That... would work just as well :/.
Though, then with that you've gotta consider just how much the don't shot it button would have control over.

Jul 23, 2010Zhar posted a message on Focus on Customizable ArmorsEh, I'm not too sure I'm fond of flaming armor. At first glance it would definitely be cool, but after a while constantly being on fire would definitely lost its appeal. The wow factor would die off pretty quickly, and you'd just be left with a visual impediment. I remember back when I used to play Oblivion I made a ring that set my guy on fire so I could just run around being a badass with flaming armor. Was cool for a while, but once the wow factor was gone I never touched that ring again.Posted in: News
Personally, I think it would be much easier on the eyes to just give the armor a red tint (as nalberg suggested), same with electricity (yellow), and cold (blue). -
Jul 23, 2010Zhar posted a message on Focus on Customizable ArmorsAgreed, I'm really hoping we don't just get a couple of high end items to look forwards to, but asstons of them.Posted in: News
Which is why rare and crafted items should be more powerful than uniques in some cases, so you always have a random item to look forwards to, and to search for.
And if something like what nalberg threw in for speculation (badass idea btw dude, I like it :D), we'd have a pretty solid amount of customization and variability between characters. -

I was fully expecting them to go through with Real ID, despite the outcry, but fuck, they proved me wrong :D. -

Jul 5, 2010Zhar posted a message on Left 4 DiabloSame, I really don't want DIII to be like DII where you could use the same tactics with 1-2 skills throughout the entire game and do fine.Posted in: News

Jul 4, 2010Zhar posted a message on Left 4 DiabloOh, fuck me I never even thought of that.Posted in: News
I dunno about it being a unique, I'd definitely envision that kind of mechanic being reserved for a boss fight. Just it reel back in preparation, give you time to run off, then it spew vomit all over the ground.
Hell, the vomit could even function as a movement impediment. Could slow you down when you're on top of the pool, and attract zombies to you if it actually hits you. Would make multiplayer battles REALLY interesting. -
Jul 4, 2010Zhar posted a message on Left 4 DiabloVery true.Posted in: News
Not only that, but if EVERY zombie had it, it would really become a boring and overused mechanic. So yeah... it's probably going to be confined to one specific type of zombie. -
Jul 4, 2010Zhar posted a message on Left 4 DiabloOh, nonono not corrosive like fucking with your durability, I meant corrosive as in giving you temporary -10% armor or something. Course', the attack would be easily avoidable since they're slow zombies, and need to get close to you to vomit (I'm assuming).Posted in: News
I'd love to see the throw up attack attracting other zombies, would really keep you on your toes.
Yar, they had some really interesting mechanics in that game, gonna go play it again later tonight... -

Not saying you couldn't make a "lollerskates I'm a melee DH" build, but for the most part it looks like we're going to be stuck with the ranged archetype.
HOWEVER, we don't know what effect runes will have on her skills, so perhaps some of them will be made into melee versions with certain runes? Just something to consider.

Game balance, last minute content additions, stress tests. SC2 got fuckruppered by balance testing especially, but thankfully that won't be as much of a problem with D3 since we don't have a competitive gaming scene, or the entirety of South Korea backing our game.

All pumped for D3 for years, then Blizz goes and murders my excitement right in the face. Don't get me wrong, I'm probably still going to buy the game (this isn't like one of those faggy "OMGAWD I R BOYCOTT MODERN WARFARE!!! *buys anyways* kinda things), but god damn, doubt I'll stick with it for over a couple months now :/.
edit: Yeah, so scratch that. Read through the AH thing the first time to check out what everyone was raging about, went back, saw the Cauldron of Jordan and the removal of skill points. There goes my plans of purchasing this game \o/.

Oh lawd.
When you intentionally say "LOL I DONE TROLLED YOU!", what you really mean is "Fuck, I don't have a good rebuttal to what was just said, so I'm going to try to salvage this string of dumb posts and make it look like I was trying to play them the whole time. HOW COULD THIS GO WRONG!!?!?!"
And to stay on topic, people die every day, just so happens that she was a used-to-be-celebrity. Doesn't make me care any more for her death, I didn't know her, nor did I think she contributed much to music/the world. Sure, sucks for her family, but I won't lose sleep over it.

"None of us are developers, so we can't discuss anything. Ever. It's all worthless."
Is that what you meant?

All bullshit and no news makes Zhar a sad boy.

If it's just fansite press, then definitely one of the game mechanics we've been waiting on.
If it's larger sites like PCGamer, IGN or other such faggotry, then definitely a beta announcement. Highly doubt they'd bring in anything other than fansite press if they're going on about how badass their latest mechanic is.

Mmm, because it didn't happen after the announcement back in 08', right?

Gonna see a lot of it soon :/.

Naw, it's because they both use health/energy systems.
D3 = WoW.
