Oh i wasnt talking about the monk being the new paladin, i meant the re-imagine thing in general for all the classes theyve made so far.

Oh then I completely agree. Perhaps a templar, Inquisitor, knight, Crusader, there are a number of names for a paladin-like class.

I'm a big fan of the Paladin too...I realize not everyone is.

I like the concept of a well balanced warrior melee/magic. I also like that the warrior answers to a higher calling. It's a good vs evil thing, and I get into that.

I realize that Blizz needed to change things up with the holy class, so that it wasn't more of the same. Still, as good as the Monk is/will be, it's not quite the same as a Paladin or Templar Knight character.

The Paladin will be missed, at least by me anyway

Thats probably one of the biggest thing about the paladin I love. Being able to take the hits but still deal out nasty spell damage. The Barbarian was awesome as a melee only, the sorceress amazing as a spellcaster only, but the Paladin was the perfect blend.

Well the classes can always be re-imagined and remade, but the point is we just dont want the old classes back.

Yes, they can be re-imagined and remade, but a monk is not a re-imagination of the Paladin. I think its actually a failure to the Paladin. I hope that they do in fact give him a grand entrance in the moment they need him most, and that would be in an expansion. If he rides in on a horse enlightened, both armored to the teeth, and he jumps off and unsheathes a sword of light and secures his shield on his arm...I'll bust a nut.

I'm in, what happened to 1.13 signup? But anyways. USWest sounds better to me :) And this looks promising, you have been on this site for a long time. Count me in.

Also, I can't wait for 1.13 hopefully the game picks back up. USWest as of right now is liek dead. (So i play USEast atm.) But, I will switch over after patch. (I would like to know which realm asap though. I know you said USwest.. but if this isn't going to kick off, I'll want to stay with USeast ya know?)

    Is this starting/active now?

I plan to start it a day before the patch. The reason for this, is so we can all get on in a channel and add each other to friend's lists. That will make it a much smoother transition to the game when the patch kicks in, and it will almost seem as if we've been playing for a while together.

Get to know each other, maybe do some question/answers for the guild, the game, the lore, all that other fun stuff.

Now, are we going to want to have a tag on our characters? For example:

    C_Carloseus
    C_Goddess
    C_Ubersmiter

So on and so forth. Doesn't have to be just C_, we can all decide on something if we want to have one. I'm not going to impose it on everyone because frankly, that would just be unfair. What say the denizens of Carnage?

I'll surely be a part of this, as long as you don't mind me still being in my little guild/clan between me and my friends. We're basically doing the same thing you described, I usually have time on my hands when I'm online so I help out my friends a lot anyway.

If that's okay. I can start as soon as I deal with these problems I'm having with D2 installation... I think my D2 files are infected with a virus.. because it only detects it when I try to install it for some reason.

EDIT: It seems it's a problem with my shitty anti-virus. I'm getting back on tonight.

Nope, I have no problem. Maybe you can help me, I've heard your a god at d2jsp.

Well I was going to pass it by the SICK leaders, but apparently SICK is gone. So for those who were in SICK, or just anyone wanting in a fun guild/clan, I've been thinking of starting a group for players who can pretty much game together and will genuinely help each other out.

Carnage is the name of this group. It will be headed by myself, and there will be more leadership appointed as I find those capable of it. The aim of this group is PvM, so if you'd like to play with people who just PvM and be able to always find good information or advice concerning your style of play, why not join?

Of course like any organization there are rules. The rules are simple, they go pretty much along with everything everyone already knows.

    -No stealing/cheating/lying.
-Try to keep arguments to a minimum. I understand they happen, but we should try to be cohesive instead of a cluster fuck.
-Be willing to help. If you aren't doing anything, and a friend needs to kill Baal, it would be nice for you to help him no?
-You must be good at the game. And if you are new to Battle.net play, you must be willing to learn.

Ultimately I want this to be what SLAYERS was, and more. For those of you who do not remember SLAYERS, we were some of the most badass gamers in USWest.

If you wish to join, post saying so.

We will be in USWest, primarily Softcore, and we will be deadly. If you play WoW, it is encouraged to talk so that we might even organize a way where we can all play together.

My hopes for this group is that we may grow and get to know each other here on the forums or via IM or text, and launch when the new patch hits D2. We will remain a group, active at least as a network if not ingame until Diablo 3 comes out.

    Who's in?

Same here. Boots can be nasty.

Well, I've gone on hikes with 70lb packs for 9 miles up and down the mountains of Camp Pendleton. I've also gone on runs wearing boots. Alot of combat exercises with packs and equipment.

When someone doesn't tie their boots properly, bad things happen. Really bad things. There was a Marine who's laces came undone, and he twisted his ankle so bad that they had to cut off the sole of his boot and then the rest of the boot off to see the damage and stop the bleeding. It was not good.
