Hey Ducha how's it going? I look at this for posts most days, as Venom would say lurking, but posts are not what they were in the buildup to the release of the game.

Hydra is easily the most boring build and requires the staff to have two hydras. Why did Blizzard nerf Channeling moves and buf Hydra...Screw Hydra, it's so bad it's pathetic. Wizards are taking slap after slap with these updates...Whatever time to move on to an actually good toon. -_-
You would prefer having your attacks Nerf'd so that elites can chase you back to the way point while you fruitlessly pick away at them with a hundred attacks? That's how it was when the auction house was still in action. Stick and run is a great tactic, but it got old fast.

It's a trade show job, we have loads of them in Vegas and companies who do the shows often hire pretty girls to get peoples attention to come to the booth and sign up for stuff or get product info.

LOL! That's my one expensive hobby. When I first started out buying equipment a salesmen at one of the photography stores warned me, his words still resonate through my head. "You know there is no such thing as a budget in photography" boy was he right.

Right you are MonkManiac I was short on details (since appended above), I had to run to a meeting so that's what I get for trying to create a thread with limited time. No reflection shield, we shot on the Las Vegas strip; the ones with over exposure were mostly at The Palazzo where a sun roof beamed in sun and it reflected heavily off the floor. I ran with them because of time and it reduced need for post production such as spot removal type work. Highlight tone priority mode reduced some of the washout :/ but the people looking at these aren't photographers or have a trained eye such as yours.

There were however no lens flares, what looks like lens flares such as the light in the water in one pic, is actually a light in the water. Some of he other lights which might be construed as lens flares are lights heavily impacted by a strong boca from shots at f/1.8 and f/1.2, the Vegas strip is all about lights and they are everywhere. Even the over-sized colorful balloons photo that appear to have a flare on the legs was the result of a shiny display behind me reflecting on her, I did not have time to fix that unfortunately.

The equipment used was a Canon 5D Mark III using first a EF85mm 1.8 USM, then a EF50mm 1.2L USM, and last an EF24-70 2.8L USM. Some of the latter shots included a Speedlight 580EXII using a Gary Fong disfuser.

    Cheers and thanks!

I need some help here, a dear friend of mine is trying to get a professional public facing job and needs to submit professional quality photos for it. Essentially she will be doing trade-shows here in Vegas handing out promotional materials so she needs to be attractive in a business environment.

We did a photo-shoot over the weekend but she isn't sure which to submit for the job.Anyone who sees this and can spend a moment up-voting the pictures they like best of her would be helping out immensely to help determine which shots are good candidates.

Here is the link, just click on the image you like and thumb up the one you like best.

Here is one of the photo's of her.

About the photo-shoot, shots were taken on the Las Vegas strip at the Palazzo and The Wynn using available light and some flash. Some the over-exposure shots were used simply because the stance of the model and lack of time to reshoot.

Went to lunch with coworkers today and by chance sat next to Nicholas Cage and Carrot Top. The lady talking to them I think was annoying them, my coworker was a bit star struck as well, that's me leaning out of the picture so she could get her shots. In fact she stole my seat when I went to the restroom hence why I have a purse next to me. I think that purse matches my my black attire well.

Nice Venom, that would be perfect to mount a GoPro on!

I wish I could mod them to look like the spinning fire sticks from super mario! Much more appropriate.

    I'd work with that LOL!

So I finally got RoS and began playing after a very long D3 sabbatical starting with the barbarian and now on the demon hunter, I would like to thank the Gods for the following:

    • That auction house abomination is gone! I'm actually finding good loot for the first time since I first played D3!
    • The demon hunter FINALLY has some teeth to his/her attacks! (gives me hope for the wizard)
    • Yaaaaaa a campaign mode for leveling up!
    • I'm glad :ban: Jay Wilson :ban: is finally out of the Diablo picture! IMO he was what hosed it to begin with and his lame stewardship ultimately got me to quit playing the game, if you ask me he made it for himself and didn't give a rats ass who else liked it. Now it's actually feeling good again :) yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
My only humble request to the Gods now is someone at Blizzard realizes those stationary pink spinning arcane lasers are so out of place, there is something just aesthetically wrong about them! They feel like they belong in an old school 1980's arcade game such as Robotron IMO

    I now digress.

I was aiming for the dragonfly but it was pure luck that shot was in focus. I had the camera in high-speed drive mode, with AI servomotor (center focused with 9 point expanded focus assist) using a 50mm lens. It was hell keeping that thing in my sight, the only reason I got the shot was the dragonfly kept flying in the same basic area for about 30 minutes giving me a lot of chances LOL!

That's funny (painfully so)! I learned a painful lesson today as well.Even when your camera is setup for fast action photography, dragonfly's are a royal pain in the ass to capture in mid-flight. 160 photo's, 1 good shot. That and I got sun burned trying get this picture because I live in the damn desert :D

posted a message on Do you mostly play solo or in a group?
Solo when I do play, most people I've played with like to either rush through maps or go off doing their own thing. Then I remember why I liked playing solo in the first place.
