. Those damn level 12's need to stop PK'ing those poor innocent level 97's. It's just not right. *Eye roll.*

    Fact is, PK is about killing. Nobody is stupid enough to pick a fight that they can't win. And if they are, then it's there own fault. But for those of us who get picked on at 12 by the 97, it's not fair nor is it right nor is it what Diablo 2 was designed for. PvP is fun, and it's part of D2, but PK is about picking on people weaker then you and getting jollies from it. Diablo 2 isn't about picking on people, and from what I understand, Diablo 3 is about cooperation, not picking on people.

    Then again, that's just how I see it. maybe if I was one of the few PK'ers then I'd see it differently. See the fun of killing all those level 12's. The joy in ruining the game for everyone else. Make myself feel manly by making little kids cry that there HC character just died.

    On a side note: Say you joined a game and it's your first game. You make it public, hoping to make some friends online. Is it your fault that you made it public and got killed the moment you hit level 9? (That's why the Diablo 2 world is shrinking. Scaring people away.)

    Seems a bit radical. And that's an understatement. T_T

    posted a message on What entirely new character class would you like to see in D3?
    *This is my subjective and biased view of Diablo II characters*
    Diablo II
    Sorc = Mage
    Zon = Ranged
    Barb = Brute Force
    Paladin = Justice
    Necromancer = Dark Arts
    Assassin = Ninja
    Druid = Nature
    Diablo III
    Brute Force = Barb
    Dark Arts = Witch Doctor [+exotic feel]
    Mage, Ranged, Ninja, Nature and Justice are each missing.

    Perhaps they could mix Ranged+Nature, Ninja+Mage, Justice.
    Those seem to be cool combinations. :cute:

    Learn to read, good sir. I said monks are generally used as healers but if they aren't then he would have to play the role of the Holy Warrior. But, seeing as how the word "Monk" isn't very intimidating I doubt they would name the Holy Warrior a Monk.

    Learn to read? What the hell? I read what you wrote, that's why I posted what I did.
    Seriously though, Monks have never really been healers. Their fighting style is hardly that of a "Holy Warrior". It's Shaolin. Anyways, they would have to come up with a different name, as female monks are nuns, not monks.
