Regarding cheating on console. Read the forums on the blizzard site. All they do is hack items and sell them. It's just another auction house. There are a lot of people who request trading. But if they want to know what it will be like. They just need to look on the console forums to see what will happen. Of course items wouldn't be hacked. But trading of Godly Gear would be the end game the same way it was with the auction house.

posted a message on [Idea] Custom Rifts

Hmm. I think I would opt for something a bit simpler. I know there are guys that really get into this stuff, but, I'm not one of them. There are guys that really get into this kind of stuff. Look at all the cool things on the SCII Arcade. They make all kinds of stuff with that engine. But, again, this all seem very complicated and something I'm not inclined to do myself.

What if you could just save the Grifts spawns? After completing a greater rift, Urshi would give you the option to save the spawn. I agree that XP shouldn't be included in these. But, if you could save the maps after you completed it, I might be inclined to redo a Grift. Like a do over. Say you had Grift you completed with 10 seconds over the timer. I would keep this spawn just to see if there was something I could have done better. This would be easier to implement because the UI would be just a list of the 10 or 12 Grift spawns you are allowed to save. Again no XP, since this would just be practice. But I like the concept of practice. Currently D3 is a game of persistence. If you play enough, you will overcome RNG because you are exposing yourself to larger sample size of the loot tables and that item drop you need for your build will happen eventually. And if you play enough you will gain paragon that will add skill points that will make your character more powerful. So rather than persistence being the main driver to the game, some amount of skill could be added. I'm not stating that skill isn't required in the game currently. But learning to deal with certain mob types would be helpful if you could develop some skills by practicing against a saved spawn could help develop some strategies and tactics. Current skills is more or less hand eye coordination and quick decision making. If you could redo a grift, you could definitively know whether your decisions where optimal because you could actually test out "Plan B".

posted a message on What would happen if Diablo 3 Source Code was given to people who truly want to make this game amazing.

This isn't going to happen unless Blizzard sells off the franchise or goes belly up. This is definitely the case for PC. The game requires you to ping the D3 servers. This was probably implemented for the auction house that no longer exists. But you will notice that modding tools were never release. They we for Starcraft and not D3. Why is this? The answer has to do with PvP. Since it doesn't exist there is no reason to allow mods. For Starcraft, maps need to to be created and modded to allow for tournament editions of those maps. These custom maps aren't what Blizzard wants to spend their resources on. Without a good reason Blizzard isn't going to just give away their tools.

They did that with Warcraft and it basically spawned the MMO industry that they never made a cent from.

You can wish, but it is not going to happen.

Well, you still need to confuse/charm Skeleton King (or the minions) so they attack each other. He won't attack them just like that.

Oh yes, he will :) Use max toughness gear, Molten gem and that sort of stuff, so he can't kill you, and just stand in there... he'll continuously cast his attacks, and the cleave-like attack will damage all his adds. It's just a matter of time (and survival, and no thorns damage :P)

You don't need charm or anything like that.

Pretty much if you can tank his swats you just move next to his adds and he will eventually do it with you doing much. This is either the same one or a variation of a standard achievement.

You know something about feats of strength in season 4? I only got "reach lvl 70 in season". but the bar is only 1/3 full so I think 2 left so far...

    Any suggestion?

Feats of strength are generally either special event achievements or archived ones that no longer count toward the active point total. There is no specific quantity for these. The number will vary depending on each players circumstances. The bar means nothing. It is only showing that you made progress not the amount of progress. At the end of the season your journey achievement will be moved to this area.

Guys, seriously, there is no proof Redx is botting, whatsoever! The lights were out most of the video, it was dark. He could have been playing in the dark, no problem. Besides, could have been a lag issue. I'm not buying it, this is a campaign against the clan SoS, led by the twitch-tv-streamers Alkaizerx and Quin69. Wake up!

