posted a message on What entirely new character class would you like to see in D3?
i would really like to see a spellcaster who does dark magic (ie necromancer) but is a melee character as well, similar to eq's shadowknight. ive always loved playing d2 as a necro but i always wanted to give the enemy a good-old fashioned pounding as well. something else that wood be cool would be like a nature/dark magic character: ranger-necro hybrid of sorts. any thoughts?

i wasnt refering to universal in the world of sanctuary, but in the real world. a warrior can come from anywhere, as can a mage or ranger, but samurai are exclusively japanese. but i certainly wasnt attempting to make a big deal of it i was just pointing out that this is an rpg made by an american company and i would think it best to leave out asian influence lest we turn this into a gw-esque franchise

posted a message on Has anyone ever heard of the game "Fate"?
Fate is without a doubt one of my favorite Diablo clones out there. It's pretty much EXACTLY like Diablo except it has kiddie graphics (which i here is REAL popular right now... lol) and you have a pet. The pet thing's cool cuz it can take stuff back to town and sell stuff for you then come right back to aid in fighting, plus it acts as an extra inventory. It has a ranking system (called fame) and is similar to Diablo 1 as you descend into a dungeon until the final boss. It may not be something that you can get seriously wrapped up in like Diablo, but it is an extraordinally fun and addicting game nonetheless. You can check it out at: http://games.wildtangent.com/fate/

each existing class in the diablo universe is an universal class, whereas samurai is an exclusively japanese class. seeing as how japan is not a nation within the world of sanctuary, that would not work. besides, if you want asian crap go play RO or GW or somethin

Well we've never seen a bard-type class or a type of character that does like illusions, confuses enemies, mind-control..., that sort of thing (for those of you who've played gw think mesmer but darker, more necro-like)

What entirely new character class would you like to see in Diablo 3? This excludes Warrior, Sorcerer/Sorceress, Rogue, Assassin, Druid, Paladin, Amazon, Necromancer, and the Barbarian (already included in D3). I think a monk or cleric would be cool. The monk in Hellfire was kinda lame and probably the closest thing we've had so far to a healer character would be a paladin. So what are your thoughts?

I've heard pretty good things about Loki and Dungeon Siege. I also heard that Dungeon Runnerswas a pretty good game.

Well, I'm trying to find something to hold me over until D3 comes out and Hellgate looked as if it might be an option. I'm currently still playing D2:LoD but I was hoping to find something newer.

I might rent it. The setting seems too post-modern for me but I might give it a try.

Yea that's a little creepy. Just the walking from room to room was a little unnerving. I died they same way JAZZ did: looked it the mirror, saw a creepy girl, and died.

I was just wandering if any of you Diablo fans have played Hellgate and, if you have, if it was worth buying and playing for myself.
