If you read the entire post correctly, I doubt it affects solo play much. I mean in all honesty, which solo build rely's on self healing skills?
The meta wont change much while 50% of the sets in the game are total garbage at the same time LoN being nothing but a thing to house..4 gr builds maybe. 4! Out of a game that you can make dozens per character skill combinations that make sense. All of those should work in a sense but...here we are.
The nerf to some damage buffs can easily be reworked/coded to affect groups and not solo in the nerf, such as "for each player this buff affects, its impact is lowered by 50%". This means that for a 2 player group, the buff provides 50%, 3 player is 25% and 4 player would be 12.5% while still allowing a 100% buff increase for solo. I am not sure they will do this from the start, so we may have to go a single season without that coding, but I expect it by season 8.

I got higher with the WW set, as always it is going to be based on RNG and which items drop for you. If fully optimized, the new WW set will get you 4-5 GR levels higher.

With the new rings (names are slipping my mind atm) I was able to clear GR45 using Leap Quake. I am sure others have gotten higher than that as well. I think people are underestimating the power of the rings and other legendary off slot affixes that have been added.
I used Schaefers for the lighting % as well as lightning % on my bracer, and used CoTA with the lightning coefficient that has them absorb 50% of damage dealt to me. This allowed me to dodge the need for unity.

Worth being noted though, I sort of like the idea of having CC and CD tied to your main stat, opening items up for things such as resource reduction and other rolls. Have no idea how balanced that would be though, think it could possibly make the game a bit trivial. I also know they have been debating having CC and CD tied to level and having a max of 35%/350% when you hit lvl 70. I would be perfectly fine with this as well as it means you are more likely to have an effective ring or ammy rather then requiring it has main stat, CC, CD, and a socket to be BIS or near BIS.

Let me try to clarify a little more for you.
With more CC and CD, you will see more damage on crits, however, if you replace your main stat with CC or CD, you will see a lower damage number, but, you will crit more often or hit harder with your crits, so the game is estimating that you actually proc your crits such as your % suggests. Rule of thumb for every item is Primary>CC=CD>CDR(AS if CDR not needed). This is not exact, but it is a base rule of thumb.
In some instances, if you are running low on CC or CD in other slots such as your gloves (Gotta love RNG) that is when people often drop their primary stat on a ring for the CC or CD in order to maintain a 1:10 ratio. This is typically negated now with paragon levels which allow a much easier path to create that 1:10 ratio. For a target, most people aim for 40% CC and 400% CD, but most usually end up around 38%/380%.

While also saying their internal goal is 3-4 months.
They understand patch 2.1.2 and season 2 were a mistake, forced on by whining fans about season 1 being too long. They will not make that mistake again.

I personally do not understand this, some of you people need to put the thinking cap on and challenge yourselves. Barbs have, are, and will always be a competitive class. Some of you need to cut the qq and learn to play.
Also worth noting, the nerf to IK was not a nerf, it was intended to make it a competitive set with Raekor while our new WW set shines at the top. Why make a new set if it simply is not going to be good? Reworking a set and having it not be the best is one thing, but adding brand new sets should mean that set gets some time to shine so that many people test it out and give appropriate feedback. Right now Barbs have 4 sets that can get them into the GR45 area, and they have 3 sets they can crack GR50-55 with, and with the new rings and other items, it is very likely the best of the best who actually understand our class find a way to reach GR65 or greater.

This embodies everything that is wrong with the community currently.
Seasons will be tied to patches, and are going to be tied to new content. That was the goal all along, but people whined that season 1 was running to long, so blizz rushed a mediocre patch 2.1.2 instead of just launching their intended 2.1.2 which is our soon to be released 2.2
In the end, fans need to just stfu and enjoy what blizz gives them, you do not pay anything monthly to get this new content. If you want to kill a bunch of monsters and look for that new piece, do it, nothing is stopping you. But if you want to whine and B**** incessantly like immature brats, you are just embarrassing yourselves.
I for one love the idea of new patches coming out every 4-5 months (intended goal) and the new season being attached to that (intended goal). This 4-5 month window is perfect for the grinder, the casual, and the newbie.

I understand all of this, but what every seems to be missing is that season 2 was a mistake, lead on by the fans and their QQ for a new season. Blizz wanted to wait until patch 2.2 to launch Season 2, but everyone kept on whining non stop that they wanted a new season, so be happy you got your wish, and now let them run their game.

This is false, goblin packs have spawn rates, therefore you at least need to clear the current level you are on to ensure you are not missing your spawn. If simply going to a new floor, you are correct, but the proper method is to at least clear the floor you are on as spawns have already been applied, and it would hurt to miss out on your chance.

Common sense is something taught, not innate (especially in a video game).
You learned your Diablo 3 common sense by playing a lot of Diablo 3 or reading, researching, and asking questions, so why is it an issue if our OP is doing the same thing now? What if the OP is new to D3 with maybe 2-3 months of experience only. He may not understand that you want to base your damage off of elites as that triggers onto the Rift Guardians, meaning that the SoJ actually gives him a near 38% boost should he decided to go with a physical build.
Word of advice, stop being a rude, and put yourself in the shoes of the OP. Not everyone is a seasoned pro with Hundreds of hours of game play and research behind them. In fact, you should feel honored that someone is willing to come to this site, a website you use to post something, and ask questions regarding the game. Instead you troll around and waste a solid opportunity.

Why would they do that? No offense but your comment makes me believe you love free handouts.
The way the ring is implemented it makes you at least put some effort into tooling your gear properly, which is the point of a hack and slash rng gear grinding game btw.

I am highly interested in this build, but seem to lose spirit instantly, what is the key item to maintain spirit?
Thanks,
Demonmonger
PS. Would love to see a equipment and stat breakdown if you would be so kind as to share