Um. Dude he left the stream open for hours. The sun came up and he was AFK until he woke up. He then deleted his twitch profile page. He knew the jig was up. He wasn't just a member, he was the clan leader. Immediately gave up that position so that his authorization for the clan wouldn't be locked if Blizzard acted swiftly. If you take the time to watch Quin's archived stream in its entirety, he was just as surprised about the dude doing such a stupid thing. Especially since they wrote the open letter just the week before.

posted a message on What's the easiest class for grifts ?

The easiest has to be Ulianna Monk. I geared up a Monk and with crap gear off blood shards from my DH until I got the set. BTW I have no idea how to play Monk. But after I cleared a GR 25 just to test the set in 4 Minutes, I did a GR 45 the next day in 4 Minutes. The stupid part was that I forgot that my DH had the Bane of the Trapped and Stricken equipped. So the only jewelry sockets I had equipped was a level 50 Golgok.

I did die a lot. 3 times I think, but again, I have no idea what I'm doing. Just punch 3 times, SSS, watch stuff blow up. Dash away and click your Mantra and Epiphany. Then do it again. You can't die during SSS. So the only thing that kills you is running out of spirit because you forgot to click epiphany.

If you push higher, you find out that things can kill you. But you just learn to skip them. I've all ready done a GR 54 and I've done like 10 solo runs with this character. By contrast, I've only done a GR 56 with my DH who had over 300 Hours of play time and geared with near GG Ancient Items. I'm still gearing that Monk to play public games to get my Gems into the 60s. If DH is too tough to complete my journey when they announce Season end. I'm pretty sure my Monk can do it. May last 2 Ancient Items for the Monk are a Fist of Az and the SSS belt. Whatever it's called.

posted a message on Cow Rifts are real, and here's why you should clear the entire thing (+VIDEO)

I just did one this morning. Yeah I did a full clear. There does tend to be a lot of goblins. Not on every level, and not necessarily in packs. But, this has more to do with the amount of floors. You can have a cow rift with 10 or more floors. So yes a lot of goblins per rift, but, overall, about the same amount of goblins per floor. Why did I do a full clear? Didn't care about the goblins. Don't get me wrong, nothing more satisfying than killing goblins. But if you are looking for pools of reflection, there is always a pool at the corner just before the floor exit. It isn't always a pool of reflection, but it seems to be about a 40%ish chance that it will be. I'm pretty sure I got 4 this morning. Of course I entered a 54 GR right after the Cow Rift and lost my pools because I got attacked by 3 Elite Pack in a Keep Depths map. But for me, it's all about the Pools of Reflection.

posted a message on hi, cubing questions here

I'm pretty sure the Devs wanted to keep some integrity to Hellfire Event. Patch 2.3 made it 4 times easier to enter the Uber Realms and they added Torments were multiple organs are guaranteed to drop. On top of that they removed crafting RNG by including a socket on all HF Amulets. This and the previously mentioned cost of Forgotten Souls being 5 times the cost to craft a new one. It really is more efficient to just farm the machines and get a new one crafted if you can kill Ubers on T7 or higher.

The HF Ring is designed to be more of a leveling item. The 45% XP bonus is great for those HC players who need to replace a character or a SC player that needs wants to level a class they haven't tried.

You have to look at the Design Intent of each item. The ring is designed for Levels 1-69. And the Amulet is an end game item. By allowing a reroll on the ring, it allows you to change main stat from Strength to Dex or Int. So you can level that Monk or Wizard after you've tried out Crudader. Still, I tend to think its still cheaper and more efficient just craft a new one.

posted a message on Bola Setup?

This isn't an end game build but the suggestion to add depth diggers is correct. You will need an RRoG cubed or equipped to make it work. Also make sure you have Grenadier as a passive skill. It makes CA LfB much better.

If you don't have Grenadier on, you should be able to kill monsters 2 difficulties higher.

posted a message on Preferred mob types and maps for pushing higher GRs?

