Some great ideas and I would gladly welcome those as well. Blizzard should see that it is everything that makes loot and builds more exciting that keeps players engaged rather than adding nice but irrelevant additions like set dungeons and challenge rifts.Quote from Demonmonger»

ToBeRuined posted a message on Runeword System TopicPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionAlthough they could simply add couple of gems like
Jade Relic
Opal Relic
Sapphire Relic
As rare as consumables.
These could be placed in sockets to form interesting gemwords with normal gems:
Opal Relic + Ruby + Jade Relic- Double your life generation
Then you would have to decide, in which gear you place that ruby. And in some cases, are you willing to sacrifice a leg gem socket for a gemword.

Bagstone posted a message on What do you think about the new Challenge Rifts mode?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionSo... I came back from travel and started a bit late, and the time was already around 2 minutes for the top spots. I have no idea how you get there. And with such a flawed class/skill set which is even worse than the "play your way", I had no desire to do more than 2-3 runs (and could immediately tell that even with 100 runs I wouldn't beat Wudijo's current #1, not even sure I could get into top 100).
I hope that some of the winners share videos (and/or some of the thought process) that got them to the top spot, because I feel I totally missed something. It's obvious though that CRs are a playing ground in which the usual "gear, paragon, RNG" cop-out doesn't count anymore: #1 in a CR week simply means you're a better player (I find it ridiculous that many people still believe there's no room for "skill" in this game; CRs can disprove that).
For me personally CRs will probably just be a weekly income of bounty mats (and also some nice crafting mats). I hate bounties, so that's a nice bonus. I don't think I'm gonna try to be competitive, ever, unless there's a really fun build out for a week. I noticed there's 2p/3p/4p leaderboards as well; I wished they would choose real 2p/3p/4p groups here. As someone said, it might be fun to have the top clear as CR, which would show people that clearing that GR125 is not just about gear, paragon, and RNG... but that it actually requires a ton of skill, coordination, and game knowledge.

I'm pretty sure it's quite opposite - in season i usually boost on lvl 70 and it seems way faster then lvl 1 rifts.Quote from BlackcurseLT»

Thats the way u do it exept u cant go in a T13 as lvl 1, it can be max T6 and the booster should open so u get "his" T6 and not T6 at "your" lvl 1, but yes 1 cowrun would be enough if booster have a gem of ease.
GL in S11 ^^
lvl70 T6 grants the same exp as lvl1 T6 for low level characters, so you should open at lvl1 if the booster doesnt have much gear to carry you fast.
Anyway i dont get why people want to boost new class to 70 especially when season is 4 weeks away, why not enjoy campaign in NS and discover necromancer ? (this is what i plan to do) -

Metropolis_Man posted a message on Diablo MMO/ARPG?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionI would LOVE to see a well done D3 MMO and would happily cough up $15/month for it. In fact, I would argue that most would prefer that route simply because even if D4 is "better" than D3...how much better could it be if it's not an MMO? It's still going to be limited in its scope. It's going to be very very similar to what we all have been playing forever. But, once you go the MMO route I think the potential and breadth of what they could do is really exciting.

Metropolis_Man posted a message on Okay, who's doing seasons AFTER getting all their stash tabs?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionI absolutely am doing season 10 despite having all stash tabs. I am not a hoarder and never have been...never will be. For me it's just about the challenge of starting over with nothing and seeing how far I can get. If I make it past Conqueror (and sometimes Guardian), then fine.

I do not understand why people want to rush the Necro to 70 myself either, to me it shows why so many people complain about the content, because they flat out do not remember how to even enjoy it, getting so fixated on "end game" for no real reason at all.
1
Greaters really need to be strictly about competition. Leave regular rifts and bounties for where you collect your loot.
Then, stop giving us a set for free, and seasons actually become a fun event for many again.

I think the masses will come back and give Diablo a try, but only once the company shows that they are serious about making Diablo the best in the market again.

The truth is the last thing people want to hear when they sit an complain about something.
In the end, the ultimate truth is that people who constantly complain are never going to be happy, and in their complaints, talk themselves even further out of reason.

You decide which one is in a better situation.

Honestly, speed rifting GR 70 is comparable xp. You can get to a point with each class where you are running GR70 in about 2 minutes, with a 30 second down time, means you are going to farm around 360 billion experience in an hour, but it will take 22-25 GR keys from you.
The downside is that you need to farm far more greater rift keys in order to run an amount of rifts equal to the xp gains from those GR95 group players.
Like others have said, you can absolutely get 1,000-1,200 paragon as a solo player pretty easily and efficiently, but like I have pointed out, the downside and ultimately where you fall behind is more time being required in normal rifts to get keys.
I feel one way to fix this is to simply increase the amount of XP gained in normal rifts when solo.
You run rifts for keys, players that play the meta run them for keys. So if you had a scale of 200% extra xp solo in rifts, 100% if 2 players, 50% with 3 players, and no bonus for 4 players you would start to see solo paragon grinds even out with group farmers as you will be gaining triple the xp as a solo player when farming for all those extra Greater Rift keys that you are going to need.
Lastly, do not have this bonus activate until you are level 70.

I believe that is required in order for the farmstead entrance to spawn.

On level 9 there is a black mushroom. You use that mushroom on the cauldron just outside of town in the event. The cauldron gives you an item that you use with one of the four bodies in town. Each body will drop an item that is used with a different body until you get Wirts Legs Plans. You create the item, get the transmog, then you salvage the item.
If you click in the cows in the order on the note (2,1,3) you will get a cow pet. The cows are located by the cauldron inside of the event.
Hope that helps

But to hold someone accountable for your own expectations makes little sense to me.
If you just take a look at games in general during anniversary events, this event is tops bar none. Most games just give you a small in game boost for 10 days and some form of in game pet. Diablo gave us a rendering of Labyrinth inside of Diablo 3, with a lot of memorable loot, including fan designed loot, on top of that we get two pets, and a pretty sweet portrait. AND STILL this event is going to return each January, which is pretty sweet.
I think people are being over the top with their expectations and need to real it in one of these days to really appreciate what is happening.

If you read the first paragraph of the article you link to us......
That being said, if I remember correctly, patches 2.4.1 and 2.4.2 did not release until closer to 5pm PST. So if it does release today, we have another 4.5-5 hours.
In the end, we know one thing, it will release before Friday, January 6th at 5pm PST in NA
