What I think it boils down to is hard counters vs soft counters. Immunities are hard counters and resistances are soft counters. People don't want to be rendered completely impotent because then there really is no point in playing.
Also, the idea of changing the types of monsters you fight is a great one! It would be significantly more work for the developers, but it sure would beat fighting skeletons of every color!
yeah i agree. i think wut would be good in Diablo3 would be if all the monsters had better resistances to things than others, but not completely immune; therefore, it would be hard to kill them but it would actually be possible for anyone.

I decided to make this thread in hopes of bringing people's imaginations to life and discussing the different bosses that they would like to see.
Ill start it off to help others understand what I mean.
Boss type: Undead
Name: Arthur the Forsaken (like a dead King Arthur)
Location: Last boss in dungeon (you can make it like a rare or something if u want)
basically just stuff like that.
ALSO, maybe this can be the place where you post ideas about bosses from the past? wut bosses would u like to see in Diablo III? Of course the animations will be updated, but think about it...:thumbsup:

1) everyone is so excited about it that they quit there jobs just to play it and everyone goes homeless..or;
2) the game is actually a fluke and the customers, with anger, spread anarchy throughout the world until a better version comes out in the next 5 years after the release date.

anyway, even though i REALLY want diablo 3 to come out soon, i doubt its gonna happen. i dont see why it wont be released mid 2010, but i guess we all have our hopes and opinions. as long as they dont rush this, ill be happy.

anyway, the whole thing before about SC2 being pushed back into early 2010 made me think that they just leaked a possible release date for D3. im only saying this bcuz blizz said that the delay of SC2 had no effect on the production of D3. so, if starcraft2 was pushed back TO early 2010, its original release date was probably around christmas. that being said, if D3 was supposed to come out soon after SC2, then my guess is that it will be out b4 the end of this year. once again, im not saying im right; im just speakin my mind.
please correct me if im wrong with release dates and such, i just want my facts straight. =D thanks
