Yea, it confused me at first, i thought it was about the duality between heaven and hell in D3's environments.
And Anakyn has the right idea. You don't have to bet anything obviously, but if its possible without exploitation, then why not bet xp? Just think about high-ranked pro-matches. (Ones where there is actual honor, instead of shameless cheaters and scammers) Win or pretty much loose your character (all in?), sounds like it could bring some excitement.

Something I think many of us got pissed about was when we had 2.3 million gold and got NK'd. Seeing how Blizzard intends to make the gold value much higher, I really hope they dont incorporate the same feature from D2 into D3. Thats IF gold means something in D3.

Equinox, who pissed in your coffee?
Lighten up dude, relax a bit.

Somebody show me on the box where it says DII is based on a bazilian character creation gameplay.
Im being sarcastic, but when they game was brought to market, I doubt thats what everyone did was make tons of char's.

but whatever, it doesnt matter now. DIII will be different. I just know it.

The more levels that you can obtain, the less your going to create a bazillian new characters.
Thats something I grew tired of doing.

First off, it's "Duel," not "Dual;" two entirely different meanings, and I've made the correction to the thread title.

Second, I kinda like Doppel's suggestion... all of you "hardcore" PvP people, so cock-sure of yourselves... why NOT invest your XP in your bravado? You think you're so tough?
Put it on the line, then...

    Prove It.

If you're as fuckin' awesome as you claim, then you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain...

lol thanks for the fix, I noticed it after i had re-read the topic, but decided I was too lazy to make the fix, so thanks for going out of your way to make the correction.

    Cheers.

I dont think Ive seen this discussed, and I would like to hear what veryone has to say.

The PvP world is half of the fun in Diablo. Most of you would agree, and im sure Blizzard has recognized this.

What I would like to see. Although im not a fan of WoW, they had the right idea about duels. One person must agree to duel another person when prompted.
I expect to see something like this in D3, or something similar to allow party duals.

They need a way to make dauls either, Private, or Party Dual.
    1v1 --- 2v1 --- 2v2 --- etc.

If they took the PvP to heart, I hope they make an arena for all dualists.
A server dedicated to dualists thats always on the list of games to join.
We assume that a normal game will have a max player join at 4 or 5 people.

The Dual room should have a 50 person limit or more!
Considering that its a Blizzard server, it can hold hundereds of people at once.

While people dual, others can watch while waiting in line!

I know this is far fetched, but what do you think?
Thoughts? ideas? Flame? Go kill yourself?

From what information I have gathered, i doubt it will be easy to farm.
Especially when the make games to where a max of 4-5 people join per game.

What I see from peoples opinions: Everyone is tired of the lvl 99 cap. its a stupid number to stop at.
150 sounds pretty good. Also remember that upon each lvl, you able to get (by killing monsters) more gg equipment.

If they make D3 with a lvl cap at 99, then its just like fucking D2!!!
    woohoo, lvl 99...its nothing new!

I say more than 100 but NO more than 200.
The 200% gap in lvling compared to D2 would be A LOT more fun I think.

Im glad to see some people agree with me! I also grew very very tired of the lvl 99 cap.
I was a classic player. not LOD, even though I couldnt reach 99, i was always in the 90's and it got old really fast.

Sure it makes players make for characters, but at one point when you have 20 dins, 20 zons, 20 sorcs, 20 barbs, You dont really want to make anymore damned characters!!!

I say let the high level go sky high, and actually have a godly character!
So what if theres a race to see who's the Godliest, I WOULD JOIN THAT RACE!
I think it would be fun as hell!

Thats just it guys, we DONT know how the skill tree will be.
Every responce has been based on D2 stats and mechanics.
D3 isnt going to be like D2 in these ways.

Also, who said lvling had to be easy! well, at a certian point.
Say a person lvl's to 100, from lvl 100 it takes 5 times as much effort to level. or more.
NOT assuming that D3 is going to be akin to D2's stats and skills tree.

OR! lets say when you reach lvl 100, you can no longer get skills. Only your attributes are raised just a little each level.
Im tryin to think outside the horadrix cube here!

Something ive been wondering, is whats the leveling going to be like.
I hope its not similar to Diablo's 1&2.
Diablo classic was rather hard, and time consuming to reach 90+
Diablo LOD enabled players to reach lvl 99 (highest).

Is there going to be a lvl sytem like Diablo 1&2? lvls 1-99 and stop?

Or is there going to be a lvl higher than 100!
I would actually be very attracted to the fact that if D3 had a lvling sytem that was limitless!
    level 1-???

I know this might conflict with the skill tree, but who knows how the skill tree is used in D3? no one does!

If there wasnt a level restriction, that would persuade people to not make a million characters.

    Thoughts? additions?

posted a message on Diablo 3 on a console??
Im pretty sure though, given the information by Blizzard, that there WILL NOT be a console version of Diablo III.

They wont want to make the transition of formats (PS3, Xbox360, Wii)
The format layout of these new console are entirely different than that of the PS1.

Plus, I doubt Blizzard will sell out their franchise that has done so well.
Blizzard likes to keep their creations to themselves.
    They wont sell out.

posted a message on Graphics card for diablo III
    Heres the deal.
Any graphics card that has 128 mb should run D3. Based on the engine D3 is using.
Any less and it wont run for sure.

I suggest a 512 or higher (8000 series or higher Geforce)
Or run two or three cards in SLI (like me) and you wont have to worry about graphics ever agian.
I run three 8800 GT overclocked 640 mb cards in SLI.
    DirectX 10.

However! Diablo 3 most likely will not require DirectX 10.
    DirectX 9 should be sufficient.

    Questions? PM me.

posted a message on Diablo 3 on a console??
    Heres what I think.
Diablo is a PC game, and should stay that way.
Putting such a fantastic game on console, will basturdize Diablo completely.
Letting the console companies get they pathetic hands on such godly material would be a disaster.

Who the fuck want Microsoft adding downloads in D3?!?!?!
    That would RUIN the game.

Should they put Diablo III, my soon to be prized possesion, on console?
    Not no.....but HELL NO!!!!