Ok, nobody is pushing really hard with DH this season. But I really want to get my season journey done on DH. The leader boards are 58 a the low end.

I just completed GR 56. So I started pushing GR 57. I think I got a really good GR map when I did my third attempt at GR 56. I completed it with over 2 minutes left. So I started GR 57s. And I can't get a decent map. I just can't kill monsters fast enough.

I have a few rules I am following right now for fishing. I leave immediately on Keep Depth maps. There isn't a good way to agro enough monsters for density with all the little hallways. I also just leave when I see the first winged assassin. I can kill them but I can't kill a room full of them and there is no way to kite them.

Just looking for suggestions on what else to look for on higher level maps to complete on time.

I had to resort to making a monk this season to upgrade gems on public games. Monks have like 4 builds and they just leave if the comp doesn't fit their build. A DH seems to never fit so a Ulianna monk it is. Any way I got 2 of my gems to 60 and the third one is at 58. I hate that I can't do this with my DH. You just can't survive Pick up games at 60. But I reached a point where DH solo was really inefficient for gem upgrades. I can clear 52 consistently then you hit a wall with 1% chances.

UE build. Forgot to mention. I really can't stand Nats.

    TIA

posted a message on [Discussion] Favorite Generator Setup

I prefer the cubed Kridershot build with Frost Arrow. Yeah, you actually have to click on your target. But once it does it hits everything behind it. You do lose MfD, but, unless you are double stacking with Contagion and Calamity, you are better off procing BotT and CtW on more enemies and but you don't have to use IceBlink. As you upgrade your BotT, it gets begins to outperform the 40% you get from MfD. I prefer the benefit of Zei's over IceBlink. If IceBlink had a better 2ndary Affix. I can get the 10% CHC from Bait the Trap and I like the Caltrops to get the additional slows. I also prefer ES:Justice is Served over EV:Focus. With the new belt, those arrows get there really fast and you only lose 1 Hatred per cast. It's the same thing with this build you have to click on the monsters, but more so since you want to hit different targets each cast to spread out the slows. Still for raw damage EA:FA is really good.

I personally wish Blizzard would change out the way Omryn's Chain worked. I would prefer it to drop the Caltrop at the destination over the cast location. That way you wouldn't lose Discipline for the Caltrop and the vault using Bait the Trap. I would use an Ancient Omryn's over Witching Hour to get a lot of defense. I tried this set up in S3, I swapped it out for Witching Hour and free Caltrops are really nice to have. But overall, I wound up pushing solo with Witching Hour because of the drop mechanic.

    Quote from Nrjizer»

find it hard to believe that it is possible alone

so my guess will be a bug or smt

back on PTR for the patch I did it alone with DH Multishot build (Took me 26 minutes)

Multishot is a AoE build, i doubt you were able to kill bosses with it, and solo... yeah...
Multishot Arsenal has rockets that can crit in the Billions. If you have single target, all 3 rockets go for the single target. You have no idea how DH spells work, do you? If you have Stricken you can kill a TX boss in less than 10 seconds. The only boss this a problem is Uber Magda because she had shielding to get past.
OP, if you split up to do the conquest, someone will get to a boss first. Don't accept immediately. Instead teleport back to town using the "T" key. Once you are there accept the invite. After you kill the boss DO NOT teleport out of the boss arena. Instead use the Map by pressing "M" and select a town. Since you didn't create a new portal from the boss arena to town, your portal that you created before the fight still exists. You can then resume you search for the boss you were looking for. Your partner should do the same thing.

    http://www.d3planner.com/946305439

Here is my build. It's far from optimal. I have cindercoat cubed and equipped. So you obviously have an option to cube some armor. Probably use beckonsail or something. I honestly just threw together ancient items and fire stuff. I suppose if u had an andareal helm you cube the prides fall. Just spam Multishot. The build holds even with the clock so you will need a pylon. I finished with over 40 seconds on the clock.

I recommend doing the 6 gem conquest first. It gives you build options.
