Right you are proletaria, and the names you list also show the huge diversity in styles and sounds that made great music great. I'm not so surprised at the cookie cutter bands out there today, but I am stunned at how many singers sound so similar. I didn't think it possible, but the list in the mainstream is shamefully huge. The other thing I find sad is the lack of patience found in the top rated music as well, everything is so rushed.

One of the most bad ass songs in rock history is The Who's, Eminence Front, you just doesn't see that kind of patience often in music anymore, a measured approach to music like this adds so much presence.

    Tool has that presence

Perseid meteor shower was appearing in Las Vegas's the north east skies but unfortunately my deck faces south, none the less I gave it a go. Out of 2223 shots I captured 2 meteors which I had a laugh about (well I wasn't planning on camping outside overnight for this when my deck is 5 steps from my bed); still the two videos are pretty cool.

Edit: Also compeltely aggree with the scaling issues. It's not a nice linear difficulty increase, of even a curve.

Its a line, with sudden WTF spikes all over the graph. When you can kill Butcher consistently in one try, but elite minions can drop with jsut the right affixes and kill you 20 times in a row without losing more than half their health, that feels like bad design. It just feels like lazy designing.

The fact that no ammount of skill overcomes the problem, makes it a gear check situation again. Only, its checking for a level of gear far beyond what is required by the rest of the act's content, including bosses. Feels sloppy.
Exactly it feels sloppy is right.

Damn straight they were! Mine were always EFN

You know what I love about people in-game D3?
How they complain about how much the AH ruins the game. When I see someone typing it, I just tell them to stay off that god forsaken thing. That is when the rage-fest begins, and they say that "F no, I need to use it to progress".
Funny I haven't gone to AH once yet and don't really plan to.

I have friend named Jack; does that count?!?!

PS No I don't have a friend called Jack.
It did until it didn't :D

I think you're just used to playing the far easier Normal difficulty with all 5 classes by now. I actually didn't realise how easy the bosses kill you in Nightmare and onward tbh...maybe because I always dodged their attacks; dunno.
I just want the game to scale more evenly like D2 did and for the silly pink arcane laser beams to get dropped from the game. If Blizzard won't do that, then they need to play Bee Gees Stayin' Alive in the background to make scenery proper.

Vegas, I think you are needing to upgrade your gear a bit, I also hit a wall in nightmare and had to buy some gear, no more than 150k gold in the AH and finished nightmare and hell with that with a few minor upgrades along the way... Inferno it's a whole new thing though, act 2 is impossible and I finally understood the concept of "enrage timers" those fallen were EVIL!! ¬¬

I just need to dance, dance, dance

My family always kept dogs growing up. When I eventually started spendign time around cats, I was always amazed at how graceful and acrobatic they are. :)

Awesome weekend so far. Hanging out with Dad today. Friday night, we had a late birthday get together for one of my friends. We went to Bogart's in Cincinnat and watched Santigold. It's the first time I've seen an act that major in a smaller, bar type of venue. She seems so crazy and happy, and her energy is just contagious. They are actually pretty funny too. At one point, they run a track with just base, keyboard and a drum machine for backup. The guitarist and drummer dissapear off stage and come back dancing around in a horse suit. LOL!
Have a great rest of the weekend succubus

My family once saved a street cat and spent a few grands on his treatment... Anyway that cat (a male btw) recovered, then one day he was frightened of something and i happened to be next to him, so in a flash, he jumped on the wall and from the wall, leaped in mid air onto my face. I caught him with my both hands really fast and grounded him to the ground and put him between my feet, he plunged his claws into my knees but thankfully my face remained in tact xD Anyway i really had to hold him there untill he calms down, even though he pissed himself, but atleast he didnt rip my skin off when i let him go... My knees were bleeding lots of blood down to my feet it was gruesome lol... Oh and another time i had to put him in a cage because he just had to go to the vetrenary so he kept scratching and clawing my hands and i was bleeding all over, i just oculdnt let him go because it would seem as if all those wounds would have been for nothing, so i kept on struggling with him untill i forced him into the cage. It was all in the facor and good of the cat. Today he lives a hppy life with us and he loves me the most because i am very nice to him and he still udnerstands that i am the boss :P

I like reffereing to cats and dogs as he/she. I forgot to mention that this cat went through several traumas in his life and that's why sometimes he loses it. But with careful attention, he gets back on track.
Ferrell or stray cats get like that. I raise my cup of coffee to you in homage of your epic battles.

Still moving, won't have computer in new house until Tuesday :( until then I come to the old place to check mail, DF's, etc.

I always knew our cat had mad ninja :ninja: skillz but he got me good this time. The top of the armoire at the condo became a favorite perch for the cat. We figured out after a while he was launching from the bed's foot-board but this time I'm not so sure how the hell he got up there because the jump is about 7 feet from either point.

Got some long exposure night shots from the back yard, need to work on my settings. I had to put the camera into bulb mode and give it a 2 minute exposure at ISO 200 to get this. I'm thinking future ISO 400 to 600 for 30 seconds to 1 minute to keep the stars from blurring as the earth turns.

Also, still loving this game. I don't understand all the criticism at all. This has completely pulled me in and it's already the msot time I've invested in a game in years.

Seriously! They complain about the story line and acting but then bizarrely say D1 and D2 were far better O_O
D1 was made 16 years ago, the entire thing was 15 levels of dungeons in from 1 town straight to hell in 256 bit color mode! D2 was a great expansion on it but comes nowhere near what D3 is.

I have no idea what these complainers were expecting? Act 3 in D3 is so fricken epic, it's like being actually in the LOTR ROTK battle for Minis Tirith! How can one not like that?!

Nice selections, to victory ! Like we were talking about earlier, sending the extra PC was not too much but after all we went through to no avail, to not go forward in my mind would have been wrong. It would have been like dangling a big cookie at you only for you not to be able to eat it in the end. I hate endings to stories like that
