What kind of penalties should there be? Experience loss? Gold loss? Durability loss? Something entirely different?
How harsh should these penalties be?
Would you prefer corpse runs like in D2, or respawns in town?
I think it is a great idea. I also can't help but think of Zelda: Ocarina of Time though lol, I remember being in Hyrul and at night different NPC's would appear on a a set schedule, skeletons would come out of the ground...man I miss those days, talk about a world that just made you totally feel like you wanted to be there.
Interesting. I was actually playing Ocarina of Time when I made this topic.
I just thought of something neato. If it happens to be storming while you're playing, should lightning be able to strike you and the monsters?
Sounds neat, but it could also be pretty annoying, depending on how it would be implemented.
Imagine this: You emerge victorious after a heated battle against a bunch of monsters, with only a few slivers of health remaining, when... *CRACKAPOW* lightning hits you and you die :/
Would you guys like it if there was more difference between night and day in d3 than there was in d2?
Would you want nigh time to be much darker and spookier?
Would you want different music and background sound effects at night?
Would you want different monsters, events and npcs to show up at night?
Would you like the day to pass faster or slower than in d2?
I was doing a bit of pondering the other day, and it comes to me that there is a slight possibility that Drognan may be in fact a disguised Horazon... could it be?
Unlikely. Drognan adviced you to go into Horazon's arcane sanctuary to find the location of Tal Rasha's Tomb. If he really was Horazon he would have known where it is.
But I do agree that there's more to Drognan than we know. He sometimes says something like: "I have been practicing magic for longer than you could know. I'm older than I look and blah blah..."
Well I think they did say Thousand Pounder wasn't really a boss, but before they went to fight Siegebreaker they said something like "We want to show you now what a REAL boss fight looks like."
Actually, what he said was: "Before we leave you, lets see what a REAL fight looks like." Didn't say anything about a boss.
the thing thats bothering me and i dont thing its medieval is this - the acolyte's robotic hand (cabalist(HGL) ,steampunk or whatever style....reminds of wow style too)

So Blizzard is looking for an art director, how does that affect the release day?

Jay Wilson has never been the art director for Diablo 3.

I think most people will agree that the level scaling in Oblivion was horrible. It pretty much ruined the game for me.

It's not robotic, it's demonic.
