I don't think that that's enough, honestly. Wastes set is really bad right now.

You cannot ignore TRIPLE REND damage in this scenario. Plus any future items. You have become the most INSIDE the box poster here, you were never like this before, wtf is going on Shapookya?

All blizzard had to do is a stronger and more efficient dimishing return, so sfger lets say 1500 Paragon it gets EXTREMLY hard to gain more paragon levels.

I want a system like this as well, where paragon 1-800 is an almost linear increase in xp, and the exponential paragon increase starts at paragon 801, increasing at a much higher rate than the current rate, heck, maybe even 5x higher.

This limits the need/urge to grind paragon, but does not eliminate its usefulness. Even with all the grinding, the 4 man meta would be around para 1,000 at this point, and only like 1,075 after 2 months. 275 paragon levels is not an insurmountable gap for solo players to meet with GR fishing.

I like the idea, but alot of the "choices" would be ignored and a cookie cutting build would still be the outcome, Personally id like to see the 50 point restriction higher on the current paragon system and possibly for 1 paragon to give 1 point.

Honestly who cares, elitist jerks can do their cookie cutter thing, while the rest of us fun gamers enjoy a bunch of random experiments.

I love a lot of these suggested changes, but above all, what I think needs to happen is that each week should gate how much paragon level can be used inside of a GR. You can continue gaining paragon levels, but lets say you are paragon 350 and week 1 only allows 100 paragon inside of a GR, that is all you can use, end of story. Each week you increase the amount allowed by 100 (100 is arbitrary, it can be whatever the Devs deem reasonable) until the end of the season. If we can expect 3 months, we can expect 13 weeks, meaning that the highest usable paragon would be 1300 paragon during the last week of "the push".

This simply gates the leaderboards to allow the 95% of players that do not bot to actually feel like they are accomplishing something, and it punishes the botters since they will not ban them. Yet the system makes sense in a competitive stand point as well. Almost every leaderboard game has weekly point limits, rating limits, etc.... and many of these games are extremely successful, and I think it would be in D3 as well.

If you pair this sort of progressive gating system with the changes to paragon point distribution above, I feel many people would absolutely fall in love with this game even more so than they are now.

Also, for D3 Xpac 2, which I feel we will get summer of 2017:

    -Removal of Paragon system

-More gated progression, or static runs. ( I want a few items in the game that are equal, to see who truly is the best, not just the luckiest)

-Increase in follower gear slots. ( I love followers for solo play, but feel they are a little drab. Allow them to equip up to 13 items like we can)

-Addition of another follower type (I was thinking that instead of a new class of Necro or Amazon, two old classes in Diablo, they are followers)

-Addition of a new class (I like the idea of a Blood Mage, something that fuels their power off Blood Shards as a resource, and is more of a melee caster)

I have several others, but those are a few I really like.

Thanks for taking the time to put some ideas together. Some of those I really like, but bleu42 brings up some valid concerns. I think it would be nice to have a slider for the TX Difficulty to scale up, let's say it goes as high as your highest gr solo completed. This way you can farm mats and get more Xp. Melting t10 is fun, but that progress bar hardly moves at higher paragon. Overall voted for some of your ideas.

This is absolutely how I would execute Infernal Torment. Much like the Power Creep slider we had in vanilla, but more tuned to the modern style of D3.

posted a message on WD Love? Hate?

At this point, I refuse to play "Meta" it is burdensome, it ruins the game. This game is meant to be fun, thrilling, about killing monsters, and support to some extent is okay, but a full action bar of support doing no damage just is not what any "Meta" of an ARPG should EVER be.

The game should simply limit action bars to allow a single support spell, that is it.

The other option is to remove "infinite" from the system entirely. Because without "infinite" there will not be a need to find every way possible to reach a higher number for ones own ego stroking.

serious, u wont receive the free set on second character?

i rolled a WD thinking its good, but now i am disappointed with it, i was thinking to go DH/Crusader, but now... :/

better farm more death breaths then to do what the guy said here

WD is very very strong, might not be the top individual class, but they are around 3rd in raw power, and they have an absolute place in the 4 man meta due to their strong support.

Why are you disappointed with a WD?

    any advices for me?
its even hard to solo gr 37 :(
You have the gear to do GR 45-50 with relative ease, so my advice would simply be to keep 10 stacks of Soul Harvest up at all times. That is 100% armor, a bunch of mana, and 60% damage reduction.

Also, make sure you are applying both Haunt and and Locust Swarm. you have the right rune for Haunt, but I like to use Pestilence with Locust Swarm, as this will help it spread faster meaning you using that mana less.

Lastly, let your fetish sycophants tank for you, try to avoid being hit by melee attacks that you can easily redirect toward your pets.

Also, I am UBER JEALOUS that you have an ancient sacred harvestor and Lakumba, those are the last two Ancient pieces I am trying to get for my Legacy of Nightmares set.

You must have it somewhere in your stash, probably accidentally socketed in a weapon when you switched items in your stash around or so. Also check your follower. If you don't have a gem, it immediately drops in the next GR you clear (but of course only one of the ones you don't have yet, at random).

Unless there is a bug of course, in which case he should report this issue. But only after he double checks what you mentioned.

For Solo would you still recommend going for leorics crown?

I did not do tests with it solo but the SK can be reached in just under 19 minutes by speed runners. They run starting at lvl 1 though if you switch to campaign around 19 or 20 should be able to reach him in less time. In the end I think it would save you a bit of time or at worst end up being roughly the same either way.
Good cube item though afterward to put in a green gem for that gold to empower gems faster. So I think it is worth it for all players. Faster you get gold not actually trying to just get gold, the faster you can speed level gems in greater rifts, that is always a win!

    Quote from JunoBug»

Doing bounties is better for XP than doing rifts because of the new action combat system. It is multiplicative with all other xp bonuses. So if you average 1.5x action combat you are getting pure 50% more xp per time spent while NOT in a rift.

On the other hand rifts have 100% better chance to get legendaries so might even out in the long run.

Don't be afraid to spend time doing bounties, it will be good.

I have found it best to run bounties/farm dense maps from 1-61 Then craft my lvl 70 weapon with IL reduction and run rifts from 61-70 on Master. I figure I would get around 4-5 legendary from 61-70, which is roughly the same amount you get rifting 1-70 in terms of actual useful legendary items to cube.

Doing pure rifts, solo testing, I level to 70 in around 4 hours, while using bounties/dense maps I was leveling around 3 hours 1-70. This testing was done with a WD on hard 1-61. I figure that melee would be a little bit longer, maybe 30 min, as it is harder to chain the 200-300 kill streaks.
